Brian Cage is the epitome of the move spamming/getting your shit it (and I don't completely dislike him, I just wish he'd work differently) style of modern wrestling.
Going back to the physique talk, Jericho's giant gut kinda works for him as part of his character as he's this past his, prime, delusional, rock star. Maybe the inner circle can find him dead on a toliet seat.
I can see Darby being hugely over with the female audience once crowds return. Similar to how Jeff was over with girls. I could also see Sammy getting turned face by women.

I wonder if this leads to Rich Swann feeling underappreciated. Then we could have a feud where he gets the rub from Kenny instead of Kenny the belt collector. Champ vs Champ, swan starts getting the better of him and Callis interferes

Man, this was the first time I watched Impact in forever and it's sooooooooooo low rent. The ending was good, but ultimately this feels like fucking nothing considering Impact is barely relevant.
And actually it feels like a step up from when they where on Pursuit or Pop

I don't know if this goes anywhere (Seemingly teasing a Kenny-Rich Swann match) but I loved Don referring to Kenny as The REAL worlds champion

That Callis promo was money, rest of the show felt I any other recent time I've watched Impact (womens match was kinda stinky) everything was decent to inoffensive but nothing was really something I would out of my way to see. Also the completely empty arena made the show feel heatless

The Callis-Omega segment is at the very end

The real money match of the NBA on TNT / AEW crossover is Charles Barkley vs Jericho. Battle of the Round Mounds!

I don't think Chuck Taylor has a bad physique but he looks more like a guy who goes to the gym a couple times a week than an professional athlete. You know how people have said that Jeff Cobb is better under a mask? Chuck might be well served with a singlet or tshirt that at least partially covers his upper body

I'm kinda ok with Charles Wright getting into to the WWE Hall of Fame. kinda like a baseball player who's never an allstar but has a long careerand ends up with very good stats.

Really agree with your take on Inner Circle vs itself.
Cody is turning into 'Dusty books himself to be the center of the universe"

Oh definably think its a slow burn story, but I also think it would be ideal for Hangman's crowning moment to come in from of a packed house. I actually think the lack of a crowd probably will help because you won't a split crowd with some people wanting to cheer kenny.

I kinda think they want Hangman's big win to happen when crowds are back, I just worry It could be a thing like DDP in WCW or Samoa Joe in TNA where they wait too long and miss the moment.
Also I kinda wonder due to the name change and various channel changes do you think that casual fans might not even realize that TNA and Impact are the same company?

Honestly, If AJ goes to WWE in early 2000's without establishing his name in TNA/NJPW he probably gets stuck in OVW or stuck in the cruiserweight division and maybe ends up retired by now.

One of my favorite Battle Royals was the Intercontinental title Battle Royal in fall 93 Where the last two People face off for the Intercontinental title. I havent seen it in years but remember it being good.
There were a couple of Battle Royals on Raw in 2004 that I remember being good. Its was around the time they were booking alot of basic and 6 man tags to help Batista improve in the ring.
The Raw with the HHH/Benoit ironman has the battle royale where Batista goes nuts eliminating a bunch of guys

I don't expect a massive invasion from Impact. More like Kenny hides over there for a bit and maybe brings some goons with him as backup when he comes back. Although a chance to do some talent exchanges for people who need a chance to freshen up is nice

This feels like Pro Wrestling USA in some way. Impact even with Anthem subsidizing is arguably no better than latter day World Class and NWA as late stage AWA,with AEW as the JCP. I don't see what AEW gets out of this since Impact has been such a toxic brand even if there are some people who say its decent right now.
The thing is that Pro Wrestling USA was a last gasp of desperation. I don't feel that AEW is anything but trending up, and I'm well aware of the past history of Impact but the promotion has been off so many peoples radar for so long past toxicity might not matter

Remember when Glacier sold his gear to Kaz Hiashi? I guess Sting got the entrance. Really cool moment is all serious. They did mention a multi year contract so I'm not sure how much long term use they can get out of him. Also after 20 years of ECW nostalgia I'm really loving all these throw backs to WCW.
Inner Circle should have been thrown out from ringside after the interference, also the whole angle is getting tiring. Starting to remind me of 4 live crew vs itself back in the day.
I loved the final angle. AEW working with other promotions kinda reminds me of Harley Race NWA champ vs. Nick Bockwinkle AWA champ. I love acknowledging a world beyond AEW. Kenny holding the belt hostage in Impact and Hangman Page being the one who goes and gets it back could be great pay off to him never winning the big one.

Really hoping when ever this second show gets off the ground (AEW Saturday Night @ 6:05?) they use the time to highlight some of the mid-card and the womens division and not just double up on tv time for guys all ready featured
-
I think its just they are quickly getting to the point of having more people on the roster than TV time to go around (plus Cody kinda turning into "Dusty booking himself as the center of the universe")

I felt the Shaq segment left quite a bit to be desired. Why try to make Brandy a heel again? And if Brandi's the heel why did Jade lay her out with a sneak attack.
Tired if Cody being the center of the universe
Seven is an extremely weird and obscure WCW call back.

Looking forward to Abadon/Shira but whats with the booking again. The face champ cowering in fear feels off.
I wonder if Wardlow, Santana, Ortiz and Sammy end up splitting from Hanger, Jericho and MJF?
On the plus side really enjoyed everything in ring, although I'm firmly in the camp of not every match needing a post math heat segment. plus Kenny/Callis
