In some sad news, Mario Mejia Jiménez more famously known as the original Espectrito passed away on 1/23 at the age of 49-years-old due to undisclosed causes. Jiménez  began wrestling in 1984 working as Centellita but it was 5 years later when he became one of the first guys to join the newly created minis division in EMLL was when he became a star. Jiménez was given the Espectrito gimmick being the mini version of Espectro Jr. and he would soon begin a feud with the mini version of Mascara Sagrada in Mascarita Sagrada that would become one of the most important feuds in the history of the minis division. In fact in the tournament to determine the first CMLL Minis champion on March 1st 1992, Mascarita beat Espectrito to win the title but after both men jumped to AAA with their creator Antonio Pena, Espectrito would get his revenge beating Mascarita to become the first ever Mexican National Minis champion on January 8th, 1993 in Queretaro. August 6th, 1994 though was the biggest match of their feud as Mascarita would defeat Espectrito in a Mascara contra Mascara match revealing his true identity but to Espectrito's credit he kept going strong as he won the IWC Minis Title from Mascarita on May 5th, 1995 and in 1996 he became a two-time Mexican National Minis champ beating Super Munequito on July 26th, 1996 before losing the belt though to the new Mascarita Sagrada on September 14th, 1996.

1997 saw big career change for Jiménez as he was working with the WWF as part of the AAA/WWF working relationship and he took on the Mini Vader gimmick where he teamed with his brother working as Mini Mankind for a while until they repackaged all the minis and Jiménez would become El Torito later in the year. Jiménez's biggest match of his career though would take place at the 1998 Royal Rumble in San Jose, California where he teamed with Battalion & Tarantula (his brother) in a losing effort against Max Mini, Mini Nova, & Mosaic. After the WWF deal ended, Jiménez  bounced around working various organizations even losing his Torito mask to Pierrothito in 2001. The Jiménez got back in the news on June 29th, 2009 when Mario's brothers Alejandro & Alberto (who were twins) were murdered by prostitutes in a sad tale and Mario was really never the same after that.

3. Evil & Tetsuya Naito beat Atlantis & Juice Robinson in 7:59 when Naito used the Out of Control on Juice and after the match they ripped off Atlantis' mask then Naito attacked Milano Collection AT who was announcing at ringside.
4. Mexican National Welterweight Title: El Barbaro Cavernario defeated Titan in 10:57 with the Cavernaria to retain his title.
5. CMLL Welterweight Title: Mascara Dorada beat BUSHI in 13:33 with the Dorada Screwdriver to regain the title.
6. Shinsuke Nakamura/Kazuchika Okada/Virus defeated Dragon Lee II/Ryusuke Taguchi/Hiroshi Tanahashi in 15:09 when Virus used the MotoVirus on DL II.
7. Mephisto & Ultimo Guerrero beat Mistico II & Volador Jr. in 18:28 when UG used the Guerrero Special on Mistico.

1. Komatsu & Tanaka Farewell Series - Match 5: Mascara Dorada & Titan beat Yohei Komatsu & Sho Tanaka in 7:38 when Titan used a figure-four leglock on Tanaka.
2. Gedo/Rey Hechicero/YOSHI-HASHI defeated Fuego/Kushida/Juice Robinson when Hechicero used a rolling half crab on Fuego.
3. Arena Coliseo Tag Titles: Guerrero Maya Jr. & The Panther beat Shigeo Okumura & Bobby Z in 10:47 when Maya used the Sacrifico Maya on Z to retain their titles.
4. El Barbaro Cavernario & Shinsuke Nakamura defeated Stuka Jr. & Ryusuke Taguchi in 7:49 when Cavernario used the Cavernaria on Stuka. Nakamura came out with a caveman mask on while Cavernario was wearing a "King of Caveman Style" shirt.
5. Los Ingobernales (BUSHI/Evil/Naito) beat Atlantis/Jushin Thunder Liger/Tiger Mask IV in 6:20 when Naito used a jackknife hold on TM IV.
6. CMLL Lightweight Title: Dragon Lee II defeated Virus in 7:05 with a German Suplex hold to retain his title but Kamaitachi made a shocking appearance after the match where he used a German Suplex of his own then made an impromptu challenge match for the next day.
7. Mephisto/Kazuchika Okada/Ultimo Guerrero beat Mistico II/Hiroshi Tanahashi/Volador Jr. in 18:14 when Mephisto used the Super Devil's Wings on Volador.

