More NBA news....Happy 4th of July!!! BIYOMBO!!!! Lin is pretty good at times on offense. Sucks on defense and he's turnover prone late in-games. He'd be an ok pick-up for the Mavs. I liked him on a 2-PG lineup and I think Byron played him in that role a few times with Clarkson. He's a ex-Laker though, RandomAct might have to start praying the Laker-to-Mavs curse doesn't continue. KOUFOS!!!! I dunno, I think the Lakers might be better off taking back someone like Hibbert on a 1-year deal in a salary dump if there's any asset thrown in. The way things have gone for the Lakers, I'd expect Koufos signing elsewhere by the time I'm done posting this.

Hmm.... Guessing Spurs salary-dumping someone if they add both Aldridge & West.

I figured that was were he was going as soon as someone mentioned he sold his home in Portland several weeks ago. Guessing David West ends up w/ Wizards. Unless there's still some contender with money available.

I think they'd have to deal Markieff and another player to sign LMA along with Tyson Chandler.

I think he's a restricted FA. I'm guessing Kanter, Shumpert & Tobias Harris might get offers at the July 9 date. I don't think other teams can throw an offer sheet until that day when FAs can sign. They could talk to them, but not have them sign. That's also assuming teams have cap room since every team, but the Lakers & Sixers seems to have reached agreements with players early on. Shumpert agreed to 4/40 with the Cavs. DAMMIT!!!! Crosses him off list. I think I forgot when everyone was signing...

LOL! I feel the same way, but I'm amused when fans complain about their team not signing anyone. Lopez got 4-years/$52 million w/ Knicks. Teams with cap room can probably get Hibbert or Nene for 1 season and get a draft pick thrown in OR even wait during the season and some team out of the playoffs will want to clear their cap to get below the tax line.

LaMarcus Aldridge update! At this point, now I'm OK with him taking this long because right now the big FA names are guys like Rondo and a few others I wouldn't want, so LMA taking his time is actually a benefit.

I'm no foot doctor, but that Wes Matthews deal is a big gamble for the Mavs (Achilles injury took some more than a season to comeback from and they weren't the same after), but in some breaking news, Deandre Jordan just followed Wes on twitter, so maybe signing him worked if the gamble was worth getting DAJ. I've had to unfollow a bunch of NBA people on twitter. I don't think I need to see 100s of retweets of what Woj or Stein report.

I prefer the way you posted this news to how its being reported as a "maybe" depending on what DAJ does. I don't think you can restructure contracts in the NBA. At least never seen that with someone who has an actual contract w/ the current CBA. Usually its someone becoming a FA and signing for less.

I'm actually confused with Aldridge taking a second meeting with the Lakers. Maybe because I see what the Suns & Spurs have done and then what all these FAs are signing for, I just assumed he wasn't interested at all. At least that's how the media made it sound. Not that I think he's signing here. If he did great, but they'd have to add A LOT more to the team.

LaMarcus Aldridge updates! Not sure what Miami would offer, but you never know with Riley. Kinda think some of these teams are just planting seeds should Aldridge sign a shorter deal.

Lakers summer league roster is pretty good....Throw-in Kobe for 30 games and it might end up being their 21-win regular season roster.
