She was biting her fingers. The ref said stop and she did that. Then she bit then again.

Wow, this match is terrible.  I can't remember the last time I saw Kyoko and Mimura as bad as this.  I think Hana's favorite wrestler is secretly Manami Toyota, because she has a pretty good Toyota dropkick.

I would say that its her mother's influence as she really isn't that good yet when not playing heel, at least from what little I've seen.

The only match I've seen where she wasn't the heel was her debut match and that's like a totally different wrestler.

Hana Kimura was already my favorite rookie so at least she is helping me justify that stance.

Some people just get pro-wrestling.  I realize she has a little bit of a headstart being a 2nd generation wrestler but that didn't help Greg Gagne.

I'm still trying to figure out where she jumped from, the picture was taken at a fantastic angle since it makes it look like she is flying.

I'm pretty sure it's from the edge of the balcony in the NE corner.

On my never-ending quest to track down weird random Joshi events from ten years ago (so when the current stars were babies and the current old timers were in their prime), I saw this picture online and hunted down the match:

Looks like Yuu Yamagata vs. Amazing Kong from T-1 GP. No idea where she jumped from, show was at Korakuen.  I also tracked down an event that Rossy Ogawa has a "match" of sorts, no idea if its his only unofficially official match or not. We'll find out in a few days hopefully. I also have Wild Hero on the way. I have no idea why I can't be satisfied with the dozen 2016 events I haven't watched yet, I think because I got into Joshi so late I feel there is older stuff I need to catch up on, and I like going after smaller shows as I generally find them more fun.

Strangely enough, I had a hand in this match.  This was back when I was talking to them both and Kong said she wanted to wrestle Yamagata.  Yuu was dumbfounded that Kong even knew who she was when I told her.

So to get discussion moved in a more positive direction. Just for fun if you were tasked with taking all of the current Joshi promotions and combining them into three promotions, how would you divide the talent?

    Spreadsheet time.

Watched the Ruaka debut tag match, exactly what you would expect.  Azumi looked like Jaguar Yokota compared to the other three.  Hopefully she gets taller.  Ruaka looks like a mini-Etsuko Mita with a similar dropkick.  She should probably keep working on that.

Kyona looks like a powerhouse, but she doesn't wrestle like one.

Unfortunately, she's only 5'1".  I realize that pretty much everybody else is in Stardom as well until she goes against the foreigners..  Except for Bito and I noticed they're giving her some muscle spots, like the double suplex in the tag finals and the delayed suplex thingy where she took Io and dumped her on Mayu.

Just watched the tag league finals. Io said she was going to bring Mayu into her new unit with HZK but decided against it because Mayu has lost all the fire she once had. Kairi was great on after the match, trying to get Mayu to insult Io, shooing Rosa away and just being Kairi.

Match was good but a bit tough to watch knowing the outcome. Crowd was hot.

It makes less sense the way it played out than reading the description.  They tease dissension in the semis because Mayu won't tag in.  Then there's some miscommunication but they win anyway.  Then Io waits 15 minutes into the tourney final to turn on Mayu?  That's just dumb.  Plus, you have the decision to have them beat Momo/Kyona.  Io and Mayu were bumping like Sami bumps for Owens, you had the miscommunication spots and then you just have them win anyway.  Why not have them lose there, then Io has a good reason to dump Mayu.  I think they just panicked.

I am in the process of starting the contemplating phase of making a Top 100 Joshi Wrestlers Ever List. I realize these are subjective and there is no right or wrong answer, my only concern is I'll accidentally leave off someone. I know I'll have Chigusa higher than most and Bull lower than most, but besides that my Top 10 should match most peoples even if the order is different.

My "gap" in viewing is like 1998 to 2009. Which I realize is a hell of a gap, that part of Joshi isn't talked about much so I've mostly been focusing on 1985 to 1995, then current day. I've seen matches here and there in that range, but not enough for example to get a good feel of how Manami Toyota was post her big AJW run. So while its impossible to watch everything, I do feel like I need to do a bit more in that era before diving too strong into it.

I think the hardest part of these lists is deciding where to put wrestlers still in their prime today. Has Io done enough to be on the list? Kana? If I put them on the list now and they have five to ten more years of wrestling, where would that put them then? I don't want to do only retired wrestlers since so many Legends are still wrestling, so its one of those things that no matter what I do with the current bigger stars someone will take exception to it.

Obviously, this person has to go in at #1.

Ooooooh, shoot names! CAPS! Keeping it real up in here!

But now, are you sure Paul's last name isn't hyphenated with a MCMAHON?

Or didn't change his last name to McMahon like Simon changed his last name to Inoki.

I figured she was just going to do the Kagetsu thing, heel-ish in Stardom, face everywhere else.

Are you kidding, not with those bangs.  That's a straight babyface rookie hairdo.  Can't see her pulling off this look for a while.

Rossy tweeted something along of the lines of this being a "reset" for Stardom, a possible turning point, and that there are great expectations for Mayu.

The new Threedom is now Hojo, Mayu and Bito. I wonder if this means Hojo will stay.

So, he's just replacing Shirai with Bito.  Doesn't seem like that big a change to me.

So Io turned on Mayu after losing the tag league to Hojo & Bito, and then revealed a new tag partner who is totally not Hazaki Reo.

They are doing this so wrong.  I tried to help them but they wouldn't listen.

ah, i forgot, it's on my Private DM list : Here We Go!

That's it, thank you sir.  This was the match that got me into joshi puroresu.  It was included on a comp tape of various Japanese deathmatches, for some reason.
