I played Mario 64 last month for a while and it still holds up. The control scheme needed a bit of work but the game itself remains radical.

That took a few years off my life expectancy, man. If Sturridge started that game, it would've been a comfortable 6-2 win - Balotelli cannot buy a goal and he's pushing too hard when he's in the box for it. I guess it'd be 6-5 for whom I don't know if Vargas and Sturridge started. Vargas is the shit and the fact he's coming off the bench late for Bobby "row Z" Zamora says all you need to know about 'arry.

The older and run down Austin having to sell his soul to regain the title is a classic story and pretty much the only way you could turn Austin at that point. It's what happened afterwards that didn't click, and as you said, the #1 babyface that Austin just royally screwed over leaving was the biggest blow.

As Johnny said, he was a guy working for both New Japan and WCW. Sullivan had written a bunch of tapings to put him over a number of guys, including taking out a handful of dudes in one match before getting to name opponents on Nitro. I always wondered why Scott Norton didn't get more over as a US Title level kind of guy in WCW but I can see why now if that story is true.

Going back to the Kevin Sullivan episode on the MLW podcast, was the unnamed character Sullivan talked about, the one who bailed on a huge opportunity due to having his driveway blacktop redone, Scott Norton? A big, limited guy making money in Japan - sounds like Flash. If so, man, whut da hale was he thinking?
