The final segment with Trick and Ilja was sold up until Melo came out to blame Ilja for attacks on both himself and Trick. Hayes just sounded so unconvincing. To be fair that might have been the point though it felt just like bad acting on Hayes's part.
Man, things went down the drain once Melo came out. His theory wasn't awful, except that it doesn't fit Ilja's character at all. Like you said, maybe that was all the point but it was terrible and dragged so badly.

Wen't to see GCW Highest in the Room over the weekend. Blake Christian and Starboy Charlie had the match of the night and it was fun seeing Maki Death Kill but my take away was being uncomfortable with how much man on woman violence there was and is at some of these indy shows. especially in front of a crowd that's 80-90% male.
Yeah, I watched it on FITE and ended up with the same feeling you did. Masha and Fatu had a GREAT intergender match recently that didn't rely on the cheap heat and that's now my ideal of how these things should go if they must (and I, for the most part, wish they mustn't).
Also that whole Mance turn on Effy was kind of lame.

You put some respect on Fox 45 Baltimore's name!
Going back and looking at the videos, it is interesting that they were all for the same station - I thought for sure it was a Sinclair thing where he did spots for all of their markets.

Mark Briscoe typing on a computer amuses me. It's probably a phone, but I'm seeing him on a laptop clacking away at a keyboard like me.
He's using a shared drop-in cubicle at one of the TV stations he did weather at back in 2011 or so.

I looked at the scoreboard with 2 minutes left in the Men's Iron Survivor match and said to myself, "Well, I guess it isn't Trick's night."
Same, I was at a friend's house and I turned to him and said, "this is kind of dirty to do to Trick".

The final segment with Corbin thinking he had Ilja's number via pissing him off only for ilja to hug him was an interesting choice. Kind of dug it, especially with Corbin having that nervous look of someone realizing they made have made a mistake.
Yeah, the overwrought "DO I OR DON'T I GIVE IN TO ANGER" thing was stretching a bit thin until the embrace. That was the perfect way to end that.

QT would actually be a nice fit in TNA.
That's what I thought as soon as his comments started circulating. His backstage experience should make him very valuable to TNA. Plus if he brings Morrison with him he's already established as Johnny Impact.

The power of Muta and NOAH.
If they did flashback videos of Muta finding Nakamura as a baby and feeding him bottles of mist I would be so on board.

I was watching Lockup a while ago and the pod boss was a chola in her 60s named Daddy; I think about this often.
How often?

I'm thinking it has to be a male so TK can immediately feature the signing in his Continental Caper or whatever it is. I'll go with Sami Callihan.

The Dusty bicycle clip is timeless, but the apology for losing his train of thought at the end is the absolute cherry on top. Pure comedy genius.

Jericho’s suit seemed more ridiculous to me at first because I forgot he was in that street fight and I thought he just hadn’t changed into his gear
I expected at least Kenny to come out suited up after seeing Jericho. He and Ibushi coming out in gear made Jericho look even sillier.

They could have gotten Jericho a tailored suit, for heaven's sake.

It was reissued for Record Store Day back in April. A lot of times, a record store is forced to order a certain number of a title for that. I've seen a ton of copies of Be a Man at record stores since then. I'm guessing a lot of places were stuck with them after people didn't want to pay like $30 for what's basically a novelty record.
Oh, I know, but (1) this place has a separate bin for RSD releases and (2) it was at the front of the new release bin in early November. It's almost like they reordered it, which boggles the mind.

There's a small hardcore punk distro/label I order from, Beach Impediment Records, and they have Be A Man and the Hulk Rules album for sale, along with OSTs of The Evil Dead and The Shining, and those are the only other non-punk records. It makes no sense and gives me a chuckle whenever I see that.
I flipped through the new releases at my local record store last weekend and, for some reason, Be a Man was right at the front of one of the crates.

I have memories of malt liquor in plastic 2-liter bottles at the grocery store in NYC in the 80s but I can find no evidence online that this actually existed.
Purple Passion was a malt beverage, right? That was in 2-liter bottles.

now if Roddy's friends send in a tape of Roderick Strong rising from the sea like the Purple Haze, that might be too overt a sign and they might go in another direction for who the Ninjas/Devil are
They really need to have one of the ninjas wearing a neck brace.
