  1. Meanwhile in the DVDVR money league, the season rests on the Bears v Saints as Kevin needs Wilson to outpace Forte to get the W, and Phil needs the Brees-Graham connection to blow up in order to down me.

It's going to be an interesting Monday, if only for fantasy purposes.

Oh, and Beckham wins the Josh Gordon Trophy as the fantasy MVP this year.

  2. As the sole owner of First Place in the DVDVR Money League, I am uniquely suited to dole out fantasy advice and tidbits that will enable you people to win your admittedly lesser leagues.

If you have any questions, post them here and I'll see if I have time to answer them.

Mods, if you could please delete other answers and ban the posters, it would be in the best interests of the board and the users.

  3. There was a study done a few years back that showed Wikipedia was, on the whole, more accurate than the Brittanica.

As always, check your sources to be accurate, but I have no problem citing Wikipedia on a discussion board.

  4. I picked up Bolden in one of my leagues for the same reason, but then I read their text that says that he's such a huge part of the Patriots special teams that he might not get a whole lot of work at RB. So I don't know. I would think that any of the Saints 3 would be better.

I've heard the same thing about special teams with Bolden. I don't think any of us can suss out the situation in New England any better than simply putting the names of any RB on a dart board. Picking up Bolden is as good of a guess as any. Playing him vs. one of the Saints 3 is a gamble, especially since NE is playing the Jets who can actually defend against the run. It could pay off, as we have no idea what's going to happen in NO and they are playing DET who is good against the run as well.

FF comes down to luck some times. I have a feeling OP will change his lineup at least 6 times between now and Sunday Noon. In this situation there is no obvious play.

  5. I think the Saints' backfield will be impenetrable for at least a week or two as we see what Ingram looks like with the hand. Both of their other backs have been performing fairly well, so they can afford to ease him in. If I was a betting man, I'd lay my pesos on Pierre first and then I'd spin the wheel and make the deal on either Ingram or Robinson. It's a toss up.

Bolden is interesting. I was forced to pick him up in the DVDVR money league because my RBs suck and so does the RB FA pool in that league. For at least a week or so, he should get the between the tackles work, as he's the bigger guy between their three backs. ROS, who knows? The Pats could dial up Grey (?) from the practice squad or add a new player. They could also rework their game plan and make Bolden irrelevant. This week I think Bolden could be an OK desperation play.

  6. If Michael Hayes cannot walk around like a banana with a fanny pack, I no longer want to live in this world.

At least it shows that the WWE hasn't gone totally corporate. Furthermore, he's one of the "wrestling guys" in the company, who obviously get a lot more leeway than someone in accounting or marketing.

  7. To those who own Shady-- what are you doing?

I've kept him in my lineup. First week of single digit points was an off day. Second week was a head scratcher. I figured he'd have to turn it around this past Sunday, and had his RT back.

Still single digit points. I've got Ben Tate on my bench, am I crazy for thinking about putting him in for McCoy?
