EX: I am pretty sure it is in the lawsuit and not something in the media (I can’t check right this second), but the victim claims the WWE didn’t reach out to her when conducting its own internal investigation. Would the WWE — being looked at by the SEC for Vince’s payoffs along with Vince and who knows who else internally facing a criminal investigation and in the midst of a potential giant corporate merger while shopping around a billion media rights deal — be that stupid to not follow all of the internal investigation stuff to the letter of the law? Or, more accurately, would the very expensive law firm they hired to conduct the investigation put their reputation at risk to help out a wrestling company?

I thought one of the board members who left (I believe forced out) upon Vince's return disputed that and confirmed that they DID reach out to the victim.  I'll try to dig up where I read that.

Well if the news on Sports Illustrated is true, I think the Rock will win the Rumble.   Punk winning makes no sense unless they somehow figure how to get the RAW title on Cody.   My 2nd choice is Gunther

Women seems to be pretty obvious in Becky Lynch.

Same, GUNTHER is definitely in my top two.  I think it's more likely that Cody eliminates Punk and Punk pulls Cody out in frustration that either of them wins.

Has anyone ever been to obscure yet pro wres identifiable town before?

I once was in Bucksnort, Tennessee.

I got within a few miles of Truth or Consequences, NM when I was on a work trip to El Paso but couldn't talk my coworker into stopping.  Very disappointing.

The Gary Hart talk made me have to pull up this lovely promo again. "Hey bro, what it is!" and "That's dirty, Brooks!" have been in my head for years now. Watching it again, however, you realize they're talking about Mike Von Erich's shoulder separation, which led to the toxic shock, which led to the coma, which led to the suicide. Yeesh. And the guy Gary would find to complete his trio? In the words of NWA Champion Mr. Harley Race, "............KABUKI!"

Lol, Tony was doing too much but his response to Bischoff cracked me up.

Tony dropping Joan Collins on Bischoff makes up for a lot of bullshit we've all had to deal with on social media over the years.

Kind of an odd move if they keep the pick and draft Williams. Conventional wisdom is just to start fresh, but I'm not sure there's too many exciting coaching names out there right now.

Whatever keeps the Bears from sniffing around Jim Harbaugh is fine with me, even keeping Eberflus.

I've told this before, but Marvelous Mitch Ryder painted my living room.

I'll tell this part again since it's AEW-related: At the time, my daughter was really into NXT. She was around five-years-old. She HATED Samoa Joe (she loved Shinsuke and they were feuding), so she asked Mitch if he'd ever wrestled him. Mitch, switches right into promo mode and says, "No, darling. I've never rassled him. But if I ever do, I'll whoop him real good for you!"

    Amazing.

  8. Okay, DVDVR, I need your help.  My friend and I both remember seeing a promo on non-TNA TV (I'm thinking CWUSA maybe?) for America's Most Wanted, probably around 2003-2005.  Lots of the two riding horses shirtless, very reminiscent of the Fabs promos.  Does anyone else have any memory of this?  We've gone so long never finding the clip that my friend is starting to believe that we imagined the whole thing.

Today he's claiming that an ESPN executive is trying to sabotage his show so it sounds like things are going great for him right now.

I'd look more closely at who my team is booking but that's just me.

  10. A truly well-deserved honor.

Aaron Rodgers' first season with the New York Jets lasted only four plays, but he still made an impact. On Friday, he was voted by his teammates as the Jets' most inspirational player for the 2023 season.

"I've said it a million times: He loves his teammates, and his teammates love him," coach Robert Saleh said. "He's so intentional with how he approaches everybody in the building. He's very thoughtful in the way he does things, and he's a tremendous human. He's really well deserving of this award."

    Meltzer:

Finlay vs. Moxley vs. Ospreay, ****3/4.

    Okada vs. Danielson, *****1/4.

    So if Meltzer says 4 3/4* is basically 5, is 5 1/4* basically 5 or 5 and a half?

Given Japan's general attitude toward Weed, I don't see Riddle being a fixture in NJPW, at least not in Japan itself.

I assume he's around to sell some tickets for NJPW USA.
