  1. Which wrestlers or version of a certain wrestler had the best look? Or how about a time when a wrestler changed up their look or went with a special look for a period of time?

Hogan is known for the red and yellow, but it took a few years to get there. He would mix it up with red, white or blue early during his WWF Title run.

HHH went with longer tights in late 2003 because of a groin injury if I recall.

  2. Tomorrow’s gem will be a full, 48-minute TV episode. To be precise, the 07/14/1984 episode of World Championship Wrestling is set to land on the WWE Network tomorrow! Yes indeed, this is the show that is infamously known as “Black Saturday”,

  3. Today is the 20th anniversary of Goldberg and Hogan given away on Nitro after being announced on Thunder with three days build. The last great moment of WCW. How would you have better utilized the match and moment to make it bigger and more profitable than a one off on TV instead of a huge PPV?

The Great American Bash was the previous month with Hogan and Bret vs. Piper and Savage.
Goldberg defended the US Title vs. Konnan in a two minute match.

The July PPV was Bash at the Beach. Just six days after the Nitro in the Georgia Dome. The famous Hogan/Rodman vs. DDP/Malone match.
Goldberg defended the World Title vs. Curt Hennig in a four minute match.

August was Road Wild, with Hogan/Bischoff vs. DDP/Leno
Goldberg won a thrown together battle royal.

Seems to me the better idea would have been to build up the Hogan and Goldberg match during this time while Hogan was doing is celebrity tags. It's obvious they had no plans for Goldberg his first couple months as champion.

Goldberg wasn't even on Fall Brawl in September. Hogan would transition to the Warrior feud in Sept. and Oct. for Halloween Havoc before taking the rest of the year off.

Could you have built all summer and fall long and have Hogan vs. Goldberg main event Starrcade that year instead of Nash and Goldberg?
Goldberg also wasn't on the Nov. PPV, World War III. Seems like it would have been an easy call to have him win the 60 man Battle Royal and take down Hogan at Starrcade 98.
4 months between the Georgia Dome show and the Nov. PPV. I think the build in that time would have worked.

I remember Hulk, Randy and Beefcake had a workout vignette on a random Coliseum Video at that time...

Savage was the special ref for some Hogan and Slaughter matches during the summer of 1991.

Also on March 29, 1992, Savage and Hogan faced Flair and Sid in Auburn Hills.  It was Piper and Hogan teaming together, but Piper didn't appear there that night.

Charlotte ending the streak just doesn't accomplish much to me and now you have Asuka, having won the Royal Rumble not even win a title that's been traded several times throughout the last couple years.  I'm thinking Vince found out he had to write a $100K check to Rescue Dogs and this was the punishment.

Am I the only one expecting Charlotte and Ronda to main event next year?

  6. According to The Wrestling Observer Newsletter, there are reports that there are possible plans for a Superstar shakeup coming again after Summerslam. This is not confirmed, but sources have told the WON that roster moves are coming in the fall. The Superstar shakeup did great ratings both nights, but there was a noticeable drop in the numbers afterwards. Many feel that the shakeup led to less interesting rosters, with many unexplained moves like Cena being billed as a free agent, Lesnar being scheduled for Smackdown live events and Jordan being moved from Smackdown to Raw with no explanation as to how the move was made.

One thing being discusses is sending a few names to NXT in the superstar shakeup. These people would be, “people who were major stars in NXT that Vince McMahon simply isn’t going to push even if they are over, or people who are doing nothing on the main roster with the idea they could be more useful as major players on NXT.”

Did anyone turn effectively as often as Randy Savage did? It's pretty amazing that he flip flopped so many times in a relatively short period of time and it always worked. Perhaps it spoke to the insane aspect of his personality where you bought it that he'd gone off the deep end again.

    ????

Started as a heel in 1985. Turned in early 1987. Turned heel in early 1989. Turned face in early 1991 and stayed face until late 96/early 97. Three turns in 12 years doesn't seem often to me.
