  1. That trailer just made me so unbelievably happy to see. I've missed Deadpool.
  2. LAst night's raw was the first one in a long time I watched from front to back and I really enjoyed it. Not enough can be said about how great Drew has been on the mic as of late. I also sort of want them to keep him as the mountain Sami can't climb and keep it in their back pocket for a big moment at a PPV somewhere down the line. We're getting an Awesome Truth tag title run in the future aren't we? Rollins has never been someone I've overall enjoyed. He is like the Young Bucks to me, I enjoy his matches, but i never seek anything out from him. But that promo was fantastic IMO. If they have to pivot to Rock/Roman, he sold that possibility tenfold and Cody's facial expressions did as well. Kofi/Gunther was awesome, DIY/JD was awesome. I thought it was a nice touch that ater Rhea called out all of Judgement Day at the beginning of the show, she was the only one who looked "weak" by the end. Just want to add, I miss Big E. Just a random thought
  3. I've always thought Punk was severely overrated and never in the top 5 of any fed he was ever in. That feud is the only time I've ever seen what so many people raved about and for a brief bit, I got it. Then he had Hangman's worst title match, got the belt way too soon and the rest is history
  4. If this is it for Punk, my personal feelings on him aside, the feud with MJF was incredible. Just phenomenal wrestling from top to bottom in terms of match quality, promos, etc.
  5. I'm sure I'll get my Punk bias attacked in short order, but good lord, has he just become lame, JAG in WWE in short order and pales in comparison to Gunther, Cody and Drew. and ill be honest about it, i couldn't care less if the guy got injured or not, he's a persona grata other than a great entrance theme and quippy catchphrases at this point. the main event scene doesn't need him in WWE and I honestly argue they needed him more in AEW.
  6. No matter where my loyalties lie, what my current enjoyment is. The rumble is and always be my favorite pro wrestling show. and the best will always be 1998 ust because Foley was in it 3 times.
  7. Trent/Chuck not having any gold at this point in the company's run is borderline criminal, i'd have even taken a trios run with OC.
  8. That would get me to see this in a heartbeat.
  9. It seems theyre building towards a triple threat for the belt with Swerve/Joe/Hangman, but im not sure who could take a loss between Swerve/Hangman right now and i don't think Joe should even be close to losing the title.
  10. What...... The Sandler Space Spider movie seems more reasonable and grounded.
  11. The Joe/Lesnar feud gave us the awesome moment where Joe calmly threatened Paul Heyman with a smile on his face an then chokes him out. Just a brilliant segment. Really felt that Joe should've won the belt in that feud. So happy to see him on top now with the same aura.
  12. As soon as I saw the ending, I knew that the internet would have the most level headed reactions to the Bucks being Sting's last opponent. I'm going to go ahead and take a wild guess that Sting himself handpicked his last opponent, so while not being a big fan of the Bucks(despite liking their matches for the most part), I have no issue. I also think it's somewhat refreshing in a way that we're not going to get a Darby v Sting match. A partnership that doesn't lead to a "fight" is something you don't see often in wrestling. Shit, even FTR has only faced each other once (I was at that show in Philly, really happy I got to see that live). Armchair booking and handwringing what was likely Sting's choice just seems...weird to me. The guy earned the right to pick his final opponent, no matter what personal feelings people have towards the opponents in question.
  13. I took Episode 1 for a spin with low expectations and really enjoyed it. I'm in a hotel for work tonight, so i might binge the whole thing.
  14. I saw a bunch of discourse over it on Facebook, but then again, that's Facebook where trolls/mutants are left unchecked with reckless abandon....so i wouldn't really count it. Other than that, nada. But, if it was that bad on Facebook, i can imagine it was just as, if not worse on Twitter where TK likes to reside.
  15. He'd be a far more interesting champion than Rollins, that's for sure.
  16. You're right, I should probably be careful what I wish for. I already saw someone on FB basically calling WBD "liars" and "AeLiens" making stuff up....so the disconnect is already out there. But sometimes, seeing the stages of mental gymnastics can be fulfilling in small doses.
  17. I can't wait to see the moving of the goal posts from certain posters......
  18. Im probably the only one who wants AEW to do a no rope barbed wire match with Swerve/Hangman. It's feasibly the only real violent path left? I've read rumors about a cage match, but i think if they wanted to do a cage, they should've done that second.
  19. I don't know, I think both TK and Mox knew that Mox wasn't going anywhere. Mox might be the exception in terms of putting a title on an unsigned. I feel he's going to be in AEW for the rest of his career
  20. This definitely was one of the weaker AEW PPVs, but considering the high bar that has been set, that's not necessarily an insult. I had an absolute blast during this and I'll echo the sentiment of almost everyone else, Mox/Kingston was MOTN with Cope/Christian sitting in the 2nd spot. I'm really happy to see the title on Joe and can't wait to see who steps up to challenge him next. I want to say Swerve, but i dont think he should lose the belt that quickly and i dont think Swerve should lose right now. My only letdown with the Devil reveal is that I really wanted KOR/Bobby Fish back
  21. Complete with Maniacal laughter as the camera pans out to reveal that it's not MJF in the mirror, it's BOB and the laughing continues as the screen fades to black
  22. Flacco winning the SB while Watson looks miserable on the sideline seeing what a competent, non shitbag/degenerate QB is capable of....that's the ending of the season I want.
  23. Is Kyle O'Reilly cleared? I wouldn't mind ReDragon being revealed as ROH tag champs, if anything to keep pressure on breaking Cole/MJF eventually?
  24. I absolutely know I'm going to forget some stuff, but im going to give my best at an updated list. 1. Danielson/ZSJ, WrestleDream 2. Hangman Page/Swerve Strickland, AEW Full Gear 3. Omega/Ospreay, AEW Forbidden Door 4. Danielson/Starks, Strap Match, AEW All Out 5. Danielson/Kingston, AEW Collision, 12/2/2023 6. Hangman Page/Jon Moxley, AEW Revolution 7. Bullet Club Gold v FTR, AEW Collision July 15, 2023 8. Danielson v Okada, AEW Forbidden Door 9. MJF/Adam Cole, AEW All In. *I have an asterisk on this one because it's not in the top 10 best matches I watched this year in AEW, not close. But why I'm including it is because MJF and Adam Cole had an almost impossible task of main eventing AEWs first HUGE stadium show in a foreign market. The pressure and expectations were off of the fucking charts and they both not only delivered a great match, but they delivered pitch perfect story notes on, and your mileage may vary, an incredible, organic storyline. I didn't want to put it above any of the other matches, but it deserves a top 10 nod. 10. Anna Jay-AS and Tay Melo v Willow Nightingale and Ruby Soho, AEW Rampage, 01/13/2023 *I have an asterisk for this one as well. There were "better" matches throughout the year, even in the womens division, but I can't overlook how amazing this match was and what all 4 competitors put themselves through. It's a sentimental favorite because i Loved the pairing of Ruby and Willow(I am STILL so heartbroken I can't find their merch shirt they wore in this match for my daughter and I, if anyone has a link, please drop it here. Honorable Mentions: MJF/Danielson, Garcia/Danielson, Danielson/RUSH, Danielson/Bandido, any of the other Mox/Hangman matches, FTR/Young Bucks(All In), Swerve in Our Glory/Acclaimed, Mox/Orange Cassidy 1. EDIT: I'm sitting here and just thinking of more and more and more matches i would include. Lull in the product or not, AEW never fails to put on amazing matches.
  25. I'm hazy on it, but are their raps much different now from when they were heel?
