  1. As a super casual fan these days (I pretty much read about wrestling and watch very little) I was wondering if someone could refer me to the dark corners of the Internet so I could learn more about what's up with Chuck Taylor. He showed up on the TNA taping this week, and won the Evolve tag title with Galloway as a new member of Team TNA. It's clear from his Twitter feed that something went down with Chikara/Quack, as he's no longer a trainer at the Wrestle Factory. From a few vague comments on Twitter during Evolve 64, it sounds like there's a bit of drama there.

  2. 1998 WCW was famous for some really strong openers. A couple of which involved "He Who Must Not Be Named."

Starrcade had the Kidman/Juvi/Rey match that led to Kidman/Eddie. I would count that all as one segment and thus an "opener" to another major card that WCW decided to bogey.

Superbrawl had the back to back Booker vs. Martel and Booker vs. Saturn matches that I absolutely enjoyed.

Great American Bash concluded the Booker/Benoit best of 7.

I think Slamboree had a good Finlay/Benoit match as well.

This is all going off of years old memories.

The Lucha 8 man tag at Souled Out 98 was a personal favorite of mine.

  3. I saw the flair v hawk match at the philly bash.

    Was it good?

It had a great false finish.

Ref bump. Flair throws Hawk over top rope. Hawk makes comeback and pins Flair.

Tommy Young crawls across the ring, slapping the mat as he crawls.

    1-2-3

    Crowd goes crazy.

Tommy young then gets up, explains Flair DQed for throwing Hawk overtop rope.

Exact same finish in the Flair/Animal match in Cincy the next week.
