I know no one watches or cares about the pro bowl but Mac Jones being in it is such a farce. Its because of injuries of course, but still, just let the punter throw some passes or something instead of letting him in it.
I thought he was absolutely adorable living his best life out there. He did also win the "threading the needle" skills event, showing that he truly belonged
Did Brady retire just to get out of the Pro Bowl?

Imagine Matt Stafford's pudgy little face lifting the trophy. Beautiful isn't it.
Imagine Matt Stafford's pudgy little face all sad at having missed out. Heart-breaking.
Having said that, I wouldn't be mad if Joe Burrow and the Bengals win as he seems like a lovely young chap.
I just hope they all have a lovely time, but one obviously won't. Don't give me the sad puppy dog eyes Matt Stafford, I can't help you win it.

Bengals in the Super Bowl? I guess anything is possible.

Given the way that the official NFL social media pages have absolutely flooded out Tom Brady retirement material it's going to be hilarious if he doesn't retire.

I'm guessing the upcoming bin fire of Tampa Bay not being able to re-sign everyone was not appealing enough to have one more go round as he can clearly still play.
I will always love him.

Quite hard to win a game when your defence can't force a single negative play or make a single stop. Just an absolutely embarrassing game for the Patriots when the lone highlight was a blocked extra point. The Bills, and Josh Allen in particular, looked excellent.

Probably not news to anyone, but the Jaguars are horribly bad. New England already have 50 on the board with 7+ minutes left in the fourth and Hoyer in.

I'm sure all of the announcers are brainstorming signature calls for when he eventually blows an important kick.

Is it possible to reverse the Stephon Gilmore trade to the Panthers?

I cannot let it pass without mentioning that Lovie Smith's beard is absolutely majestic.

Are there strong crosswinds inside NRG? Both teams have missed XPs and a kickoff went out of bounds.
Missed XP count now at 3.

Where is this game in Europe being played? I am not used to seeing an NFL game in Europe with such things a clean turf and the sun.
Sun is variable this time of year in England, but the new Tottenham Hotspur stadium was built explicitly with facilities to host NFL games. E.g. the changing rooms are much larger than a normal soccer stadium and it has two pitches with one for Spurs to play on and a synthetic one that can be slid in for NFL games (and concerts, boxing matches etc). Son and the boys don't get their playing surface cut up by linemen and the NFL teams have a bililard table surface to play on which keeps everyone happy.

Sam Darnold currently leads the league in rushing touchdowns.
No "Dick Pick" as it was ruled a fumble

The European League of Football Championship Game ended up being a rerun of the last ever World Bowl with Frankfurt Galaxy taking on the Hamburg Sea Devils.
The Rhein Fire are back next season. My dream of the London Monarchs returning remains a dream for now.

Zach Wilson INT counter now at 4.
Damien Harris capped that off with a hell of a TD run. (7 missed tackles)

This Vikings/Bengals game deserves to end in a tie
Going .500 in a season with an odd number of games would be a very Bengals thing.

I'm with Brady on the numbers. My old man brain just can't cope and I don't know who anyone is or where they should be.

I bought the PPV stream of the kickoff game and I thought that it was good fun (there was also an English commentary option, which was a bonus). Game highlights go up on their YouTube channel.

Didn't they use to have teams in San Antonio and Sacramento? Or was a different version of the league
Yes, in the original World League format before it was totally based in Europe. The Surge name is now being used by Stuttgart. Apart from having sold or negotiated the use of the old names there doesn't seem to be any overt NFL involvement in this league.
Edit: Found a link, yes it's just a naming use agreement.
QuoteDavid Knower, chairman of the advisory board of the European League of Football, initiated and negotiated the agreement with the NFL. “We are delighted about the agreement to be able to use the naming rights of the former NFL Europe teams,” says Knower, who worked with the NFL Europe Advisory Board.
Beyond that, there are no further connections between the European League of Football and the NFL as things stand.

The European League is set to kick off this week.
https://europeanleague.football/schedule
Classic WLAF/NFL Europe/NFL Europa names have been resurrected including the Frankfurt Galaxy and Barcelona Dragons. (The Hamburg Sea Devils, Berlin Thunder and Cologne Centurions are also back but they're not exactly classic names). No London Monarchs or Amsterdam Admirals yet, but I live in hope.

I feel Mac Jones is a riskier pick for BB's legacy than for Jones himself. If he doesn't pan out the "this is who you draft to replace Brady?!?!?" narrative will be huge.
Also, all of these defensive backs entering the league as the sons of players who I'm sure only finished playing yesterday makes me feel incredibly old.

Jim Tomsula is going to be the head coach of the Rhein Fire (again) having coached the NFL Europe version previously.
