All of those cities have had a WWE title change probably on Raw.

Is it wrestling related?

That was...yeah. Shit, Prisoners had 90 Oscar nominated people.
-
So, that's...
On The Waterfront and The Godfather = Brando
The French Connection and Unforgiven = Hackman
Silver Linings Playbook = Lawrence
Monsters Ball = Berry
No Country for Old Men = Bardem
So, all the movies feature an actor/actress who have won an academy award.
Isn't that like every movie now?
-
Each of those movies has someone who either won or was nominated for Best Supporting Actor at the Academy Awards (Hackman, McKellen, Tucci, Harrelson, and Bardem who won for No Country for Old Men).

Don't let Elsalva go again
How did you miss the Blade connection? I'm reeling from that still.

Any clues, sir?

Well, all four were #1 at the box office their first weekend.

I bet he hosts one of those insane trivia things on a local radio public access station with questions written by a room full of gerbils.
The only radio stations here are gospel.
-
Oh, I got it.
Um... The initial question fails, because roughly half of them did not get sworn in on Jan. 20th. Prior to FDR in the 30's, Inauguration Day was March 4th.
Technically, answer was H.W. Bush but you had to figure out the other side.
On January 20, 1989, president elect George H.W. Bush became the fourteenth vice president (the most recent) to become U.S. president. Of the 14 who ascended to the presidency: 8 upon the death of a president (Tyler, Fillmore, A. Johnson, Arthur, T. Roosevelt, Coolidge, Truman, L. Johnson) , 1 upon a president’s resignation (Ford), and 5 by seeking and winning the office on their own (Jefferson, J. Adams, Van Buren, Nixon, George H.W. Bush).
The 20th Amendment states that the President must take the Oath of Office on January 20th. Hence, Obama being sworn in the SUNDAY (20th) before the Monday (21th) when the inauguration ceremony happened this year.
Clues:
"In place of" in latin is vice
Second for second in command
The first shall be last; A Family Affair = George H.W. Bush (father of George W. Bush) was the first (George) Bush in office, but the last vice president to become president.
Ramon Wesley Case Produced By Steve = (Razor) Ramon Wesley (Blade) Cases Produced By Steve = Razorblade Suitcase was produced by Steve Albini. Razorblade Suitcase is an album by a band called Bush.

(For the record, H.W. Bush was the 5th V.P. or former V.P. to become President after Jan. 20th became Inauguration Day, so I'm claiming that as a win regardless if it is what you meant.)
Ford replaced Nixon.
A few others (including Nixon) became V.P. at some point without taking office directly from a sitting president.
WINNER WINNER CHICKEN DINNER!
BRIAN FOWLER!
-
Does Reagan's attempted assassination have anything to do with this?
Nothing to do with Reagan anymore.
8 VPs became president to death.
VPs can become president in OTHER WAYS!
-
WE'RE MISSING SOME VPs!
-
5th to become president after Jan. 20 became inauguration day?
8 VPs became president after death! That doesn't include ALL OF THEM!
-
Bush would have been the 5th VP to become Prez due to assassination.
Take away part of this sentence.
Don't think about Reagan.
-
They are both Vice Presidents who became president.
BOOYAH
The eight has been figured out so you figured out the 5 and 1.
LBJ is in the eight
Where does H.W. Bush fit in?
-
Yet I still have no damn clue what it is you want.
Your reply is right but one section of the sentence is not needed.
-
Other than both being former vice presidents who became president, and both being nominally from Texas?
One part of this reply gets you 90% there to winning this thing.
-
WHAT DO LBJ AND H.W. BUSH HAVE IN COMMON? IT'S SO SIMPLE!
-
The JBL thing was for the Bushes because no one figured it out yet.
Piranesi is extremely CLOSE CLOSE.
-
Texas
Burgundy doesn't mention Texas in that fact.
-
8 dead?
What distinction does one of the Bushes share with LBJ in that factoid?
Quiz time, nerds!
