  1. I think this could be a thing, right? Back in high school (01/02), my friend asked me if I had seen The Terminator & T2 before. I remembered the classic T2 poster of Arnie on a motorcycle, having the action figures and playing the arcade game but I couldn't remember much about the movies themselves. He said they were showing The Terminator and the director's cut of T2 on TV that weekend and I should check it out. Friday night I was in Walmart and saw The Terminator Collection on VHS. For whatever reason, I decided to buy it instead of waiting for it on TV the next day. I ended up watching them on Saturday morning anyway, back to back. The Terminator was great but the minute T2 starts and you see the future war and endos walking around, it's mindblowing. From that point on I became Terminator obsessed. T2 was my first DVD when I didn't even had a PS2 to play it on, I have multiple T2 DVDs as well as on Blu Ray, I've collected Terminator figures, books and shitty video games. The series really took a hit with Terminator 3: Rise of the Machines. I saw it multiple times but with each viewing I started to enjoy it less. The jokes weren't funny, it had annoying inaccuracies (T-101?), basically said T2 didn't matter and it wasn't interesting until the final moments. And it felt like Arnie trying to cash in on the character because he wasn't exactly a box office smash anymore. I was really excited for Terminator: Salvation with Christian Bale being it in. Finally, the story would focus completely on John Connor. And it did! I guess..not really. Some people seem to straight up hate the movie but it was received fairly well by the fanbase when it came out. I enjoyed it. It's not great, the Marcus character doesn't make any sense but the action scenes are fun. And of course there's the Sarah Connor Chronicles TV series which I felt was hit and miss. I think the "Dungeons & Dragons" episode was my favorite. I plan on watching the series again on DVD as well as Terminator Salvation: The Machinima and Hunters & Killers, a motion comic DVD. Terminator: Genesis is filming next month in New Orleans. It stars Arnold as The Terminator, Emilia Clarke as Sarah Connor, Jason Clarke as John Connor, Jai Courtney as Kyle Reese, and possibly J.K. Simmons as a detective. If the rumors are to be believed and this is the Back to the Future: Part II of the series, it could be very interesting. So yeah, let's discuss Terminator. Hasta la vista, baby.
