Oh, also been reported that there may be an announcement this summer about EXPANSION~

The new franchises would supposedly go to Las Vegas and Seattle.     (This would also probably cause realignment, sending Memphis and/or NO to the East)

Interesting. It is Minnesota and Memphis that should go East in my opinion.

Pacers and Sixers are both reportedly interested in him.

I can't quite picture what Philly running D'Antoni's offense would look like

It would be entertaining to watch at least. This year was as painful to watch as the year Okafor was being featured.

The situation with this team is such a mess. The owner Josh Harris had quietly become the NBA's Jerry Jones. The coaching hire right now is a battle between Brand and the front office wanting Lue and Harris wanting D'Antoni.

Wouldn't getting out from Horford's deal be a positive?

Yeah and I think most realistic deals involving Horford would require payment from the Sixers for that reason. The Sixers having interest in Paul and only having negative value contracts to send out in return is a nice bargaining chip for Presti. The money for next year alone:

Harris 33 million, Simmons and Embiid 29 million each and Horford 27.

You pretty much have to do Harris or Horford and I would bet most people would have them as 2 of the 10 worst contracts in the league.

He's owed over $41 million next year and even more the year following. That's a lot of money for a 35 year old, who is still great admittedly.

It is a lot of money but if they do deal with Sixers it means taking on a contract that would require compensation from the Sixers. Since Horford has 1 extra year than Paul. Only half of that final year is guaranteed.

Knowing the players Presti likes he'll probably want Thybulle. Sixers did jump them in the draft to grab him. I assume the Sixers will want to move Horford and Josh Richardson for him for financial reasons. Which could bring a 3rd team into play. Richardson only has 1 year left.

I doubt the Sixers will be willing to move Thybulle. Since he makes the most sense as Richardson's replacement. Will probably offer OKC Horford, Richardson, and OKCs 2020 first. Maybe another future protected first. Does sound like a lot to give up for a 35 year old Paul. If a 3rd team is interested in Richardson though that could potentially decrease. Maybe the 2nd future protected first wouldn't be necessary.

I would hope the Sixers at least inquire about a deal based around Josh Richardson and Spencer Dinwiddie.

With Donovan being let go, and the unmistakable feeling that OKC kinda didn't want to be as good as they were this here, you have to figure Paul is going to be moved again if anyone can make the money work (and now it's only two years instead of three) and, man, he's headed into Shaq level for all-time great that played on an absurd number of teams.

Except Shaq was really only good on the first three, this is already four for CP3, and he was at "not insane to appear on a few MVP ballots" level.

Yeah OKC could do relatively well in a deal. Milwaukee and Philly could start bidding against each other. I still can't believe their 1st round pick is coming here this year. Which was top 20 protected.

I'd guess Philly would ask for both Porter and Murray, and Denver would try to talk them down to one of them plus picks, etc.

Asking for Porter and Murray for Josh Smith 2.0 would get Brand's number blocked.

Brodie taking an L and dropping the D.O thereafter would be sweet. Masked goofs the only mark on the show. Lot of fun otherwise.

They'll turn on him eventually and run him out and he'll return with a hobo army.

    Hide away from the bad

    To forget what is done
Seems so hard to carry on

That was great. It made me think of something funny I heard years ago with Bill Shatner recording a commercial. With the director trying to tell him how to read the lines.

Also - apparently all that talk that the 17th game will be neutral site?

Yeah - it appears that was bullshit and basically half the league will have a extra home game. And then the other half will get an extra home game.

And the extra game will be intra-conference based on finish in your division and go on a rotation.

So like the last place team in the NFC East would play last place in AFC East and then the next year AFC North... etc... (like how the other games are currently determined)

That is too bad. i was really hoping the league would try and pull something stupid like hosting a Rams vs Cardinals game in St. Louis.

  11. I was expecting this team to be fun to watch. Since they have a good mix of defenders. Wrong, the offense is just too ugly.  Recently they are getting killed by teams playing 2-3 zone like it is a college team. Look at Brett Brown's response to how Ben SImmons can contribute against the zone.

  12. The Warriors have quite a few players getting minutes that would have fit right in with the process era Sixers. Hell they are starting Glenn Robinson III that actually had a short stint as a process era Sixer. Think they might miss Jerry West. Especially considering the quality of role players the Clippers have assembled the last couple seasons.

  13. Good to see that word is spreading fast. I was stoked for this team and it's defensive improvement this season just from adding Horford and Richardson. Thybulle is an added bonus and an added bonus that already has people asking whether or not he is the best defender on the team already. Please no Sixers first round pick injury this year.

After Thursday night I think I understand @JLSigman’s fury towards Delhomme back in the day, because I felt it towards Cam Newton.

Never bet on Thursday games, kids.

Yeah a Thursday division game is a pretty gutsy pick. Especially when Tampa Bay has the better coach.
