  1. RE: Orton's win....

My wife(who is a casual fan at best) and I were talking about Meltzer saying that if Cena cuts back his time or were to leave tomorrow they have no one to be the "face" of the company as they still are adjusting the crowd to accepting Roman. When the eventual Bray loss at Mania happened she says " they probably trust Orton to be the guy between Cena and Reigns." which I think explains it. However, I still don't see the need to take the belt off AJ. And if for some reason AJ gets the belt back from Orton than we are exactly where we started in January.

I have now bought 4 Technician Token bags and haven't gotten a single stick of gum (need either 2 or 5 depending on who I choose to upgrade)

Oh and got Miz for the THIRD time when getting a superstar crate

    Grr....

    This....

Been trying to evolve Dean Ambrose NXT forever with no gum in site. Also, was getting very frustrated with building up chips just to get repeats of guys. On a whim last night, I took an offer to install a game and get a free one week subscription to it. I then promptly cancelled the 1 week so I wouldn't forget it, uninstalled the game, and collected the 864 dollar game bonus. Turned around and bought a pack and got Goldust, so at least I can team him with Stardust for the bonus. Using a farming guide from Reddit, played the Wyatts in Indianapolis 15 straight times to get JBL's Keychain and only left with a lantern, some training posters and a bunch of tokens.

I don't think I can watch another match where Seth Rollins is the heel. It's so antithetical to his skillset and I'm baffled why they keep trying to force the square peg into the round hole.

    See also Reigns; Roman

I still don't understand how anyone beating Tye Dillinger is supposed to be a huge upset. It's Tye Dillinger.

Right?! When Corey Graves on commentary said "You get one chance to be a 10 and he was and now it's gone" made me think "Uhhh, he loses all the time. Doubt one more will hurt him."

Even better was following that match/comment with Aries saying "Losing one match doesn't define you" during his promo. Anyways, good show as usual.

  5. I have the network and I didn't watch it.

That speaks louder than breaking down matches or segments.

I have the network, had absolutely nothing better to do, and I didn't watch it either. I chose to kill time by playing a game I've beaten at least 10 times already.

Which game is the real question here

  6. Do they not remember putting Heath Slater over Dolph a month ago?  Why they would even be pairing him with Owens, let alone beating him clean, is beyond me.  That was a joke.

Dolph has a WWE movie coming out soon. Just wait till Kane start's getting big wins cause of it.

That statement sums up everything wrong with this company.

  7. "We really don't like Roman Reigns and don't want him to be the WWE Champion because he doesn't respect us and doesn't play by our rules, so let's go out of our way to make sure we take the title off him, but the very next night we're going to give him a free, unsolicited shot at competing for the WWE championship next month at our PPV."

    - The Authority

My gripe of these kind of angles for years...

With Austin-McMahon they ended up having to go through all kinds of convoluted routes  to keep Austin around the title. Now they don't even try and honestly I'm not sure which is worse.....

  8. Three straight Rumbles where I walk away unsatisfied. They're actually managing to bury the best gimmick in wrestling.

    I do not like WWE.

Playing 2k16 and reflecting on the Rumbles recently has me feeling this way. I had actually FORGOTTEN that Roman won last year.

  9. That ending was absolute garbage.  How does Triple H as champion work long-term at all?  So they run Reigns vs. Triple H at WrestleMania?  After they've buried Reigns and failed to get him consistently over at all?  How does that compute?

It's still hard to get over WrestleMania 25 and how Triple H screwed the pooch there and how they completely failed to let Randy Orton take off when he was on the path to becoming huge at the time.

You have reached your quota of positive votes for the day

  10. The roof would have blown off the fucking arena had Ambrose won and it would have been unpredictable.

Instead, same old shit. So fucking boring and predictable.

I thought maybe....just maybe...they would do that and have Ambrose drop it at the next PPV but nope....

  11. I'm on episode 2 of Tales from the Borderlands. It's just not grabbing me for some reason. I may be getting sick of the Telltale gimmick.

I felt this way about A Wolf Among Us at first but it grew on me. I think after I finish Game Of Thrones on Telltale I may just leave it to playing the Telltale Walking Dead games as there really isn't much different gimmick wise from game to game.

  12.

I really hate like 97% of all finishers in WWE. Like, I think most would benefit from using a different finish.

There isn't a single finisher in the entire promotion that makes me feel like it matters(OK, maybe the Pop-Up Powerbomb).  I never need to see another spear, downward spiral variation, or a DDT that looks less painful than a regular old DDT.  Is there a reason Ryback's Samoan drop is more devastating than all of the other Samoan drops we see all over Raw?  Seriously, why is his Samoan drop better than the ones used by the Usos', Rusev's, or Roman Reign's Samoan Drops?  Everything about their product is stale as three day old shit, I'm actually afraid to go into the "How Happy are You with the WWE Product," thread.  I feel like I'd start typing and never stop.

This argument begins and ends with John Cena and the AA which is literally a fireman's carry albeit from a standing position.

  13. So if Rollins hadn't gotten injured, what would the original plan for the show have been?

Would Reigns have gone over Rollins, then still been beaten by Seamus right away?

If so, would that bit with HHH coming out to congratulate Regins and getting speared still have happened, leading to Seamus seemingly being recruited into (or at least endorsed by) the Authority? What happens to Rollins if he were to lose the belt, does he get booted out of the Authority because he can't get the job done?

Whichever ending made Seth look weaker.

Probably Sheamus getting involved and moving him and Reigns into a program.

  14. So with the holiday from classes I watched Takeover: Brooklyn yesterday (I'm behind on NXT) and Survivor Series tonight. I cannot believe this is the same company that did both shows.

To paraphrase what I read earlier, I'm basically paying 9.99 a month to watch NXT or old ppvs on a whim and I'm ok with sitting through the monthly PPV now that I no longer watch Raw or Smackdown.

  15. Weekend pickups were very good to me:

Barnes and Noble- Many Re action figures were on clearance so I got Buffy, Angel, Oz, Pinhead, and Jason for about $10 combined. Also picked up Vader Unmasked Pop

Target- Went in to get the Target Exclusive Daredevil and left with it plus a Heisenburg that I always wanted but could never find in the wild.
