I don’t know why some people want Alexa with the belt again? Every time she’s on top she sucks hard. Maybe even harder than Seth Rollins as “The Guy”. That Sasha schadenfreude won’t sustain you as a fan for much longer when you have to take a 4’5” women as a serious offensive juggernaut.

I didn't say I wanted her with the belt. I have serious problems with the way Alexa is presented, starting with why I'm supposed to believe that what may be the smallest closed fist in the entire company is enough to put the company's top women down. She should be throwing forearms and open hands. My entire point, and only point, really, is that I find Sasha Banks overrated in the ring and unprofessional both in her interactions with fellow talent and with sitting out for four months because she didn't get her way. She had a great run in nXt, but so did Tyler Breeze, and no one here is advocating for him as a top guy.

I'm also frustrated with myself. EVERY time this comes up I swear I'm not going to get involved, and then I simply cannot help myself. I think my stance on the matter is clear. I can move on to bigger and better things, like how Seth Rollins is maybe the least charismatic "top guy" company history...

I know it pains you all very deeply...   ?

@just drew  So in your mind Zeke Elliot should continue to bust his ass for peanuts, lead his team in the playoffs and then when his contract is up and he;s broken down Dallas can low ball him?

Stone Cold should have never left and just put Brock over?  I mean you've never had this much vitriol for anyone else.

This is a false equivalency. The average NFL running back career is about three years. Zeke needs to et paid while he can. And Stone Cold should've absolutely put Brock over. Even he admits that now. And you don't know me well enough to know whether or not i've had this vitriol for anyone else. I don't appreciate Sasha's apparent entitlement or the attitude she seems to have about what she deserves. She has not distinguished herself on the main roster and is not worth the trouble IMO. If WWE wants to reward childish, prima donna behavior, that's on them. But I have zero sympathy for anyone who takes their ball and goes home after Dean Ambrose chose to ride out terrible booking and burial attempts his last six months in WWE.

Looking at the KOTR list, almost anything but Elias, Corbin, or Drew would be fairly interesting.

Which means it's probably going to be one of those three.

If they told the story as McIntyre getting his mojo back, I’d at least buy that.

This wouldve also been a chance to build Big E, though.

I don't blame her (Alexa). She's worked her ass off and seen numerous doctors to get cleared and get back in the ring, while Sasha sat home and pouted for four months and went all super emo on social media then and got stuck in a prime spot on her first night back.

I loved Cedric vs. McIntyre.  Fantastic stuff with those two.   How come Cole while interviewing Stone Cold didn't use the time to ask him about next week's King of the Ring?  Austin launched one of the most famous promos of all time at KOTR,  maybe he'd be a guy that could put the tournament over???? No?

No. They needed that time to re-iterate how Seth Rollins was a total badass, since they're incapable of telling that story believably any other way.

  6. Not a bad show. I found it humorous how the crowd almost completely turned pro-Styles by end of the segment.

I legitimately forgot Bobby Roode worked there.

McIntyre/Alexander was a BANGER. That Claymore looked like it legit put Ced's lights out.

Joe is awesome. Love that dude.

I found the crowd's response to Becky interesting.

I guess WWE is going to reward childish and petty behavior by putting Sasha in a good spot upon her return. To her credit, she got a massive response. Let's see if she can go a month without booboo face or hurting someone.

I'll give Seth some credit; his promo right before his match came somewhere in the ballpark of credible. He still doesn't sound like someone I'd be scared to fight, but he at least appeared confident. WWE is wasting their time trying to make him the guy, but he at least acted the part tonight.

BlissCross might be my favorite act on tv right now. This is the best use for Alexa in her current incarnation. Put her in tags where the risk of concussions is less. Kabuki Warriors brought the goods, too. Liked the finish.

Final segment was okay. Braun is miles ahead of Seth in terms of charisma. Then again, 9/10'ths of the roster is.

    Pretty good show overall.

  7. So, this is my first time paying attention to the G1. Is it going to be seen as a shortcoming that Jon Moxley didn’t win the G1? How is that perceived?

    Announced for RAW

Rey Jr vs. Andrade - 2 out of 3 Falls

    Cedric Alexander vs. Drew McIntyre

Also Steve Austin will be appearing via Skype to "give his reaction to the Rollins/Lesnar match"

Wow. I guess they’re gonna keep rolling legends out to “sign off” on Seth Rollins as champ. It won’t work, because it’s Seth Rollins, but it’s funny to me that they’re gonna keep doing that.

Plus, I didn't get the impression that anyone wants to boo Fiend Wyatt now.  He was getting cheers against Finn Balor, of all people.

After that song/entrance, he'll be the most over babyface in the company inside of a month.

  10. My other problem with Seth is where do they go now? Brock is (presumably) fucking off for a while, Baron Corbin is deader than dead in the water. Is Lashley the next challenger? Heel Strowman? The right answer is probably McIntyre but he's colder than leftover oatmeal right now. Ricochet would be interesting, but there's no way Seth appears sympathetic in that pairing. I won't go so far as to say that Vince and Hunter have definitely done this, but it appears that they have gone out of their way to make Seth the only over character on Raw, and now that he's "slayed the beast" there's nowhere for him to go. Fiend Wyatt isn't ready. He should pummel guys who beat Bray for months. Get all his wins back. The Fiend has taken over and now he's much more ruthless. Feeding him to Seth right away does nothing for either guy. This is one of my biggest problems with Seth. He's completely unsympathetic as a babyface, and they appear to have put him in that Cena/Reigns "never gonna turn" zone.

Anti-Rollins Fanclub will twist the facts and move the goal posts to avoid acknowledging this. Guaranteed.

He was over tonight. But this is the third time they’re trying to make him “the guy,” and now they’re gonna go heads up w AEW with maybe the worst promo on the roster as champ. That’ll go well.

Also, Rollins fans have a lot of nerve calling anyone “fanboys.”

I'll explain my position real quick.  My issue with the women's tag title scene right now is that it's being played for laughs. They already have the 24/7 championship that is a "joke title" and that's fine I think they've done a good job with that.

In my view the women's titles,  whoever is holding them,  there should be more emphasis put on having good matches.  We didn't get that with The IIconics title reign and we aren't going to get that with Alexa Bliss and Nikki Cross as wacky best friends with a sprinkle of "Alexa is USING her.."  It's not compelling.

The best match to date is still the Elimination Chamber match where it came down to Mandy Rose and Sonya Deville against Sasha Banks and Bayley.  They could have easily had some competitive matches that involved those teams along with the Kabuki Warriors and I believe they could have had something there...

Who gives a flying boysenberry fuck about "Good matches?" The WWE has been having "good matches" for the last decade pretty well nonstop, and business is way down. Alexa and Nikki are an interesting pairing and Bayley is far better suited as the workhorse on Smackdown. Sorry Sasha doesn't care enough about you or the rest of her fans to come back to work, but BlissCross has the potential to be FAR more entertaining than Sasha's ever been in her life...

Waded through the AEW thread this morning and without naming names, there's a very obviously "not from around here" type and it got me thinking about when new folks join up. Do they spend time lurking, read people's posts, get a feel for the room? Or do they just jump on in head-first thinking this is just another wrestling message board? If it's the latter, it is EXTREMELY fucking obvious.

I like it. This place totally feels like Cheers, even if I'm just a perpetual extra in the background and not Norm or Cliff.

I lurked for almost seven years, fwiw.
