  1. Not into Wyatts either. I just see some fat guy trying to hide his babyface with a terrible beard and shitty tattoos while doing the goddamn electric slide. Where's the subtlety?

I know everyone has already laid into you for having an opinion, but could you clarify just what it is you're talking about? These aren't real criticisms, like "the way he speaks takes me out of the moment, not what he is saying." What would you have him do differently, aside from lose weight, shave and laser off his tattoos?

TL;DR version: I don't care for this gimmick. I don't see any flexibility or longevity. I just see three guys with beards with clothing way too clean lookin' to be some backwoods jerk offs.

So, clean clothes? Okay, *now* your opinion sucks.

  2. The musical distraction is the most protected finish in WWE today.

Yeah, I would much rather watch an entire card of Batista-Orton matches than see this finish get used even once more. It makes everyone involved look bad.

  3. Also, I don't think anybody's mentioned how they completely blew the Emma skin-the-cat entrance by having her pull it off the first time, then rejoice about it like she did on NXT, *when she'd been attempting it for months.*

  5. There is nothing wrong with the Neutralizer and replacing it with the jackhammer certainly wouldn't make any more sense from a psychology standpoint.

I think if they're going to bring back the jackhammer, it would be wise not to give it to someone who can be easily compared to Goldberg. So no one with a shaved head and no monster faces like Big E. Harper would be a good choice if his spinning clothesline weren't already so great.

  6. All the bad booking decisions on this show and people are actually saying that the Usos-Outlaws feud should have ended after a week of Usos squashes? Come on. What would that have even done for the Usos? They're trying to give them that big win they didn't get off The Shield to legitimize them as a top-level team. This requires buildup.

  7. And they wonder why their PPVs don't do as well as they want.

For free we get MOTY candidates like Cesaro-Cena but on ppv we get boring shit like Orton-Cena part 54.

The buildup for Elimination Chamber has been better than for any PPV in recent memory.

  8. It makes sense that Hall goes in first because he's basically done as an in ring performer - Nash just did the Rumble.

Is there anyone (outside of Moolah/Mae comedy stuff) in the HoF that has come back and worked a match after their induction? It seems like they only want to induct people who are done in the ring.

  9. "I know something about that Elimination Chamber and the strategy it takes to win one..." - HHH

Get injured and book yourself to win? (honestly I never saw said match in question, I just think it's funny it got brought up here right around the time he says this)

Jeez, he can't even work within kayfabe to strongly put Cesaro over as a legitimate contender without someone complaining.

  10. Now if it was me, I would have taken away the cars because its not really integral to the character and its been done before.

This is all I meant - I get that they took away all the unique aspects of his character and that is what killed him, I just never viewed the cars as one of those aspects. If he had still lost everything else and kept the car entrance, the face run would still have fallen on its face.

  11.

At the risk of being labelled a "carelord," is there some way that we can reign in some of this potentially explosive chatter? Some sort of line in the sand that could be drawn? It's not like it's discussion of his matches or the effect of the murders on WWE Network programming, it's just unnecessary.

Do you have an actually suggestion for that line, or is it just whatever doesn't make you lose your wood and become unable to fap over pro wrestling?

I started a thread in this section of the board (rather than derailing another thread, since the RIJ thread is going in that direction as we speak) so we could discuss just that - at what point do you think it will be out of hand? Do the "Benoit was framed" people have to show up again?

ETA: I thought I made it clear that my suggestion for the line was somewhere between "talking about Benoit matches and the murders' effect on WWE programming" and "stupid jokes and theorizing what Benoit was thinking as he murdered his wife and child," my apologies if I didn't communicate that.

  12. Between some definitive expert trying to explain Benoit's murder motives in the Talk Is Jericho thread and tromataker's painfully unfunny joke in the banning thread, I am growing a bit weary of it all.

I think you're reaching in defense of someone when one of your arguments is "it's okay when Cena does".

You skipped over 5 pages and plucked out a single line and then didn't do much with it. I'm not sure you're built for this. Come back to me when you want to counter one of my arguments and have a serious conversation about them.

I didn't skip anything. I read every post in the silly discussion, and plucked the most laughable defense. Was not one of your arguments "it's okay when Cena does it"? as I claimed? My counter to that is "on what planet's internet does Cena get a pass for anything?" So....

"silly discussion" ...  "laughable defense"....   You are terrible at this. Yes, I used Cena as an example of someone who has received a pass for laughing off his losses. I am fully aware that Cena has received his fair share of criticism over the years but this is the only wrestling board I am currently reading and this also happens to be a place where Cena is very popular. Which is great.. I am not a huge Cena fan but I do enjoy a lot of his work. With that said, I don't recall anyone on here getting on him for showing up his opponents after he's been defeated.

This was only a small part of the argument. When Triple H attacks the tag champions... people hate it. When The Rock defeats the Dudleys, that's fine. When CM Punk defeats The Shield 3 on 1, that's fine...

There are levels to this shit. I'm not attempting to make Triple H appear to be something he isn't..  I'm pointing out inconsistencies in posting.

That it happens so often with different wrestlers points to the bad writing more than it points to Triple H.

  14. I feel like Goldust is the wrong person to base that argument on, seeing as he's pretty much been perpetually over

If you think that Dustin Rhodes would be getting the same reactions as Goldust, you're living in a fantasy world. Goldust gets reactions because he's one of the best characters in the history of the company.

Do you have any reason to say they're losing heat, or did you just run out of things to blame on the Outlaws?

They're getting cheered less because more people are cheering for the Outlaws who should be the heels?

Except they aren't getting cheered less at all. And even if they were getting cheered less in the two damn weeks it's been since the Rumble, it would be much more likely that it's because the crowds have been terrible and not because "Hey the Outlaws beat them cleanly so I'm just going to stop cheering them."

  15. Yeah, they were on a pretty good roll before the Outlaws showed up. Even if they were dropping a few too many non-title matches, they were at least having good matches and were over. Now the Rhodes Bros are having their worst matches as a team and are losing heat because they're constantly jobbing to a team that hasn't been relevant since 1999 and working as tweeners for no discernible reason.

Do you have any reason to say they're losing heat, or did you just run out of things to blame on the Outlaws?
