Magnus looks like he's being dropped into the dip from Roger Rabbit.

When they started freaking out because they thought the guy with the sign was going to propose to his girlfriend I was nearly in tears. Everyone knows to expect ball breaking when they ask questions, and hopefully it keeps drunk assholes with terrible questions from stepping up.

This reminded of another Tarsem Singh film, The Fall. Seriously gorgeous location shooting.Oh, and The Cell. Which would have otherwise been the most generic '00s serial killer movie ever if it were not for the great visuals.

Who played Jack Swagger's mascot? Never mind, just put Swagger himself in there, give him something to do.New Day really need to start naming and personifying that bird icon. Also, they need a screaming eagle-sque mascot.

My wife is starting to feel the baby move. She told me early fetal movement is called quickening. I got excited and spent ten minutes unsuccessfully explaining Highlander to her.

Terminator 2 and Basic Instinct.

Rewatching T2 made me really appreciate Linda Hamilton's contribution to the Terminator franchise. It was always going to be a task to recast that part.

You guys are misremembering it. That wasn't Hulk Hogan, it was Terry Bollea that feuded with Kidman. It was a shoot bro!

It just needs a better caption.
"Did you go out drinking with Vince bro?! At least he didn't draw any dicks."
"Is this some sort of Kabuki thing? Sorry I always mispronounce it, bukake."

Yes. Jericho's body has seen better days, but I think it was all the more noticeable because he was working the most ridiculously cut dude on the roster.Neville is an unlikely combination of nearly the smallest guy on the roster and most juiced guy on roster. That probably appeals to Vince.

I never realized Egg from Arrested Development was Bill Pullman's daughter in ID4, or that his wife was the Major Crime's lady.

I think Genisys even doing the business it has is a testament to the goodwill fans of the franchise have for Arnold. I'm curious to see if Paramount sticks their neck out with sequels just to squeeze whatever they can out of Terminator before Cameron gets the rights back.

Hannibal killing Pazzi in the book/movie is perhaps the pinnacle of the character being untouchable and theatrical. They pretty much did the scene verbatim and then immediately followed it up by showing how much he's slipping. The show's not perfect, but it's relationship to the source material and its desire to expand upon who/what Hannibal is has been really neat.

I was happy for Finn, but I wish I liked his work more. Based on what I've seen from him, once he hits the main roster he'll have good matches with the usual suspects (Cena, Cesaro, Sheamus), but he'll struggle to gel with most of the roster. He seems to be the opitome of a guy who works up to his opponent's level.

All of Hogan's plans are tentative until he finds out if the venue is bandana-friendly.

I drank too many energy drinks at work and now it's past 2 am and I'm listening to Blizzard of Ozz and watching Kawada kick people. I'll probably be up for the show.

Hahaha McG wanted to make Spring Awakening!

Okay. My wife was like, "They spent all that time trying to get rid of the arm and the chip, and then he just leaves his arm laying around in the factory when he has Sarah terminate him?!"
-
Okay, so I just got done rewatching T2. Is the T-800's crushed arm being left in the factory a plot hole or was that to leave room for a sequel?
-
They should just do a different movie every season. Fatal Attraction, Fear, Play Misty For Me. Just call it, "Oh No, I Fucked a Crazy Person!"
-
You skipped over Beast Master. They aired that one so often I assumed Marc Singer was one of Ted Turner's illegitimate kids, and Turner was trying to seed Singer's trust fund with residual checks.
Beastmaster 2 seemed to be on at least one channel every time I watched TV for my entire childhood.

They've turned the promotion for Ant-Man around in the last few weeks. I think the early trailers and commercials made it come off as humorless and more like the dry early 2000s comic book adaptations. The newer stuff they've shown with Pena and Rudd actually having personality should help out. It's not going to exceed expectations like Guardians, but it won't be an embarrassment either.

What else did TBS run in the early 90s besides wrestling and baseball? I feel like they just had marathons of the Three Stooges and Andy Griffith.

Yeah, John Connor Prime gets to spend the 90s following Phish around or something. Meanwhile, this kid who only exists because Reese went back in time and protected/slept with the wrong Sarah Connor is being trained by his mother to fight and being told he's the savior.

True Detective
in MOVIES & TV
Posted
I want an ancillary character to solve the case while everyone else is gnashing their teeth about their pasts, and then they break the fourth wall and scream, "I guess I'm the True Detective!"
