Speaking of THOUGHTS, I was thinking about this earlier today and was curious about Rey's place in wrestling history. Where does he stack up against the best of all time? His promo work is really weak, but does he have enough top end matches against a variety of opponents to deserve mention alongside of people like Flair, Hart, and Jumbo?
I'm leaning towards yes, but will have to go back and watch a lot of his stuff before I could make a good argument either way. Regardless, I'm starting to realize Rey Mysterio is one of my favorite wrestlers.
To me, Rey has really hurt his all-time standing with his last few years. I started to sour on him with his Eddie Guerrero Memorial WHC run, but I really feel like he's hung around too long now.

Since it's a 30 man battle royale, and it's Wrestlemania XXX, could they do a "one competitor from every Wrestlemania?"

Also damn it, Jerry Lawler, The Wyatts aren't "freaks of nature" they're clearly "freaks of culture."
Freaks of nurture.

WWE should get Daft Punk for WrestleMania. They can play out Brock Lesnar. Cover his tattoos in some kind of fluorescent paint and flash a blacklight all around him. Paul Heyman can wear a big hat and tell Arby's if they want it back they have to go through Bork Laser-tron first.
Lesnar seems like the kind of guy who'd embrace that idea.
Are they gonna book an Arby's/Jimmy Johns feud?

They used to air Stampede Wrestling here on a cable channel I only got intermittently, but I vividly remember the blow-off to the Jason/Zodiak feud where it was revealed that Zodiak was actually Barry O.
I had no idea who that was, and I'd never seen Stampede Wrestling before that episode, but it's stayed with me for decades.

If Michaels was fit from 99-02 does HHH get the mega push with Corporate DX behind him? Where does Shawn fit in?
I only ask because it amazes me that we never got HBK v The Rock.
If I recall correctly, the Rock veto'd that idea.

The only thing stocks hinge on is how much more people think they'll be able to sell it for down the road.

Superfly had essentially been teasing a heel turn forever (maybe from 2007-2010) and it never happened and when it did finally happen it was kind of let down. But Superfly working as essentially Mercury of the Metal men/Dr Smith on Lost in Space (the member of team you can't trust not to leave his work or plot against you) was super entertaining. I think there is a D&D term for that.
So it's not just that Superfly turned heel on someone again. It's Superfly essentially warned a guy for three plus years that he was going to turn heel, was talked out of it a couple times, then finally did it, and was still let back in. Even Sting wouldn't fall for that.
But Dustin would've.

Pretty good show, the crowd wasn't nearly as much of a factor as hyped which was probably for the best.
Live reports are strongly suggesting they basically had the crowd turned all the way down most of the show -- one report said they literally couldn't hear a word HHH or Stephanie said during their promo.

What, do you want the Director of Operations to wear a tutu?BUT WHY IS KANE IN A SUIT? WHY ISN'T HE "GLEN??" Doesn't anyone notice this?? I feel like I'm taking crazy pills.
I want character consistency. Director of Operators KANE is just too weird. Is X-Pac his Chief of Staff?
To be fair, he did justify it pretty well, in essence saying "I like to torment people. Now I get to torment people as their boss."

If Bryan wins, I might buy the replay.
But after 6+ months, I'm not confident enough in their long game to give them money upfront.

Does the Killswitch just bother the hell out of anyone else as a finisher?
Nope, it bugs me too. So many guys have gone through multiple finishers over the years, and yet Christian has held onto one of the worst.

I haven't seen Wagner wrestle at all this year, and I voted for him without a second's thought because I'd rather not watch wrestling than watch a Del Rio match these days.

My wrestling-related dreams usually involve me calling out part-time superstars in the middle of the ring.
I wish I was joking.

Was A-1 from Team Canada any good? I don't recall ever seeing him actually wrestle.
Test was mediocre, but not outright bad.

Is he trying to stare down Tony Todd?

Impact gets around a 0.4 18-49 Live +SD rating on it's good days, so the difference isn't too big.
And in fact in the UK they apparently got their highest rating to date. Clearly they just need to move overseas.

So I was wondering what happened to Mistico now that he's gone. And I guess he's in AAA as Sin Cara?
How is that okay that he uses the gimmick in Mexico?
He says he owns the rights to the name down there.

Monty Brown. Facing Jarrett for the title and everyone in the Impact Zone and everyone who actually paid money for the show want him to win so bad so of course Jarrett wins with a guitar shot and they run Jarrett/Nash on the next PPV.
That sounds so familiar...

Gotta hate those invading forces that pay you for advertising time. How fiendish.

It's hard to judge, because nowadays nobody really tries to build a movie around a pro wrestler except WWE Studios. How do you judge if someone's acting career bombed if all they do is straight-to-DVD c-list material and generic muscle-man bit parts like Kurt Angle?
Outside of Ready to Rumble and The Real Reason Men Commit Crimes, has Sting done any film work? Does that count as a bomb?
If Guardians of the Galaxy doesn't live up to box office hype, has Batista's career bombed? The Man With the Iron Fists didn't exactly set the world on fire.
Randy Orton got dropped from a freakin' WWE film -- that's at least worthy of a semi-bomb.
Triple H was in Blade 3 but all he's gotten since then is WWE Studios work, IIRC.
Christian's in Shoot'em Up and Edge is in a Highlander film, but I don't think either of them has a speaking part - but Christian has some straight-to-DVD work and Edge is a recurring character on Haven and had a couple of spots on Sanctuary.

It saddens me that people wouldn't consider Mr. Show a success.
Shit, I didn't even know Odenkirk was in Breaking Bad, Mr. Show's the only thing I know him from.

Welcome back.
RIP to Undertaker's toughest opponent of 2013...his coat sleeves.
His hood put up a pretty good fight.

Personally, I'm boggled by the idea of Kenny King as a star. I don't even remember what he looks like.
