I was expecting more of an all out offensive once the note he had been fired came out. Maybe that's what took so long, work out the non disparagement, or he just doesn't want to dig his "For cause" hole any deper than it's already dug.

at first, when I heard about Jack Perry basically taking a shot at Punk with the "Hey, look, real glass!" line, I kinda thought that Perry quite frankly, earned whatever Punk rage he earned.
Now, with more info coming out, I think there was a time and a place for it, and it wasn't then, and it wasn't there. And it certainly wasn't THAT much.
It must have been crazy back there. (I wonder if someone's going to leak the tapes to TMZ).
I'm kinda shocked we didn't have an instant reply from the Punk side of things, not even a "There's two sides to every story, and I want a chance to tell mine". As we've just seen, Punk usually isn't the type to let something slide in the moment. I'm honestly wondering if Punk just decided "You know what? I hate it there, they hate me there, why fight it. Let things cool down and if I feel like doing something, I can always approach Tony again, or see if WWE will take me"

SMU's Athletic Department must be in multiple billionaire's wills to go without TV revenue for just about a decade. Then again, SMU's current status probably doesn't have much TV revenue anyway. -

Following up on the Rubiales forced kiss situation....
The Spanish FA has asked UEFA to suspend or expel them. No, not because they think their President was wrong, because of "Illegal Government Intervention in the Spanish FA". UEFA already has rejected the request
This was never going to happen, because A) All the leaders have done so far is called for Rubiales to resign/be removed, and B ) Because this is definitely not the hill they want to fight "Government Intervention" on (when they've already provisionally suspended him for 90 days), and C ) This would have the knock on effect of removing all spanish teams from the Champions League, Europa League and Euro Conference League. Honestly, if I was Barca/Real, I'd be a bit pissed that this jackass is putting tens of millions of dollars at risk with this stunt.

Vunipola gets three games. At which point do you just not bring a suspended person to the world cup? They're going to miss half and three quarters of the group stage. Sure you'll have em for the knockouts, but um..with the two most important games versus Japan and Argentina right off the get-go, you might need someone to win one of those two games just to GET to the knockouts.

What a story. Mox had it right:

Bullshit.
He's been in AEW since pretty much day 1, and has built his reputation brick by brick by brick. Never getting into trouble outside the ring. He earned this main event, and honestly, I think while it was originally weird that MJF didn't have a title match on a PPV for the biggest title in AEW, there's no match that could have followed Moxley/Cassidy.
Actually, make it three months. Have him come back in 2024. And then put him right into the world title hunt.
