  1. Oh and in that last video the Vladimir Koloff isn't the one from years ago that SUCKED. This one is one of a long line of Alabama based people with names of older wrestlers. Like Alabama Doink or his son  Alabama Patriot. Alabam Ultimo/Ultimate Dragon,Alabama VLad Koloff and Alabama Brymstone,no custom boots.

AWA Heritage Champion Nightmare Jeremiah vs Tony Telesca

MAIN EVENT of The Gulf Coast Wrestling event on 4/20/24

Bit of backstory. Last year around end of summer Tony was suppose to enter a 3 month program with Nightmare with the then AWA ALabama title on the line,it became the AWA PRO Heritage title last month. This program didn't happen for various reasons.

So to make sure it happened it got booked as a main event and these two went all out.

  3. It's the third weekend of the month so time for another trip to Bay St Louis Mississippi. Where not more than a couple of miles from where Heroes of Wrestling happened is The Gulf Coast Wrestling Clubhouse, and old country and western bar that is now a wrestling venue. Where monthly shows are held

Crimson Tiger with Big Ramp vs Ashton Blake with Jessica Flowers

Ashton and Jessica been these fun mid card heels in TGCW for a year now. With Crimson Tiger and Big Ramp being newer faces in the fed.

Now since my back was acting up I sat in a chair, put the camera on the railing and live streamed the match. Which gave me more of a chance to throw out inside jokes to make Ramp laugh.

I have no idea. I'm doing the right thing and watching Trash Humpers (which I've somehow neglected to see) on Youtube for free with Spanish subs, which is today's version of finding an unmarked VHS on top of a Dumpster.

I ended up with the DVD of Trash Humpers for free.

Was at a used media store with a buddy. His girlfriend and him claimed to love "oddball cinema". So saw the store had a used copy for like 10 bucks. "Hey you need to see this since you and Tabby love odd movies"

3 days later he calls me telling me theyy made it 10 minutes into the movie and "you can have it for free"

Right now trying to track down a cheap copy of Detroit Rock City on Blu Ray.

I just heard Tenay explain that Psicosis means "Psycho" in Spanish on a random SN episode. Bless that guy.

I do think his Lucha Libre and the Mexican Luchadores series that ran on Nitro in 1997 was probably genuinely important for getting a non-negligible amount of WCW fans to watch more lucha. A kid from Acworth or Biloxi or somewhere saw those segments and is now a huge CMLL fan or something. So that's cool!

I wasn't a kid,but I am from Biloxi. And yes seeing the Luchadors on Nitro then moving to an state where I got Galavision on basic cable made me into a huge CMLL fan for about 10 years.

Based on the past few pages of discussion I'm gonna write something I truly believe that is probably gonna baffle some people here:

I don't think the value of a good wrestling match for the simple sake of having a good match has ever been lower. It is probably the most common thing going in wrestling across the entire industry, you load up an indie show and likely most of the card is aiming for just that, even WWE has more of it than they have at arguably any other time (handwaves at the SD 6 era) and... I just don't care that much any more about them. TBF this is magnified by so many matches, even stylistically different ones, being paced rather similarly. Double it again when so many of these matches have obvious winners. This doesn't mean I'm not intrigued by a randomly thrown together match if there is something inherently intriguing about it or of the quality is simply outstanding, but to grab a random name that was mentioned a page back I'll for example start caring about Bryan Keith when I'm given a reason beyond "he wrestles a good match before losing" (for those who just wanted to see Malakai finally in a singles match again that I fully understand and agree with).

Normally I would agree on the indie card thing. But down this way most of the feds actually got stories behind almost every match. Helps that the major feds in MS run at least 12 times a year and most do 2 shows a month.

Now Louisiana is loaded with feds that have dream match after dream match with little story.

You'd think there'd be more Brass Knuckles titles these days. Is this because they're banned in Illinois and AEW runs Chicago so frequently? "Hotel Room Soap Covered In Tape Title" just doesn't flow as well or give people excuses to wear kneepads over their jeans along with a free t-shirt from a radio station.

    Since MS got mentioned.

Battlezone Championship Wrestling ,used to be the only NWA fed in MS,has a Brass Knuks title. Whoever holds it picks a match specialty and all their maatches while champion are that. Like current Champ is Pit Bull Shane Lambert and he is always doing dog collar matches.

That's like Marty & Shawn explaining to Verne that they wanted to be called the Midnight Rockers, and Verne thinking it was a rocking chair reference.

That reminds me of Chuck Taylor's "whitemeat southern babyface who also happens to be antisemitic" idea.  He's doing a post-match promo like, "I love y'all!  Thank ya for supporting me!  I fight for all y'all and I love y'all except the Jews thank ya'll goodnight!"

All I can think about is the ignorant-ass T shirts in the early 90s when the Malcolm X hats were hot...the shirts with the confederate flag that said "you have your X and I have mine."

"Star (of David) Wars" was right there!

Speaking of the You have your x We got ours shirts, maybe 6 years ago saw a younger guy wearing one locally. Looked and it looked brand new. Haven't seen one in decades so did some shitkicker find a palette of old "New" stock redneck fashion wear? Was it packed along with a pile of Nascar and Gone with the Wind Shirts?
