  1. "Missile" only applies when it's off the top though.

As a fan of pre-quad tear Trips, I didn't think much of the HIAC with Foley. Just a mess and it was never going to live up to the drama of the Rumble match or Foley's HIAC with Undertaker.

  2. Zbyszko at least put himself over. Riley can't even do that. He's okay at giving impact to the moves but that's about it. We need a 'Riley reminisces about his times with da Miz' counter in the bottom right of the screen.

  3. He mostly carries Japanese footage but also has hella rare stuff from Memphis, Portland, and other territories, including a collection of golden age footage from the '50s. He's got some old lucha as well. I received an update via email last month, even though it's probably been four or five years since I've ordered anything. Shoot him an email at jlynch779 at comcast dot net and I'm sure he'll add you to the list.

I'm interested, once I have some moneys, in purchasing some of his old Japan TV DVDs with commercial releases to fill out years that Dan Ginnetty hasn't yet done. Mostly mid-to-late '90s New Japan. Oh, yeah... Other than Lynch, Dan Ginnetty is your guy for Japanese DVDs.

  4. My favourite part of the show was Stephanie implying that not only is Big Show a literal giant, but that giants are a separate species outside of homosapiens.

    Yes, that was golden.

It makes me think of the Double J/Chyna feud way back when. I paraphrase, but Dubba J said something along the lines of "MEN... IS THE DOMINANT SPECIES," or so. Jeff is wonderfully trashy.

I don't get why Big Show is being reduced to tears over having to wrestle anyone who isn't his mother.

This cracks me up too. They weren't even friends like four weeks ago, were they? I guess it's less so Bryan and more so Show whoring himself to the McMahon-Helmsley corporation.

  5. Also would note that it is incredibly idiotic to have Bryan even wrestling Orton this soon.  Just completely awful.  For all the slow burn talk - most of which I don't disagree with in principle - it seems unbelievably disingenuous to claim that this is all genius booking, slow burning, building for the long term, to a huge payoff, when they went and booked him in the main event v. Orton on the very next god damned ppv.  It doesn't even make sense from a storyline perspective as the McMahon clan can do whatever the hell they want and there is no reason to believe waiving a rematch clause is outside the scope of their abilities.  They could have easily booked him against Bully Ryback first, then maybe Reigns, then an Survivor Series team match where he gets the pin on Orton but not the title, et.  People bitching about the people bitching because of three weeks of beatdown and citing slow burn and long term build, really ought to note that their version of "slow burn" and "long term build" is not what is usually meant when those terms are used.

I couldn't believe they hot shot the Orton/Bryan match so soon. That's been their biggest mistake in my opinion. I love this story and it's going to help a lot of guys out long term if the execution meets half its potential but there's no reason why they should have Bryan wrestle Orton at this stage. Make him go through the Shield in a decisive manner or something. Make him earn it. Running it now just makes the eventual screw job too obvious.

Randy Savage would have simply said "HHH, you can't fire the Macho Man!" and that would have been legally binding somehow as soon as Mean Gene said "There you have it.  The Macho Man has spoken!"

"NO MORE FIRINGS," as he walks off camera.
