  1. Punk's a thin-skinned baby who hates his mother and put Colt on blast because he can't sympathize with people who would help their family financially

Hornswoggle asking Punk for someone's phone number and then Punk replying "YOU USED ME" and severing contact with him is all you need to know - the dude has control issues

Scott Keith is as much to blame for the era of meaningless flips and Johnny Kickpads as anybody. Dude ruined a generation of fans and future performers by shitting on Sid and Mark Henry while hyping drizzling shit white meat technical matches or whatever.

The world would be a much happier place if instead of that clown it was a reviewer that grew up on Memphis and Mid South that rose to prominence as a taste creator in the early internet.

Is DVDR not the same forum where David Bix rated Shawn Michaels vs. HHH from SummerSlam 2002 as one of the worst SummerSlam matches of all time, and the forum nodded sagely in agreement?

Scott's writing style was annoying but his match ratings were pretty spot-on

I don't have much time for Sammy, but I'd like to think that most of us can recognize that Andrade's "if you have a problem with me, settle it in the ring" take is wrong on multiple levels. That's what leads to New Jack trying to kill Vic Grimes by throwing him off a balcony.

You're mixing up two different things - Vic Grimes fucked up a balcony spot they were supposed to do together in ECW, and as a result Jack split his head open on the concrete, causing him permanent blindness. Jack throwing Vic Grimes off the scaffold in XPW was a receipt because Grimes never called to check on him or apologize.

Well, that would certainly explain a lot.

Punk quietly taking an office title so he can still appear as "one of the boys" while getting a benefits package

Don't want to give the other wrestlers any ideas that they should unionize!

Tony has passion which is needed desperately but he needs to start laying down the law. Doesnt need to be a dick but remind the talent they need to be on the same page to be successful since it's his money his rep. He needs to build a trusted team. Vince had Monsoon, Patterson a guy like Andre in the locker room. From the outside it looks like Tony does everything. And he needs to get the guys to tone down the Twitter the public outbursts like FTR calling him out knowing it would go online. Taz would call this a sloppy shop

One of the scenes from Rhodes to the Top that sticks out in my mind is Ricky Starks after getting injured last year confronting Cody about his future with the company - since Cody's gone, there's no one to run interference for Tony.

Oh shit double top secret suspensions for Andrade and Sammy?

Tony: Hey 10, want to lose your mask?

    10: No

Tony: Ok, sorry to bother you sir!

    Andrade: I'm not leaving

Tony: Ok, so I already planned on firing you...

    Andrade: I'm not leaving

Tony: Ok, sorry to bother you sir!

I think Sammy would be about 20,000 times better if he came up through NXT. There is a giant track record of people in NXT who learned how to perform as a character. Sami Zayn is probably the best in the world right now and until he signed with NXT he was under a mask pretending to be Mexican.

Sammy has the tools. He has a great pretty boy look. He's athletic as hell. But aside from public displays of affection with Tay is a crummy promo and doesn't know when to be vicious or when to be a cheap shot artist or when to look to the crowd for heat. That kind of stuff is really hard to learn. But he's in constant matches and the like with Chris Jericho, who is one of the best ever at the subtle timing needed in wrestling. But learning it once a week from Jericho (or if they train together at all elsewhere, which I doubt) isn't enough.

Sammy has also been really bad with cursing in promos or giving the finger or etc. All of that just tells me that he's never really worked on promos, or he doesn't know why a promo is a good promo, and he doesn't know how to work as a character. I think he'd be in a better situation where he'd have more guardrails.

WWE used to actively encourage wrestlers to take acting lessons and even brought in outside coaches to help the talent get better. Being the Elite and their promo style always comes across as "people who have never been trained to act doing what they think is acting".

It's cute for a web series, but on TV it just comes across as really bad

I hope he's right. I mean I'm generally a fan of AEW's version of 'Sunday Night Heat' aka the B show Rampage, but I'd love it even more if it were the main focused weekly Ring of Honor TV. I like to think this would mean it's own taping rather than putting on matches in front of exhausted crowds post-Dynamite. The earlier suggestion of using the Universal tapings, which has been mentioned prior, would be far less appealing. For one, those crowds seem full of casual fans and their families. Not a problem for an AEW c/d show. Potentially a problem however for a Wrestling based product very much in need of hot crowds. Further, Dark has been great for finding a few reps for the greenhorns, and trying out new talent. Let's go with ROH 'It's Rampage Baby'. And hey, why not just make Elevation the B show that so many less fans watch?

TNA had dedicated fans at Universal until that "you're cast members and have to react how we say" pre-show lecture from the producer in 2010 or 2011 - they all disappeared after that

Tourist crowd mixed with smart fans would be better for ROH than taping it before Dynamite in a large arena where the fans don't care at all - then it's just ECW on Sci Fi. The smart fans don't show up now at Universal because the AEW Dark matches are trash.

Few upcoming Rampage shows are being booked without Dynamite.

For bad news again, Meltzer and more people went into more about the ticket sales decline for AEW.  So the slowing down of buying tickets, less sell outs, smaller crowds and renting even smaller buildings.

WrestleTix has the info for tickets solds so far for the next few months.

So is it Punk's absence alone that caused the drop in sales, or is it Kenny/Bucks? Little bit of both?

Talking with @SirSmellingtonofCascadia today about how brilliant Bret Hart was at finishes led me to thinking about the best finishes ever. The last thing you see in a match and having invested in what came before it, it has to deliver. I've come up with:

Steiner Bros. vs. Money Inc. cage match from SummerSlam Spectacular 1993 - Scott holding IRS on his shoulders and trapping him against the cage to prevent him from hitting the floor was awesome
