Yeah, that was the part we got bogged down on the longest. It was almost a quittable moment, because if we couldn't handle the 3rd round, how could we ever possibly beat Skolas with Lightswitch? Fortunately we stuck it out and got it done, but I feel like it was more luck than skill. I don't know that we could ever recreate that. Putting the 36 captain in there is definitely a dirty trick.By contrast, even though it took us 3 damn hours, Skolas seemed more manageable by comparison. Mostly because when things went badly, it was because we screwed up a mechanic, not because "yellow bar captain walks through your bullets like they're nothing and kills you." But Small Arms + only red bar adds really negated the Lightswitch threat, unless somebody had screwed up and we were scrambling to recover. The crazy thing is we almost cleared it on THE FIRST TRY. We were almost to the second set of mines and had cleared out most of the adds clear when someone - okay, it was me - had a brain fart on the Taint transfer. It would be another 2 hours before we even got that close again. Best way we've found to handle that damn 36 captain is to send over the Titan, slap down your Helm of Saint blinding bubble right on his doorstep as he comes out and go to town with a found verdict. If the Titan dies in the process its nothing to worry about, the others can work there way through the adds and revive him. And if the Titan fails to finish him off, well, he just ate half a dozen point blank arc shotgun rounds to the face, his shield and health are decimated and the remaining 2 players can finish him with Gjallarhorns across the map. You can also pull it off with an invisible Hunter but you lack the security of the bubble then. I was *that* titan on my skolas run. I died, but i took him with me.

Dude, i already have 3 found verdicts @ 365....what do you take me for, some random filthy casual or something? Seriously though, those two are easily into double digits of found verdicts that I've had drop for me having just recently gotten a fatebringer, then a second the week xur sold gjally.

Did some grimoire farming again today, needed a crap ton of hyrda and ogre kills. My grimoire score is now at 3495 after gaining more than 200 points since monday i believe. Oh yeah, and kicked the shit out of Skolas. Ended up using a 365 light beware in arc over the found verdict. We never let them get close enough to need shotguns and lightswitch didnt matter since fatebringer was popping heads at range. 2 titans and a warlock, we went left to start, then rotated over to the far platform and stayed there until it was time for mines, then two titans left the warlock with the taint (heheheh) and went to the far mine spawn. It was by no means flawless, but with a steady hand and a little bit of luck, Skolas turned to ash. On the last set of mines, i had to cover b with the taint and no bubble. I carpet bombed that mother fucker with gjally and came in hot as our warlock went down...barely made it back towards C as saggine bo popped a bubble shield over and grabbed my taint....i was hurt, but he was nurturing in my time of need...we both knew it was my first time. Im sorry, i couldnt help myself.

I just killed both my teammates with a sparrow because they werent helping during the strike. One of the bounties for today is complete a strike without dying. Moral of the story: act like a bitch, die like a bitch.

Got another icebreaker (4th) from a nightfall, then fadeless and i both got tlw's on our 3rd run...strange, ive never seen the nightfall drop the same weapon for everyone in it.

Hence the titan bubble and self res warlock, that way the warlock can res at the furthest mine after they get killed by the tainted light where the mine spawns.

Jt, we could run poe on 32 with your titan or warlock to get another armor core. That being said, i would recommend bringing a bubble titan or self res warlock into the 35 poe for obvious reasons. Im undecided which one i will bring, it depends on who our third is and what they are running. Im leaning towards titan though, becauwe i have a full aet of titan armor from Varricks with maxed intellect on it, and i have the saint 14 helm as well. Im not sure how effective a bladedancer will be against those enemies. An argument could made for the invisible ability for mines and resurr2ctions & whatnot, but i believe a gunslingers ability to smoke adds and create orbs for the titan's bubble would be more useful in the grand scheme of things..just some food for thought. That being said, load up on hand cannon telemetry, we gotta get that fatebringer up to snuff for this fight. Oh, and the found verdict drops from templar as well, so we can do that part on your warlock and titan for two shots at that hopefull

