WWEN just dropped World Class's 1981 Star Wars, which is worth the watch for no other reason than to see that Harley Race was doing the missed diving head butt table spot (re: vs. Hogan in 88) as early as 1981. Insane.

An “I Quit” match with the stipulation that the loser leaves NXT would be fitting. Gargano wins & Ciampa can head to 205 live to take the title from Alexander.
This match was very, very good but hurt by the finish. I think it would have been a little better if Gargano hadn’t spent so long thinking about it. If he just hit 5 superkicks (RIP that as a finish forever) then clearly lost control and smashed the knee it would have been better.
I also think a “First Blood” stipulation would have been way better overall anyway.
I get what they were trying to accomplish with the finish. It just didn't quite resonate in practice as it probably did on paper.
The finish was the age-old moral from the Batman comics of "Never try to out-Joker The Joker".

Can we please just skip to the part where Keith Lee gets shit on by the crowd and finds himself as a heel?

I don't see Vince comparing the main shows to NXT at all. Yes the shows are killer but the investment hasn't nearly returned a profit yet and that's all he cares about.
Anyway, honestly an all time great show. Within the confines of a restricted PG environment the Main was just about as perfect as you can get.
The profit in NXT isn't in NXT. It's Balor Club, YES!, King of Strong Style merch, etc., sold at the WWE fanbase level.

Looks great.
The set, I mean. Nobody tell me to calm down!
The set looks fantastic but THANK GOD no one still has a picture tube TV or that set would be permanently embedded.

Dat EC3 entrance music, it's good. Wonder who's behind it, CFO$ or the newer guys.
Yeah, WTF is Lars using the diving head butt; besides the neck, he really shouldn't be doing top rope moves with his knees already banged up.
I mean, the poor bastard already came along 30 years too late to make all the money with Hulk Hogan around the horn. Why is he pushing his bad luck further?

Suh rumor du jour is the Rams making a play for him.
Suh and Aaron Donald side by side is potentially terrifying.
-
But let's cut to the meat of the matter. If WrestleMania wasn't a loaded show BEFORE this week...
-
Branch and possibly Suh are goners then.

This is his "No, you're not going to make me break character, person in the huddle who just told a dirty joke" face.

How is Rollins not any part of this potential Plan B scenario considering he's finally gotten to the level they need him to be at?

But it amuses me how wrestling is one of the few "sports" where commentary is reviewed. I mean I get it, but it's weird that people get invested in it.
Let me tell you the story of a man named Joe Buck...

There WAS a little bit of an "End of Face/Off" feel to it where the last chase goes way too long. But, they were telling a battle of attrition story, so it doesn't work UNLESS it goes that long.
In the end, Almas needed the win to cement himself as a credible champion more than Gargano needed the underdog win. Especially if the Takeover Nawlins endgame is Almas v Black.

Say "Hi" to Ricochet if you somehow run into him. Somewhat plausible in a town that size if he's visiting from wherever he lives these days. Wikipedia says Orlando. Just look for the guy who looks like Prince Puma.
There's a strong facial resemblance and we have the same last name. So I'm ready for that question. A lot.

Well, here's one for you: In about a month, I am leaving Florida in order to take a job offer in, of all places, Paducah, Ky.
I am not shameless enough to post my GFM link right here right now, but I probably will shortly or at least point the board over to @jdmann, where I've been having fun putting my cut-out head onto Kentucky iconography. Case in point:

To go into the Horseshoe in your second game as a HC and trounce the Buckeyes is pretty goddamn impressive. Oklahoma might have someone in Lincoln Riley.

Jazzy Gabert needs a handful of in ring upgrades, but HOLY SHIT, the presence is amazing. She's Fraulein Stroman, and that is a compliment.

David Griffin pulled his name out of contention with the Knicks because the Knicks refused to give him total control nor would they let him big his own front office staff.
Yup - that is gonna work out great for them...
How many times do you think Isiah has called or texted in the last two weeks?

I get what they were going for with the finish, but in execution, Roman carried it like an excited German Shepherd who wanted a car ride.
"Who's a Big Dog that wants to go for a ride in the car? You are! Good boy!"

The ending at least made a modicum of storytelling sense, in that Taker was ultimately pissed that he wanted to settle the last round of this fight with zero bullshit and HHH took the cheap way out. It just took forever and a day to get there.
