  1. A show that I promoted a couple of months ago, a mix of wrestling, burlesque and drag. It's a show running in London, and it's one of the few places in the UK that still regularly book British rules matches.

    Full show - https://youtu.be/fSMmw0fFzuc

Spike Trivet vs Jerry Bakewell - British Rounds Match

    Cyro performance

Cassius vs Amira - Loser Gets Pied In The Face Match

    Nova Storm performance

Stu Hart’s Sugar Hold?  Is that a real thing?  I’ve only seen the move in Fire Pro games so I’m not sure it’s anything more than an urban legend.

Supposedly, the sugar hold resembles a horizontal full nelson.  The wrestler puts his opponent in the camel clutch starting position, then changes the positioning of his hands so that the opponent basically locked in the full nelson.  The attacking wrestling then grinds his knees into the opponent’s back and the opppent hopefully gives up.

Curious if anyone has seen this.  I’ve only seen it in video games.

Stevie Richards definitely used to do the camel clutch full nelson on Sunday Night Heat, 2003/04 time. Pretty sure it was called the Rat Trap.

  3. Oney Lorcan vs Jack Gallagher from this week's show is worth a watch, it's short but the two leather each other with strikes at points. One of my favourite Gallagher performances.

How so.  Given the number of times in the past that they've run with the "Alicia Fox's character is cray-cray", teasing another crazy heel turn is a fairly predictable development.

    Shockingly acted, not surprising.

I've been digging 205 Live the last few weeks but this week was pretty dull.

I still think they need to be doing more six man tags to get people on the show and show off their trademark spots.

I actually thought this was easily the best episode so far, the matches seemed to get a bit more time to breathe and I don't mind the soap opera angle although Foxy's meltdown was shocking.

Not only that, but in reference to Noam Dar being a fan of them. Noam Dar is 23 years old. He was born in 1993. Rollerball Rocco retired in 1991. How many wrestlers who retired before you were born do you idolise?

DVDs are a thing, and the UK also had World of Sport on TV for a few years on the Wrestling Channel in the mid 00s.

  7. Pretty damn good Smackdown in all, good matches and the appearance of Boo Dallas was great. It might not mean anything, but to me the most interesting thing was Team BAD coming out and leaving to Sasha's music rather than Naomi's. She looked, at least for this show, to be positioned as the leader.

  8. The complete Balor/Jericho match from yesterday's show is on YouTube. And it's awesome. I expect nothing but good things from Neville/Jericho, I hope it's given a good chunk of time just like this one was.

Is it still up, I cant find it anywhere?

  9. Yeah, for a developmental territory, NXT is full of counter intuitive stuff like this. Barron Corbin is not becoming a better worker doing 25 second TV squashes.

I also swear I'm not Les Thatcher.

His house show matches are, by most accounts, way longer though.
  10.  I'm putting most of this on Harper, too, he just didn't look right, took a terrible bump off a snap mare that just looked awful.

I thought that looked great, he shouldn't be taking snapmares with ease from a guy who is about 100lbs lighter than him.

  11. I want a Mizdow promo in front of the crowd and subsequent brawl with Miz. I'd also quite like Sting to show up to lead in to a build for a match with someone (maybe Wyatt) at Summerslam. Give the girls 8-10 like they did last week too.
