Celtics put up 75+ in the first half for the second straight game, and this is with Porzingis only taking FOUR first half shots. This team is special, so far.

Currently playing F1 Manager on GamePass, and Football Manager 24, because I'm a hopeless addict (FM24 will also be on gamepass if you don't want to buy it next week on full release)

yup, sounds like he was suffering froim Alzheimers
No matter what you think about his personality, he's one of the greatest basketball coaches (pro or college) of all time

Should we talk about the City Edition Uniforms and the resulting on-floor designs for NBA's in-season tournament here or in the NBA thread?

To no one's surprise... Eddie Jones? He gone. (again)

Probably going to fuck off to coach Japan again

I can't even say England in Shambles (TM) because this has gone way beyond shambles. Megashambles? Gigashambles? Omnishambles?

Ok, that was a bizarre sequence. 4th and half a yard, the Colts try to draw them off side and take a delay of game penalty for a slightly longer FG, the Saints commit a penalty on the FG attempt, and the Colts then go for it on 4th and inches again and score a TD.

but it's going to give MMA fighters at the higher levels a thought that the UFC isn't the end all and be all. Why would I sign with UFC for a relative pittance when I can go other places that will give me the ability to maximize my earnings in boxing or whatever?
-
You know who's a bigger loser in this rather since Fury technically won the fight? Dana White. Just think of how many more PPV Buys he could have received for promoting Ngannou's next UFC fight?
-
Stallone is currently writing down notes for the Rocky reboot as a struggling MMA fighter, given a chance to take on the world's heavyweight champion in a boxing match.
-
What would be the bigger upset? Douglas over Tyson (Mike) or Ngannou beating Tyson (Fury?)
Edit: Fury wins by split decision. There's going to be plenty of cries of bullshit and pointing to the knockdown.

Someone get the four leaf clover shaped horseshoe out of South Africa's collective arses.
1 Point win in every knockout game. Never going to be topped (unless we get rugby's version of PK's to decide a game)

At half time of the Darnstadt-Bayern game, Darnstadt had to be chuffed, despite being down to nine men, they were 0-0 against the Champs, who were playing a man down as well. Maybe they could steal a point?
Bayern scored eight second half goals (including one from Harry Kane from his OWN HALF, part of his hat trick) to win 8-0

Great third place game, but I fear that red card has ruined the final.. first ever red card in a final. Not history you want to make

Apparently not losing a single game in 8 games in charge is enough to get you fired in Saudi.
6 wins, 2 draws, 2nd place in Saudi's Level 2 league. Yeesh

The BBC has inadvertently confirmed that older football players are much more fragile then they were in their youth: Today's headline on the BBC sport page:
"Jesus could miss 'a few weeks' with muscle injury"
Sports Talk caller: "In the old days, he woulda come back from the dead after three days, now, a muscle injury and he misses weeks? SAWFT! SAWFT I TELL YOU"
(Ok, due to space limits, they can't say in the headline it's Gabriel Jesus ;))

Great start for the Bruins so far, undefeated. Definitely a more scrappy/gritty team then last year. Having two really good goalies is a cheat code in the NHL

England is still in the final. Or at least represented at the final. England's Wayne Barnes has been named referee for the RWC final. (guess it had to be a Northern Hemishphere ref with two Southern Hemisphere teams playing, and Barnes is pretty good.

So, who ya got?
Celtics-Bucks in a clash of the titans East, and the Nuggets-? in the West here. Fuck if I know who the other West finalist will be.

Afghanistan done dood it again! This time against Pakistan

Shit, now I feel bad about making fun of him. I saw a story where a doctor says he must have suffered 100 concussions. No shit.

meanwhile on RedZone, Scott Hanson was blindsided by the Giants not having to punt in that situation
That actually happened in the Bills-Patriots game a couple years ago (the one that was played pretty much in a hurricane or a blizzard or something, just remember huge amounts of wind). Injury in the last few seconds, play clock resets and time runs out.

I’m from Florida and I’m going to just tell you that you don’t have a freaking clue…how much you know about what you’re talking about lol! We definitely have our exclusive kind of methhead. I don’t know if the mixture of so much sun or what.
Combine "Florida Man" (I still think of him as U of Miami QB) with methhead look, and yeah....

Bernie looks like a Florida methhead in that photo (originally wrote "Bernie Lokos, which makes me wonder if it's Four Loko instead of Meth)
And that last TD pass for the Pats?
It's GESICKI that rocks the pass that rocks the rocks the Pass that's right on time, GESICKI (How is it? GESICKI GESICKI GESICKI!)(With all due apologies to Run DMC's "It's Tricky")- 3

I think it was one of those "We don't want the fans to come in, knowing who's going to win the big matches, because, why would they come?" Kinda like what WWE did one time, when they had basically telegraphed Shawn Michaels winning the Royal Rumble to get the Undertaker, only to pull a swerve and get there through another method.
