Elgin just cannot hide what's inside. When he was over at that G1 you could see how much he was loving it, he cannot be indifferent. Now he just looks like a sad schoolboy caught sending dick pics.

I know NYD is a fun show but generally I am being reminded here that there are too few guys in New Japan who are credible-ish of-age solid wrestler types who don't do ostentatious cartwheels off every bump and make things feel real, what I am trying to say is RIP Katsuyori Shibata

I think Okada going over reminded me, to a certain extent, of Kobashi getting the win over Akiyama in 2004. In retrospect Kobashi's reign extending to 2 years makes that reign look amazing, but it was probably the wrong choice and it turns out you can't always recapture that energy and feeling, sometimes it dissipates. I don't think NJPW will be performing in front of half-full Ariakes in 10 years though.