1. Komatsu & Tanaka Farewell Series - Match 6: Guerrero Maya Jr. & The Panther beat Yohei Komatsu & Sho Tanaka in 5:10 when Panther used a modified wakigatame on Komatsu. Komatsu & Tanaka thanked the fans afterwards for supporting them and said they would be back soon.
2. Fuego/Kushida/Stuka Jr./Tiger Mask IV defeated Shigeo Okumura/Rey Hechicero/YOSHI-HASHI/Bobby Z in 8:09 when Stuka used the Torpedo Splash on Okumura.
3. Jushin Thunder Liger beat Virus in 7:55 under Maestros rules where they couldn't punch other.
4. Los Ingobernales (BUSHI/Evil/Tetsuya Naito) defeated Atlantis/Mascara Dorada/Ryusuke Taguchi in 7:23 when Bushi used the BUSHI Roll on Dorada.
5. El Barbaro Cavernario/Shinsuke Nakamura/Kazuchika Okada beat Juice Robinson/Hiroshi Tanahashi/Titan in 13:06 when Okada used the Rainmaker on Juice. Hirooki Goto ran out afterwards and attacked Okada before being pulled off.
6. CMLL Lightweight Title: Kamaitachi defeated Dragon Lee II in 18:33 with the Canadian Destroyer to win the title in a fantastic match. Kamaitachi said afterwards that he was going back to Mexico with Okumura, Komatsu, & Tanaka and they would be there for a long while.
7. Mistico II beat Ultimo Guerrero in 17:23 with a Mistica.
8. NWA Historic Welterweight Title: Volador Jr. defeated Mephisto in 21:06 with the Spanish Fly to retain his title.

AAA 1/22 - Gimnasio Olimpico Juan de la Barrera del Distrito Federal (Guerra de Titanes)
1. Nino Hamburguesa/Dinastia/Pimpinela Escarlata beat Gran Apache/Mini Charly Manson/Black Mamba
2. Lumberjacks w/Straps Match: Keira (subbing for Sexy Star who told the fans she was injured while wearing a neckbrace)/Lady Shani/Taya Valkyrie defeated Fabi Apache/Goya Kong/Lady Maravilla
3. Australian Suicide/Jack Evans/Fireball beat Daga/Parka Negra/Super Fly with Fireball hitting a Tornillo off the balcony on Super Fly as the big highlight.

After this match, AAA President Joaquin Roldan came out and announced that the AAA Tag Titles were being vacated due to Angelico's injury and that the next match would be for the titles.

4. Triangular de Parejas por el vacante AAA Tag Titles: Averno & Chessman defeated Aero Star & Fenix and Mascara Ano Dos Mil Jr. & Villano IV with help from Joe Lider but the new champs weren't happy with him getting involved so they attacked him & Konnan until the rest of La Sociedad made the save.
5. Triangular de Tercias por el vacante AAA Trios Titles: Cuervo/Escoria/Zorro beat Electroshock/Garza Jr./La Parka Jr. and Hijo del Fantasma/Hijo del Pirata Morgan/Taurus
6. Winners face off at Rey de Reyes for the AAA Mega Heavyweight Title: Hijo del Texano & El Mesias defeated Dr. Wagner Jr. & Psycho Clown when the latter two fought each other. Mesias was attacked by La Sociedad as well.

1. Escandalo & Sangre Azteca beat Starman & Stigma
2. Misterioso II/Puma King/Sagrado defeated Blue Panther Jr./Delta/Triton
