  1. So, looks like they're going to change the seeding method for next year's Champions League. Instead of seeding the top 8 on rankings, it's going to be the Champions League winner, and the winner of the top 7 leagues in Europe. (assuming post 2-4 will be sorted by UEFA coefficient as normal)

So this means that Barca would be in Pot 2? They really do want groups of death, don't they?

  3. I wonder if this is salary cap related, Mankins is in the fourth year of a 6/51 deal. He wasn't starting (Cannon and Connolly are projected to start at Guard), so he was apparently expendable.

Checking his contract page, this move costs the Patriots $4.25 million on the Cap this year and 4 million on the cap next year, but the Bucs are on the hook for the remaining $20.25 million.

Wright is a min-sal guy basically, so.. unless the Pats either A) Really need the cap space for future years (Future blowing up of the roster?), B) Really needed a warm body at TE (A lot of 2 RB sets coming?) or C) Think Mankins is Dunzo, or really, A-C combined, I'm not sure this makes sense.

  4. So, here's the latest update on the shenanigans in the Sony thing, where multiple groups are claiming responsibility for the DDoS, and the hackers are busy "doxxing" each other (posting real life information on the other groups).. Considering this involves a bomb threat causing a diversion of an airplane, there are probably some hackers with brown trousers right now.

This requires some kind of flow chart or maybe a  stickfigure diagram.

    What we do know:

Hackers attacked Blizzard with a DDOS attack, bringing down some of their servers

The next day, a sustained DDOS takes down Sony. Hacking group "Lizard Squad" takes credit, and tweets a bomb threat about the flight that the head of Sony Online Entertainment is taking from Dallas to San Diego

The flight is diverted to Phoenix and is thoroughly checked, no explosive found.

Another hacker (FamedGod) gets upset that Lizard Squad is taking credit and starts doxxing Lizard Squad members. Lizard Squad does the same with FamedGod, and then starts trolling hard on Twitter, claiming that this involves Jihad and that the attacks will continue until the US stops bombing ISIS.

ANOTHER hacker group, UnknownSec (an offshoot of collective Anonymous) starts doxxing both groups.

Hackers move on, taking down Xbox Live servers and (oddly) the page for Vatican City. (Lizard Squad crows about it with more jihad posts)

  5. Disappointed to hear that Lesnar-Cena II will be at Night of Champions. Expected, but disappointed. One week out as a result of that beating isn't enough. At least two, perferably a month. I'm also concerned that with Lesnar probably not having multiple appearances, this is a way to get the title back on Cena due to a fluke win

I was thinking of a four way match for the #1 contender (Cena out due to injuries sustained), and Lesnar comes in and leaves them for dead. I'm talking F5's on barriers, on the announcing table, on the ring steps if someone's insane enough to take it.

  6. Blackpool had nine men early in the morning, they do call up enough youth team members/sign folks to have four subs, but still fall 2-0.

And my favorite lower level team, Cambridge United, win their first game in the league in 9 years over Plymouth
