Does anyone wonder if Sony will still go through with the Sinister Six and Venom movies? Just not sure how they won't get cold feet on these at some point. Amazing Spider-Man 2 is struggling to cross over $200 million domestic. So realistically, how much do they expect a film like Sinister Six to make while also spending upwards of $200 million on it? A Sinister Six movie would not come cheap.
I always believed the main reason Sony rebooted the franchise was so they could do a Venom series.
Given Sony's dire financial straits, the worse ASM2 performs, the more tempted Sony will be to sell the rights back to Marvel.

The idea that wwe fans are all idiots may be fair but the idea that marketing to idiots is a bad idea is amazingly stupid. Anyone on here ever buy a merc because Jon Hamm voice their commercials and they air during Mad Men?
Point. But as mentioned earlier here, the demos that WWE attracts aren't the ones that advertisers are willing to pay top dollar for. And while everyone shits on the PG-Era, shifting the focus towards the younger demographic was probably the smartest thing they've done in years for marketing purposes, regardless of Senator McMahon's prospects.
