Looks like Impact will be nothing but random tournament matches for the foreseeable future.
"The World Title Series will feature a format very similar to soccer’s World Cup, with thirty-two members of the IMPACT WRESTLING roster competing for the TNA World Championship. The wrestlers will be divided into eight groups to begin round-robin group play. Winners receive three points, a draw receives one point and a loss earns zero points. The top two point-getters from each group will advance to the field of 16 and a single elimination tournament where the competitor who wins advances and the loser goes home. The ultimate winner of the World Title Series will have survived the most grueling test in the history of wrestling and will be crowned the true and undisputed TNA World Champion. "
And, apparently, one of the tournament groups will feature the knockouts...

Sports Illustrated article about TNA & GFW:
http://www.si.com/extra-mustard/2015/09/15/dixie-carter-jeff-jarrett-tna-gpw-crossover
It says that Jarrett basically traded in his shares in exchange for GFW getting air time on Impact.
Also, Dixie Carter: "We’re contracted to Destination America through the end of the year, and we are in discussions going on for 2016.”
So there's that.
-
Apparently, Panda Energy have bought out Jarrett's shares and he no longer owns a part of TNA. Panda now owns 100% of TNA.

Never knew til now that TNA doesn't recognize the Wolves 1st tag title win at a house show last year so they're calling them 4 time champions instead of 5.
They recognize it. Mathews screwed up and said 4 instead of 5. He's since admitted his mistake on Twitter.

When you finally get your new buddy to do your signature hand sign with you:
Such a cool little moment. I like how they built to it and made it mean something instead of just randomly doing it out of nowhere. And I'm with Matt on this one. Wagner with Los Ingobernables needs to be a thing for a while.
-
I know it was aired live on YouTube, but do they leave it uploaded somewhere?
Yes. The site that streamed the show has put the main event online. Here. No entrances though.
-
Wagner & Sombra vs. Park & Atlantis announced for next Friday!

I don't have much to say other than I LOVED the main event tonight. What a fun match that was. Just lots and lots of fun with plenty of cool little moments along the way.
Semi-main was good too.
-
I am super pumped about Wagner and Park's return. Normally I would only stream the anniversary show, but this one I gotta check out live as well. Hopefully they give the match some time. Looking forward to the Park/Rush parts especially. The rest of the card looks like fun too.
-
Are there any brackets for these tournaments? Or are we going Bound For Glory Series style with this?
I am almost guessing Young/Roode and Aldis/Masters were the semis because those matches seem way too "big" to be anything but
On the GFW website Masters/Magnus was listed as a semi, but Roode/EY was listed as a first round match.
-
Good turn out:
It's not mentioned in the report above but Phil Baroni was in the crowd and Chael Sonnen cut a promo on him.
Also, apparently, Jarrett booked Roode against Eric Young for the next round of the GFW title tournament.
-

Where's the Dalton Castle screen from?
It's from the commercial for the new TNA One Night Only PPV that premiered yesterday. X Division Xtravaganza.

So, according to Jim Ross in a new interview, the plan for the three GFW TV tapings is to film twelve 1-hour episodes and a 2-hour finale.
Jim Ross: "If the Global Force thing is there, I enjoyed working with Jeff Jarrett for the New Japan thing in January. I hope that they do great. I think that they can do a real good TV show with the roster they're putting together. He still has to find a network to air his shows on. I would be very interested in working with Global Force, it's just a matter of time obligations and budgets and everything. Everything has to fit schedule-wise. Adding 13 weeks of TV tapings, then going to Nashville and doing voice-overs, all of a sudden it becomes a pretty big project. And I have so many projects already in the pipeline. I just don't know if we're going to be able to balance everything to make that happen. I'm not against it, Jeff and I have talked about it. I just don't know that I can do it because of the time obligations. I'm a big fan of what they're doing there. As I understand it, it's going to be 12 one-hour shows, and then a 13th final episode. I'm a big fan of the one-hour shows. The finale will be a two-hour special. I think that's a good concept. There's some real good wrestlers coming in as well. They'd be fun to call."
-
That's from the GFW website. And yes, Sanada is in the graphic, but isn't mentioned in the official press release.
-
So, here's the full list of names they revealed today:
Chael Sonnen (as an announcer)
Karl Anderson
Doc Gallows
Davey Boy Smith Jr.
Lance Hoyt
Chris Masters
Justin Gabriel
Moose (from ROH)
Rosita
Lei'D Tapa
More to be announced in the future.
-
Looks like Doc Gallows and Karl Anderson were announced as well.
-
Justin Gabriel and Davey Boy Smith Jr. are two of the names they announced.

The brand new poster for the UK tour/TV tapings:
I like how Kurt Angle, whose TNA deal expires at the end of this year and who has publicly said he's not signing a new deal, is not only being advertised for the tour but is also front and center on the poster.
EDIT - And now Angle himself has confirmed he is indeed working the UK tour. Oh well.