Yeah, that team i got together for that run was like a murderers row for vog. I still need to kill skolas as well, but there will be no more "burns" on hkm skmce that patch a while back. Bungie got pissed because people were ghorning him to death in 45 seconds when solar burn was on, so they nerfed his health, set enemies to spawn at health intervals instead of the timer, and took the burns away for skolas' round. I honestly believe a found verdict at 365 would serve you better for the adds (captains) than a sniper rifle, from what my guys are telling me anyway. That being said, i still have a templar save Phil, in case you want to try and get a fatebringer or timepiece this evening. I think varicks is also still selling a fallen themed armor this week, it would come in handy for that, looks be damned. It is going to be an uphill battle regardless, just because we are fighting enemies thats higher level than we are. Whatever slight edge we can get could be the difference in ashing that bastard, and shutting it down with our tails between our legs.

Good results on the vog hm speed run from templar for JT, i am very pleased. Somebody got a good weapon drop finally. We really kicked the shit out of atheon, huh?

Like the vikings will be relevant in december...pfft Gjally 1 is fully upgraded, as is the nechrochasm. Almost have the fang ready for an ethiric light now too. JT, i have a hard save on the templar in the vault if you are wanting a shot at fatebringer... Ive also got a normal mode gorgon cp, fwiw. Im going to try and roll that templar save over to next week (as to help people get a quick ahot at fatebringer), but we can beat him this week with a couple of ghorns, heavy synth, and quality sniping with just 3 people fairly easy. That being said, i really wish trading was in the game...ive got two fatebringers, 4 timepieces, and i lost cound on oversoul edicts. Not to mention two extra crux of crotas i wont be needing. I enjoy helping people out, i know how hard it is to grind to get stuff, and how god awful the rng is...

Im having trouble signing in on the 360 right now. Ive gotten most of my vog runs done today, still have a normal gorgon cp on my titan. Got the husk today, took about an hour...already have it up to the eidolon stage. Should have necrochasm by thursda...maybe friday

I got the skull of dire ahamkara for my warlock, an icebreaker (which i needed) for my titan and... Wait for it.... A little longer.... Almost there.... .... 11 strange coins for my hunter... I cant bitch too much, i needed the icebreaker. I think that guarantees dickface will sell it friday. Also, i tried the bones of mj again on patrol at earth... they worked. I am shamed. Maybe i was running a blade dancer with double jump when i thought i was running a tri jump gunslinger before. I dunno. Its been a rough week.

The new kicks totally give quad jump to Gunslingers unless there has been a recent patch. The problem is that some PvE zones have a defined ceiling that keep you from reaching a certain height so you can't wallbreach over certain obstacles.The Crucible zones have really high ceilings so you will get killed by snipers and guys with rocket launcher perched in absurdly high places. Not sure if you remember but during the Iron Banner, our team ran into a Bones of Eao sniper on the Rusted Lands map that was able to snipe over the wall separating A and B. Most players don't use the Bones in the Crucible because you are taking up an Exotic slot just for an additional jump and more HW ammo. Also they are DIS heavy and no one wants to take the INT hit in PvP. It was my custody weekend so no gameage for me. I'm also on graveyard until Friday morning so that should kill any Skolas opportunities for me unless I can sucker some Euros into carrying me. My bones of mj must be broken then....they are fully upgraded and i can only get three jumps out of my gunslinger. It says on the perk tree it upgrades double jump with an additional jump, i figured it only works for bladedancers...oh well I havent been able to check out anything in game today yet...ive spent most of the day at the dmv since my ol lady moved in last week and we are getting her stuff switched over....probably wont be on until late tonight either....as im now spendimg my evening in the er with my kid due to a possible broken ankle. Today has been fun...

The jordan's that xur is selling dont give a gunslinger a quad jump, fwiw. I had mine maxed before noon today, still only had three jumps. Did seem a little higher though.

For fucks sake dont waste ethiric light on armor. You can buy the armor with an armor core from the 32 poe, WHICH WILL HELP YOU ON 35 POE. I also wouldnt use that ethiric light on a word of crota either...use it for a fang of ir yut, fatebringer, timepiece, or an oversoul edict if you are serious about beating skolas.
