  1. my standard answer for worst Finisher is the Elix Skipper Overdrive.

. The Tongan Death grip was the best because everyone in wcw would sell it so well. it made you think Meng could beat anyone, and it was a move that everyone from Juvi to Hogan could take well if needed. My favorite finish tho would be the Macho Man elbow drop. It looked hurty but was beautiful.

  2. I usually watch SmackDown every week, but to be honest it feels like I am watching Raw-lite. SmackDown has a great timeslot on a great network. In my opinion badly needs a few new ideas to make the show have it's own identity and not be a caffeine free version of monday night.

#1. Show classic clipped matches of SD's finest moments. They used to do this. It would be great to see a clipped 5 minutes of Kurt Angle or Edge or Eddie Geurrero. It would be a  chance to advertise the network and educate new fans on SD's awesome past.

#2 have an NXT showcase match open every SD broadcast. I don't expect Nakamura or Balor debuts, but it would be great to showcase Blake and Murphy vs the Revival or Baron Corbin vs Apollo Crews as a one off match that is essentially a sneak peak at what is to come later in WWE world. Heath Slater and his Outcasts would also make perfect opponents to many NXT acts. The NXT competitors could get a nice victory and a chance to gain some exposure and gauge viewer interest without having a full debut. The storyline could be that Heath hates NXT and wants his crew to do battle with new opponents each week. This would give WWE fans without the network a chance to see new stars. It wouls also make SD a more must-watch show.

#3 Bring back squash matches, but only for the Ascension. Bring in the Colin Delaney's of the indy scene for a quick squash with Konor and Victor. Do this for two months, every week crushing smaller wrestlers until Konor and Victor are seen as more credible and then give them a PPV against the Uso's. WWE doesn't really need too many squashes but the Ascension sure need them.

#4 make the US title a SD only belt that is defended every week. Whoever is US champ should be exclusive to SD and PPV. If you can't see one act on RAW it makes that act special. Samoa Joe debuting this way would work really well.

Please add your own opinions on more ways to make SD better. Right now it's not even a B show but with a little care it could be another A show.

  3. my Mania predictions:

    HHH/Reigns- Reigns wins

Ambrose/Brock- Dean's year is next year, Lesnar wins

Undertaker/Shane- I have no idea what happens here? Undertaker wins I guess after Shawn Michaels interference

Stardust/Miz/Steen/Zayne/Neville/???-  Sami gets the belt here

AJ Styles/Jericho- AJ gets a big babyface win

Ryback/ Kalisto- match not officially announced. If it happens Ryback wins when Sin Cara turns on Kalisto

Boss/Becky/Charlotte- Sasha gets the belt after she turns on Becky

League/ New Day- New day had a real good year, they are my pick

Battle Royal: Luke Harper turns on Bray and wins. 4 members is one too many for the Wyatts.

Please post your own predictions If you feel like it.

  4. I remember seeing the FMW tapes that had all kinds of hardcore stuff going on, but what always stood out was Hayabusa.

this times a million! Hayabusa tapes were my first exposure to wrestling that was not WWE, WCW or  ECW. The Gladiator feud was epic.

  5. Not sure where to put this, but heroclix is a game so...

My sister is a heroclix fan. I bought this lot on ebay for her. I know nothing of what they cost or how to assure you get good ones from mystery packed bags and boxes. The lot is ten bagged Spiderman, ten bagged Teen Titans and one bagged Iron man for $25. I know she loves Teen Titans and likes Spiderman, but she has most of the Iron Man heroclix already. Since they are mystery bagged, does the seller have any way of knowing if they are mostly undesirable game pieces? or is it luck of the draw? Did I get a good deal price wise? Shipping was free. hit me with some heroclix knowledge if you are a collector. Thanks.

  6. I suspect Roman gets eliminated before entrant 10 and the rest of the rumble will be very fun. It is a scenario where we know there will be a new champ but we don't know who, and all that suspense comes to a climax when Owens eliminates Lesnar to win. Owens will lose his LMS match to Dean and then come back as a late entrant in the rumble.

Also, Henry and Swagger win the pre-show. Becky wins the belt from Charlotte. New Day retains. Kaliso defeats ADR and then gets beat down by Rusev post-match.

  7. The awards result I don't like is worst gimmick. Stardust is an awesome gimmick. Some fans just want WWE to be more like ROH, and if/when that happens I will be left without a promotion to watch. Stardust is an example of what I like about wrestling. He portrays a fun character that can be taken in many different story directions. How is that a worse gimmick than every wrestler with a Eddie Edwards style 'generic super athlete man' gimmick?

I listen to Meltzer and Alvarez but most of the time I find myself in SMH mode. I am honestly questioning if they are aware that the widespread appeal WWE has is due to them not being super hardcore indy style.

If Alvarez reviewed a Mario Kart game he'd rant for an hour on why it isn't more like Grand Theft Auto.
