Wotta match between India and England. England chase a record fourth inning total for the win.

I'd love to see Mistico vs MJF, Máscara contra cabellera style, but I don't think MJF will want a high profile loss like that, and of course, Mistico's mask is not something to drop casually.

The Red Sox fandom just got RKO'd outta nowhere by this news. They're rioting.

Owlcat Games announced two new games over the last couple weeks. One is Warhammer 40K: Dark Heresy, another CRPG.. right in their wheelhouse (to go with the Rogue Trader and the two Pathfinder games)..
The other is.. a "Mass Effect-style" game set in the Expanse universe.
This is my "hopeful, yet expecting the worst" face

with HBS out of the Shadowrun sequel business, this is about as close as we'll get to a Shadowrun video game for the next few years.. I do like the web of planning, contacts, stealth/loud gameplay. Just needs Shadowrun touches (the races, magic etcetera) .
I actually bought it in early access (Shadowrun like X-com?. MINE!) but while most EA games are too slow to update, this one was the opposite. Sometimes there was a new download (with fixes or some new features/maps) every day! (there was TWO HUNDRED FIFTY FIVE early access updates during their 18 months of EA)

I have so many questions:
Why would a betting site offer bets on a track and field race?
Why would someone make a parlay based off an athlete LOSING a race?
Why would someone think it's a good plan to heckle someone in an attempt to lose a race and win your parlay..
And finally, why would you give yourself the nickname of "the track and field bully".. and POST a video of you heckling the athlete, and boasting it helped you hit your parlay..

There is cool under pressure, and then there is "Take a paneka penalty kick in in the 99th minute to keep your team from being relegated" cool. Happened last week (I'm just catching up on it now), but that has to be the ultimate in pressure.

Bridge time. If it's his achilles, does Tatum miss all of 25-26?

don't look now, but the Florida Panthers owner is going full scale Florida Man on x... EEK

That Pacers-Cavs incident tonight would have gotten a "McFilthy and McNasty" (tm the late great Johnny Most) in that it would have worked back then, but sadly for instigators today, there is instant replay catching the instigator in the act.
John Salley, Isiah Thomas, Rick Mahorn, and Bill Lambeer are all shaking their heads in disgust about how SAWFT the game has become. "No handchecking? No "Let them play" in the playoffs unless someone literally brings a machete on the court? No sneaky punches hoping to get the other player ejected?.. The game's gone man"
(To be honest, at full speed when I saw the highlight, I was confused that the man who threw the push was not the same man as being named as ejected on the title, then I saw the instant replay with the sneaky push/punch, and said "ooohhhhhhh" -
Indy is beating the Bajeezujuice out of the Cavs right now.

Not if the button is pressed and the nukes start flying, that'll give "all out" a bad connotation..

Bizarre T20 game:
Batting team, needing to win to stay in control of their own destiny (wwc t20 asia) are 192-0 after 16 overs, but notice rain off in the distance, so since T20 innings can't be declared complete like a test innings, had to have 10 people tell the umpire they were retiring out, one by one, walking to the crease, telling the ump, and walking back out.
They did bowl the opponents out for 20-ish, so it worked out.

That match will definitely be in a future edition of way of the blade..

Dear god.. that dog collar match broke the muta scale

Thought about putting this in the media thread, but..
Ok.. file this under "cool but creepy". The guy who did those epic voiceover promos for the NBA on NBC in the 90's and early 2000's? He passed away in 2017.
But in 2025, he'll be doing promos for the return of the NBA on NBC.
How is this possible? AI of course. I don't mind this because they made a deal with the person's family. That's the important part, respecting the creator's rights. Most AI-projects just grab willy nilly and don't respect those rights.
The creepy part is a man who has been dead 8 years telling us all he'll see us all in October for the tip off the NBA season.

Life comes at you fast:
The Bucks led game 5 118-111 with 40 seconds to play (and a bucks free throw left to take), and lost it (and their season).
Bucks: Missed FT
IND: 33 foot three pointer.
Bucks: Turnover (Gary Trent Jr)
IND: Halliburton hoop and 1
Bucks: Turnover (Trent Jr)
IND: Halliburton hoop
Bucks: Missed prayer at the buzzer

Another early access game I'm planning to get addicted to is Erenshor, which is a contradiction in terms, a single-player MMO. That's right, if you like MMO-style game play but hate other people, this might be for you. (it simulates all the rest of the game world, so you'll join random groups, and run across other "simplayers" doing their quests.

Speaking of England rugby (2 months ago), the women played France in a Grand Slam Six Nations Title decider, and it was a hell of a game. Watch allllll of this.

It's more of a management sim, instead of producing/directing, you're the studio head , writing (whether from a Screenwriter's ideas, using the story workshop to create a story with (protag/antag, themes, outcome etcetera), buying, building soundstages for taping (or going on location), handling promotion, etcetera
here's a yt let's player's game (up to 16 parts so far)
https://www.youtube.com/playlist?list=PLsBoF66x4ZmBo89BLRcpZCFG7fqfdmvFH
The game has about 25 years built in (there are scripted events, no random outcomes, yet), and they will add another two "acts" (what we have now is considered "Act 1") later.
and for that previous thing, here's Bricky responding to the "illegal gifts" part of the skill tree.

I will find it later.. but bricky had a short up with on yt where he went through some of the illegal gifts you can give. Won't be able to get there in the current EA version, it lets you play about 25 years, and is referred to as "act 1".. but yes there are some... Disturbing things you can give your employees

Picked up the game Hollywood animal, A game about the movie making business and it seems to be pretty good. It doesn't really shy away from sensitive topics so far I have made movies about the joys of alcohol, the life of a mafioso, and I've been approached in 1934 to make German actresses part of my stable of actresses. That's one too far for me. I guess that if you go down that path, you will be asked to fire any Jewish people working for you, and there are characters that are racist misogynistic etc
