Yoshiko out-ranked Act, she was the champion and was in more main events. She was no Puder or Rhyno. My point is that no one in US Wrestling History has ever been blackballed from wrestling due to something they did in the ring regardless of their status, there is always a promotion willing to use a wrestler. She got fired/forced to resign/whatever from the promotion the incident happened, that's all that would have happened in WWE at most as well.

I'd be willing to bet if Kevin Owens repeatedly takes down Reigns on Sunday and punches his face so hard that he looks like the elephant man, he will be sent back to the indies.

I dunno, wrestling in the US is sketchy too, I don't think that would have mattered. JBL ran over to Blue Meanie and intentionally punched him in the face on live TV which led to him bleeding everywhere and they turned it into a storyline. Perry Saturn intentionally dropped an opponent on his head and he was given a mop for awhile. God knows how unprofessional some ECW wrestlers were. Wrestling World doesn't take place on the same plane as Real Life, I accepted that a long time ago.

But just as you said, we aren't talking about the biggest draw in the company.  We're talking about Blue Meanie and a jobber.  A closer comparison would be Daniel Puder.  Yoshiko was definitely higher up the card but imagine if a Rhyno would have shot on Kurt Angle on national tv like Yoshiko.

The fact is, none of us knows what happened between Act and Yoshiko so I generally just stay out of it as its none of my business. Act was still actively in Stardom for 1.5 years after the incident (at least, don't know the current status) so I haven't seen any evidence Stardom is mad at Act or thinks she did anything wrong, she has a recent picture of her with Kris Wolf on her timeline and would likely still be wrestling in Stardom if the doctors didn't advise her to stop. But wrestlers/promoters don't seem mad at Yoshiko either, from vets of other promotions to current Stardom wrestlers. My assumption from the little we do know is that Act and Yoshiko legitimately didn't like each other at all and chose a really bad time to 'work out their differences,' if they had squared off in the dojo un-televised then fans wouldn't have gotten so mad about it.

I don't think a debate will change anything but y'all of course can have at it :)

We also have to consider the culture.  In America, Yoshiko would have been banished to a career in Insane Clown Posse's shitty fed.  While in Japan, Shibata can be a total asshole and take liberties all over the place and be revered.  My theory is that Act/Yoshiko was supposed to be a light beer version of Hokuto/Kandori but Yoshiko completely lost the plot.  To say that Yoshiko was within her rights to "defend herself" is ludicrous.  Those shots by Act weren't any stiffer than she would get from anybody else. You want to be a professional, you need to act like a professional.

I had thought when they announced Cesaro/Sheamus in the Rumble, that Gallows/Anderson had entered too but I guess not. Seems weird to only have one of the teams wrestling each other on the preshow also be in the Rumble. But I'll hope this means there are 8 surprises. One will be The Demon Kane.

I'm banking on Gallows/Anderson screwing Cena out of the title against AJ, then Cena winning the Rumble and challenging AJ at Wrestlemania.

Great news, hopefully she get's absolutely destroyed and KO'ed. The only time I'll be tuning in to watch anything she does.

    Something tells me no.

Wasn't Yoshiko a highly trained judoka?  Or have I gotten her mixed up with somebody else.

Undertaker is still the favorite to win the Rumble, according to the oddsmakers.  I just can't see it as it stands.  If Undertaker wins, he would then wrestle KO, Reigns, AJ or Cena at Wrestlemania.  (I'm assuming Undertaker can wrestle any champion he wants)  KO and AJ don't make sense to me and a Cena/Undertaker match for Cena's belt doesn't make sense either.  So that leaves Reigns and I'm sure they don't want Reigns boo'ed at another Wrestlemania.  So what's the most likely scenario for an Undertaker win?  A title change at Fastlane/EC?  My crazy theory is that some combination of Goldberg/Lesnar screws the Undertaker and we get a triple threat match at WM.  As shitty as that match will be, it will be a spectacle.

Ooh, this doesn't sound so crazy now.

Putting aside whatever ethics issues people have with breaking a contract, legally NJPW would have minimal damages from Omega showing up unannounced to the Rumble since he isn't booked for those last three days.

I'm sure New Japan has always honored contracts and intellectual properties, so it's fair to expect the same from WWE.

What BS is that that AJ gets the same level of placement as fucking R-Truth (Miz being so far back is bad too) Surprised to see Swann on the poster at all though

Fun fact the front line's combined age is 179

I mean, you have to have four part-timers at the front of the picture, so it doesn't really matter who else goes where.

Problem with Miz winning is that it likely means Cena wins the title from AJ, and your Mania co-main just becomes Cena "getting his win back" from WM 27.

I'm thinking they could do the spot where #30 comes in with no one left in the ring, but only after someone doesn't show up for their spot mid-match due to "backstage injury". Then a replacement comes in, so you could get something like Miz vs. Bryan's hired gun.

What if Miz wins and decides to challenge for the Universal Title, if there isn't a rule that says he has to compete for a Smackdown title.  That puts DB in the position of having to root for Miz.  (I know this is completely implausible because Vince will want a Raw guy to win.)

I don't see it in the cards (even though anything could happen with the split rosters) but i would be more than okay with a Miz win this year. There's no denying that guy is killing it.

Could you imagine a Miz win and Bryan having to eat shit for 3 months?
