Oh yeah, I agree that it's a terrible idea.  There's a good reason nobody has really tried to make on since Rat Race, and that's without taking people away from their wrestling schedule.

Yes and that reason is because they know they can't possibly top the greatness that is Rat Race.

What's the age difference between Hogan in 2002 and Rock in 2024? Because Hogan looked in better ring shape than Rock does now, and despite working 30 minute long matches Roman ain't exactly a workhorse who does the physical heavy lifting in his matches.

Hogan was 48 Rock is 51

I’ve been happily surprised to hear a few things I didn’t know or remember in this Vince series on BTB, but oof it is a bit of a chore to get through these. I don’t find any of these guys nearly as funny as they find themselves.

I dont mind the two guests but the main guy is borderline insufferable.

  4. Well 2 episodes into the Vince Behind the Bastards and they havent really got to any bad Vince stuff yet. The first episode is basically a history of pro wrestling while the second is about his childhood of kicking Marines asses and the Playboy interview were he talks about it. Ive enjoyed it for the most part so far.

Someone I know who checks in on Cornette's podcast said that one of them on it had a criticism of the Elite or Page in recent history that sounded very much like what Punk said at the press conference. Given that Punk is unlikely to being talking to either of them, many people shifted their focus to either member of FTR. Last apparently was talking about the Cody stuff that climaxed with him leaving AEW earlier than most others as well, so there is more than a bit of smoke hinting that someone fairly well connected in the company is talking to him.

Fwiw Brian Last has been talking for a long time about there being a number of people backstage who arent part of the The Elites clique that have serious issues with them. He and Cornette said there are numerous people who have the same gripes Punk expressed but obviously arent in a position to be public with them. Hes also said more than once that Omega will be the next to leave.

does what he feels he has to do to put an end to it.

If the idea behind this was to put an end to comments about Jada he probably shouldve consulted with Barbra Streisand first.

without knowing it at the time, i'm pretty sure I was hearing Taylor Hawkins a lot during the period of time in the 90s when the Jagged Little Pill album was played often in my mom's car

Iirc he didnt play on the studio recording. He played on the tour.

There's no "right way" to prepare performers for Vince and the "creative" process of the main roster. HHH's NXT provided a platform for talent to grow and develop. But call ups were more often than not lambs being led to slaughter.

Has everyone seen the ticket sales for Stand and Deliver? Only have moveds 2/3rds of a scaled down arena. HHH's Takeovers used to be guaranteed full arena sellouts.

i remember going to NXT in Dallas on WM weekend in 2016. cost me $300 to buy a ticket on the secondary market. granted that wasnt in the NBA arena, but just looking it up now according to wikipedia they had a sold out 9000 people in the building.

I'm on this weeks Between the Sheets, talking March 1984, largely for a great week of Mid South TV, featuring MR Wrestling II beating JYD, the return of Jim Duggan to fight the Russians, and the start of the Last Stampede.

Yes, The Cake & The Slap.

Cornette did a segment talking about that on one of his podcasts last week.

edit: although listening to the beginning again i guess you already knew that.
