Between Mayo & Vrabel being out there, there's no fucking way McDaniels gets hired.
Hiring a former star linebacker seems to be working out for the Texans.

Belichick officially gone, another "mutual" decision. Please not McDaniels.

Joe Thomas is landing with the Munich Ravens (to coach offensive line and do some ambassadorial stuff).

We got a name for the merged XFL/USFL...
Not to be confused with the UFL of about ten years ago (Las Vegas Locos etc).

Is there a reason, apart from needless cruelty, that the Titans are wearing Oliers throwbacks in a game against Houston?

they flexed Chiefs/Patriots off of MNF in the last week, if you were unsure about how bad the Patriots are this year
As a public service they shouldn't televise any of the remaining games involving the Patriots this season.

When they put the camera on Kraft in the crowd (I think it was after the Jones interception) it looked like he was ready to dissolve the team.

The end of Bill Belichick's tenure in New England is going to be ugly.

The Patriots have looked awful, but the German stadium PA operator is blasting out The Vengaboys and Oasis which are coming through nicely on the broadcast so my spirits are remaining buoyant.

Watching the Pats turn into a contender for a top 3 pick is a beautiful sight to see.
I'm not enjoying it. Just awful on offence with the worst kicking in the league.

Jim Tomsula's Rhein Fire go for the perfect season in the ELF Championship game.

The European League of Football is back again. It has expanded again with 6 new faces, although the Istanbul Rams did not return from the 2022 season.
The Milano Seamen are one of the expansion teams and they play in a velodrome!

Dipped into the highlights of the XFL on YouTube and it offends my eyes from an aesthetic standpoint. If the score and ticker bar is going to take up 1/3rd of the screen it shouldn't look so ugly. The last before-times iteration of the XFL at least had a logo that didn't look like it was designed on a graphing calculator. I did like the 1-2-3 point conversions though.

This is the first time that the UK coverage (on the non-SKY Sports coverage, which bounces around networks like nobody's business) has sent an actual commentary team, rather than just using the American telly commentators.
Johnathon Pearce is very annoying. It's not Robot Wars.
I'm thankful that the 99p NFL GamePass Super Bowl offer spared me from 4 hours of JP.

Finally losing to the Cowboys is probably the thing that convinced him to really retire this time.

Zach Wilson and Mac Jones being awful makes me very happy.
Mac Jones isn't... I can't even lie to myself anymore

Devin McCourty is turning into Zach Wilson's favourite target, which I am fully behind.

Well the bar for entry is to beat Kurt Warner who SUCKED for the Giants and was perfectly fine surrounded by great receivers and coordinators.
"Perfectly fine" seems to be underselling being an integral part in some of the most effective offences in NFL history at the time. Surrounded by great receivers and coordinators Warner was obscenely productive. He also lead NFL Europe in passing TDs and yardage while he was there which really means he should get 2 busts in Canton. But yes, he did also have some really down years.

Get that man a cushion to sit on.

Joe Flacco still has one of the finest arm punts.

Another round of expansions announced for next season... still no Amsterdam or London

The European League of Football has kicked off a second season after expanding to 12 teams. To celebrate this they've put up a cinematic/NFL Films style presentation of the champsionship game from their inaugural season.
No London Monarchs or Amsterdam Admirals yet

If you told me that was a picture of Mac Jones I wouldn't argue. That's certainly one way to confuse defences.

Poor Joe Flacco. When you're in the middle of a Cinderella story, but the clock was set wrong and you turn back into a pumpkin mid-game.
