  1. I'm going to sit down tonight & rewatch the special, but my first impression was that Neville/Owens was a much better match than Neville/Bálor. I enjoyed the match at TakeOver but after watching this weeks show, I'm thinking my enthusiasm for the special might have made me less skeptical of the match than I might normally have been.

  2.

WWE physician Chris Amann filed a lawsuit against Phil "C.M. Punk" Brooks and Scott "Colt Cabana" Colton over comments made in the November 26 "The Art of Wrestling" podcast. Amann accuses Brooks of "repeatedly and falsely impugned the integrity" of him as a physician.

Amann alleges that Colton helped Brooks falsely depict him as a lazy and bad doctor, and that both men "knowingly fabricated the false and disparaging statements."

Amann is seeking over $1 million in compensatory damages and an undetermined amount of punitive damages.

  3. Maybe i am just old and my reflexes suck but damn I cannot time out the reversals at all.  Always either too late or early.  This causes me to get my ass kicked for long periods.  Still like the game though.  I don't get the career mode with the 360, but the other modes are decent.

Same problem I have. Admittedly I don't play on a regular basis but this game gives me the most problems to develop any kind of timing whatsoever regarding reversals. The fact that the COM opponent seemingly does them at will. That and the blatant screen jump where you're about to land a move when suddenly the characters change to the animation of the COM performing a reversal that isn't in conjunction with your attacking move.

For example, you throw a standing dropkick and it changes into the animation of you getting a German suplex.

  4.

I started watching Black Mirror on Netflix and I don't think I've seen such a bleak satire show on TV before. There's something to a show where I have the feeling to look away when nothing graphic is going on but what they hit with modern people's traits is really brutal and quite honest. I'm watching the episode with the "American Idol" type show is leaving me breathless.

I've only watched "The National Anthem" but it was definitely one of the most vile and gripping things I've ever seen. My wife wandered in right around the part where he was about to f that pig and decided I was a lesser person for making her watch it.

    Great stuff.

Watched the first three episodes this weekend and wow is it dark. But right on the money when it's skewering people. society and popular trends. The third episode hit a nerve with me. I'm glad I've never dealt with that issue but I felt for the guy who's life started to unravel literally before his eyes.

  5. I would have thought it's a given in the Nash household that the only fight you go looking for after heavy drinking is on Twitter.

IIRC, Bobby Heenan was asked about Murdoch and said something to effect that "He could wrestle like Thesz but he wanted to be Red Bastien". Basically that he could be a great technician but he liked doing the comedy/overselling stuff more.

  6. Nightbreed: The Director's Cut was amazing. Since I hadn't seen the film in so long I forgot about some of the goings-on and it felt like there was a lot more character development and some interesting twists, even a significant but solid change

in the finale. Decker doesn't survive!

It did feel like all of its two and a half hours but I didn't mind at all. Such a visionary film, it's like Barker's version of Alice in Wonderland in a way and I'm not surprised it only found its audience way after the fact. They don't make movies like this anymore; they don't let them.

Glad to hear it's on Netflix. I'll definitely be checking this out tonight.

  7. They should have them all IMO. I'd almost rather see most of them on this show than in the ring and that's mostly because of the bad booking as well as some of them just can't wrestle (see Eva Marie, Rosa Mendes). I wouldn't mind seeing the NXT girls added to the mix as well. A little behind the scenes of the NXT process and then the transition to the main roster. Charlotte would be a good candidate for that except that they wouldn't be able to show Bram at all.

  8. Anyone here subscribe to the theory that Bob was a member of Terminus sent out to bring back people to eat? He was the last in that line at the trough so there wouldn't have been anyone left before they cut him loose. Maybe he had become connected to the group/Sasha and he was feeling regret about what he had become before his time with the group.

Also, I'm assuming the priest had locked himself inside the church out of fear and wouldn't let the parishioners in when they needed help.
