  1. Is there anything of a fictional nature? Why the 92 quit attempt?
  2. I just saw my first copy of the Observer ever. Holy crap! Man I have questions. How in the world has Dave done this for so long? In terms of size of content, where does Dave rate in the modern age? This has got to be some sort of record right? Out of morbid curiosity, has Dave written anything non-wrestling? Do they always not indent paragraphs?
  3. Is there any word on Flair in the last few days? These last few years have seemingly become a steaming rolling train of sadness for the guy and I just want to know he's sourrounded by people that will help him right now given what has got to be another long ride on the sadness train.
  4. I hear Hogan gets 5 figures per appearance. I wonder what he got for that match.
  5. Both are on networks nobody watches. Both have dodgy outlooks ahead of them. And their shows don't even air head to head. Maybe Ultima Lucha will overlap with Impact for an hour but if a monster in the basement, a dragon man, and a ghost lady don't surprise anybody then I doubt a Mexican that doesn't speak Spanish appearing on two different channels at the same time will. Why does TNA fear using Hernandez on video? Wouldn't the violation of the contract fall squarely on Hernandez?
  6. https://youtu.be/0cwRqciEGpI This looks like Bisch might have had one before hand and just doesn't give a shit about wrestling any more. Awesome.
  7. Since I suspect every ppv involving Jeff Jarrett in the main event has only drawn smaller and smaller numbers, would that not make him both the smartest man in wrestling and the worst draw of all time all?
  8. Man, I just discovered Mikey Nicholls last week and he's seriously amazing. Total Steve Austin Hollywood Blondes vibe. And he does so many little things that it's ridiculous.
  9. It's like a hair tie, it works great for a while and then one day it just snaps and it's no longer functional. I really no longer have any real feelings on the Benoit thing. I've experienced so much other screwed up stuff in my personal and professional life, that some guy on tv who I never met doing a horrendous act really doesn't impact me. "Heros" being let downs is old hat at this point. I think the murder-suicide was when wrestling just stopped being kinda fun for me and all I could think about was how dumb what some wrestlers do is. The more I think about it, the sadder it makes me for guys like Foley and Ziggler. My love of deathmatches is gone now too and I don't think it was Benoit, I think it is just age. I'm no longer in my 20's and life seams like an almost more serious affair now that I'm still trying my best to laugh at. To spend time focusing on one crazy act by some guy I only know through an illuminated picture box is just not on my priorities list.....and yet talking about him online is.....it's weird.
  10. Hey speaking of Ring Ka King....why did that fail? It seemed like it was wildly popular.
  11. Honestly, that would allow it to make some amazing tv. Imagine if guys were jumping between the shows and invading or switching sides and the whole thing was told over continous 2 hour blocks of tv. It could be great. It won't happen.
  12. Some people can do drugs and not have a problem. Some people can't. I doubt the head injuries didn't contribute to his eventual end. And now you make me sad about Mick.
  13. Cute couple. I'm surprised this isn't a WWE network show. Shawn and Bret on wacky adventures. It's really nice to see these two finally seeming to let it go.
  14. Someone correct me here, but doesn't Punk own the copyright on his gimmick and couldn't he sue them for trying to damamge/defame/hurt his brand? It would be really ironic. I mean if he owns the gimmick, I'm pretty sure they couldn't do this without his ok.
  15. Would anyone else be interested in starting a kickstarter to get something like Steven Hawkins has for Bobby?
  16. And how screwed up is it he'll probably get better benefits from doing one of those movies than working as an "independent contractor" for the WWE.
  17. This feels like the epitome of hype and no substance. From a marketing stand point this is so bad.
  18. Is this the first time for anything like this? I don't recall WWE or WCW getting anything like that.
  19. Bryan's suggestion that R-Truth has become Black Ryder, would be awesome if it was a tribute to Dusty's Midnight Rider.
  20. Man I can't wait for the day when Finn talks about learning to drive with Dusty Rhodes.
  21. So? There's a fat people movement that landed a large woman on the cover of People magazine. Fat in wrestling has been there for a long time. Haystacks, Dusty Rhodes, Dick Murdoch, King Kong Bundy, Viscera, Yokozuna, Umaga....and a long list of others, have all been fat and successful in wrestling. Yes, I am perfectly aware of that. And half of those names listed are some of my favorites to watch in the ring. And really, you're quoting a "fat people movement" in your argument? Seriously? The problem, as noted, is not that Hero had gained weight, but that he seemed completely uninterested in fixing it. WWE has a certain standard they want their workers to maintain, and he didn't appear to be doing so, for whatever reason (motivation, injuries, etc). That doesn't mean Chris Hero is a bad worker. It means he's not what WWE wants. My point was that the thought of cosmetics dictatating drawing power is clearly an innaccurate assesment given current cultural trends and previous history on the matter. Now that people have gone explaining it being an attitude issue, ok. Not the first guy to have that problem, just weird. The guy has dedication for what he does, but he doesn't seemingly want to do what it takes to get to that final ledge. Maybe he's just not wired that way.
