Taking risks are what a CEO should do. As well as walking away from when a project isn't working. And that's what he did in both the WBF and XFL. And the film division, to a certain degree.
Like... Vince is REALLY good at running a business. It is amazing that the people who follow wrestling the most appreciate him the least.
It's not the money that he's making that's the problem, it's the money that he's leaving on the table. If they produced compelling television and streamlined the announcing, they'd make even more. I've said it before the WWE is like Adam Sandler, they're comfortable making the money that they make and don't care if they make more.

I love the fact that Enzo is wearing his merch to a meeting. How you doin'?
-
Nakamura works for the 'E now so I'm sure that he can wrestle Cena more than once and in different locations as well.
-
Riley hung around so long because most of his tenure was under John Laurinitis. He represented the bodybuilder frat boy type that they coveted for so long. Eventually the idea that you could just develop every talent from the ground up became a land of diminishing returns. While you still have your projects like Corbin and Gable, they're now supplemented by indy talents and international stars.
-
For Riley to be a top guy would require ability that he simply does not have. He's like Mason Ryan and David Otunga where he looked like a million bucks but wrestled like a penny.

A bidding war? TNA and GFW would have to have money for that to happen.

Eric Young is the TNA refugee that I looked forward to the least. That being said, doesn't it feel disappointing that Styles, Joe, Roode, Aries and especially Sting wasted so much time down there?

It's all about revenue. Slater could work for the 'E for 10 years and not make the company the amount of money that Cena does in 6 months.

And it's not just the weed... It was the gas mask/bong combo... Theoretically he's not just having a glass of wine... He's having a gallon of vodka.

Okay... My bad. Tunsil was not an idiot who allowed himself to be filmed making a horrific life choice... He is the victim of horrendous plot by an evil mastermind of Luthorian magnitude that cost him millions of dollars. No, it's in the middle.
When I said millenials it includes the generation after us that continues to make mistake after mistake regarding social media.
Marijuana should be legalized. Period. Tunsil cost himself millions, just like Shane Ray did. But it's from here that he's going to his revenge.
-
In regards to Tunsil... Yes, it's shitty that this stuff came up on draft day... But sooner or later it's his own responsibility. Millennials need to start thinking about the consequences of their actions. It wasn't like he was casually enjoying a joint or a bowl, he went full Pineapple Express with the mask and bong which is straight up Gordon and Blackmon material. Stop blaming the hacker and start thinking about Tunsil. He deserves a second chance, but don't act like he slipped and fell in the bong and mask.

Wow, seriously? Sentence 2 (they ran Punk & Bryan ragged) directly contradicts sentence 1 (they don't push non-bodybuilders). I legitimately can't understand how the second sentence ties to any of the rest of Bret's "points."
Triple H, by all accounts, is a huge wrestling fan from childhood. If Wikipedia is to be believed, he started watching when he was 5 and only started working out because he wanted to look like a wrestler. There's no way a guy who was pushing WWE to obtain the "Wrestling at the Chase" footage thought Hogan and Warrior were the best ever. Shit, he couldn't stand Warrior. Yeah, HHH only likes muscle guys. Fuuuuuck. Owens and Joe were already mentioned here. Look at the rest of NXT. Look at the Cruiserweight Tournament, whose crown jewel is an tiny tiny English kid. HHH is nowhere near the size queen that Vince and Dunn are.
I can't even.
Guys, remember when we thought of Bret as "the normal one" in that crazyass family?
He still is. It's just a sliding scale. Compared to Smith, Bruce, and Ellie he's Neil Degrasse Tyson.

I didn't think it was possible but Fox Sports 1 is actually turning more douchey than ESPN. I mean they already took Cowherd, they already have Clay Travis (who made an ass of himself again trying to prove his manhood to men), and now the guy everyone ripped off in Bayless
Don't forget Jason Whitlock. If Fox lures away Screaming A. Smith and Mike Ditka it'd be perfect. The only bad decisions that ESPN has made in these cuts are Simmons and maybe Olbermann.
-
Who would be invading though? The only people left are people in exile from the 'E and talent that the 'E has no interest in. James Storm's decision keeps looking better and better.
-
That's a valid point, but the other opportunity could lead to a bigger payday in the long run and it's not like TNA is on solid ground or known for their financial stability. They're losing talent like crazy and on the third network in three years. Would you place your future in Dixie Carter's hands?
-
I can't figure out if Storm is insanely loyal, mind numbingly stupid or amazingly shortsighted. He had could have been part of the deepest talent roster in recent memory. Instead? He's working in the smoldering remains of a never proud organization.

That's a great list. Throw in El Santo and Rikidozan and that'd be perfect.

Those of us who are in our forties and older... We are truly getting to the time in our lives where life takes more than it gives.
RIP to one of the funniest people I've ever seen.

Cena's problem is that he's so stale. Reigns just doesn't have that spark that you need to be the franchise.

Russell Okung to Denver. 5 years, 60 million,
Would really like a quarterback, but this is a start.

And finally some good news... The Broncos match the Dolphins offer sheet of C.J. Anderson.

What'd Big Fresh do to you? (Kidding)
Well your terrible bracketing would be annoying. But its more meth smoking trash who has sent me over the edge.I have aggravated Vic
I must be doing something right
To be fair he said "meth smoking trash" not "racist meth smoking trash." There's a difference.

Hansen should be inducted by The Desperados.
We want him to show up, right?
Seriously, Terry Funk makes the most sense. He helped Stan break into the business and has been a long time friend.

I don't think we have to worry about the Red Rooster going in anyway.Hayes probably shouldn't be going in either. Nor should Terry Taylor at any point, for what it's worth.
Would Taylor be that much less deserving than Godfather and Koko?

I would like MLB to go the way of the NBA and suspend players one game for stepping on the field in a fight. If a guy charges the mound, then only the teammates in the game can go on the diamond. None of this rushing on the field from the bullpen bullshit.
