Okay I assume that when he mentioned in his hip surgery that he heard his own entrance music while the drugs kicked in was just him joking. I mean those drugs are good but not that scary
They were playing it in the room while they were giving him anesthesia. I know some operation teams sometimes play music in the background during surgeries

I remember when Alex Smith got traded to the Chiefs, it felt good that they wanted our old QBs again. I think it’s 4 or 5 total

Hobbs and Shaw discussion here?

The Starks really had the advantage in that High Lord meeting. Their uncle and first cousin all had a seat. Not to mention Gendry, Sam, Ser Daavos, and Brienne

One thing I caught on the second viewing was when Nat and Clint left for Vormir, Nebula said to Rhodey that everything would work as long as they don't fall out. I completely missed that the first time.

I don't really care for the racial direction just because it discounts some important moments in history, while at the same time not acknowledging the current state of the titles.
Mark Henry and Booker T were world champions. But I guess those don't count because it wasn't the WWE title. So from this perspective we're acknowledging the truth that the world heavyweight title was lesser than the RAW title. Which is fine, I guess, but sucks for those guys who felt like they did something special.
To be fair, if you include WCW and both versions of ECW, along with WWF/E the only Black world champions have been Ron SImmons, The Rock, Booker T, Mark Henry, Bobby Lashley, and Ezekiel Jackson. And including Jackson is generous since the ECW Title was discontinued the same night he won it. That's only 6 world champions in nearly 110 years total of product and only Ron Simmons and the Rock had what was considered that "A" belt

I don’t remember if it was this thread or not, but the other day, someone was asking about wrestlers paying taxes. Cornette talked about that this week on his mailbag show. Short answer is yes, guys pay in each state they work.
I remember when Andrew McCutchen's paystub got leaked a few years ago, one of the things that stuck out was the number of taxes he had to pay. They charge a "Jock Tax" in Pennsylvania for pro athletes and different amounts had been taken out in each state that the Pirates played in during that pay period. I know the pro sports league automatically take the taxes out of players' checks, but If I'm not mistaken, since wrestlers are independent contractors, their checks are always in full, and they are responsible for their own taxes.

Thought that Flair/Hardy vs Asuka/Miz match was one of the best of the season so far, it helped having less of the super-goofiness the SDL matches have had in recent weeks. (As a general trend, its interesting how most weeks the Raw matches are played relatively straight and the SDL ones have all the zaniness.)
I figure SmackDown! tends to have more silliness, because they do the show right after SmackDown! and people on the SmackDown! side probably had a match already that night

So, Charlotte loses definitively to The Man, and then loses her match at Survivor Series, but still gets handed another women's title match? Never stop booing this woman.
Reminds of when Batista kept getting title shots vs. Edge back in 2007. And I'm pretty sure Edge won clean a couple of those times, as well.

The crazy thing about Adam Vinatieri is that I think of him as a Patriot, but he's been a Colt longer than a Patriot

I just wanna know what did FOX and ESPN have to sell to get the night games so far this year. All of the Monday and Thursday games have been amazing

They made Alicia look like a million bucks in the match promo. I know SmackDown! was in Jacksonville a few times, but never Raw. I think it's dope she got to main event Raw in her hometown after being with the company for over a decade. I would never have guessed Victoria Crawford would have lasted this long when she was signed, let along become a gatekeeper role for the division. Same goes for Layla. No way they knew what they were in for when they signed.
I wonder if her being in that spot was more about her than Ronda?
