  1. Nothing she said is unique to her or about "pretending to be an executive". It's ridiculous shit but it's legitimately the way these people will talk and word answers. I've heard variations of what Stephanie said more times than I can count in my industry. I look at it as the industry's way of speaking carny, if you can understand any of it or think that way you're probably in the industry and if you can't understand it or think it's all nonsensical bullshit you're probably better off.

Yup. Go on LinkedIn and read the Pulse articles and you'll be able to speak like this in no time at all. Not that I'm recommending it.

  2.

What I would say to Punk is that Punk should've gotten the fee change for the Mexico tour in writing if they did agree to $20,000+.  Not saying they didn't screw him over, but in situations like that and you are haggling over pay, you got to get it in writing.  Verbal agreements are meaningless in business.

You're right to a point, but most business relationships of lasting value are built on a certain amount of trust. If you have to get everything in writing, then you're in a bad place and it's probably time to move on.

  3. Cesaro didn't make Swagger relevant, if anything Zeb made them both relevant. But right now, Swagger is the more compelling character. He'll have to stop hurting people if he wants a push, but I think he's been pretty good in the babyface role and I think it's a pity he was replaced by "the arrival of Erick Rowan" at Survivor Series.

  4.

Winning the Elimination Chamber wouldn't matter in this fantasy scenario, considering it occurs after WrestleMania now.

    It does???

Yeah, apparently it will be moved to June. Wouldn't surprise me if Rollins cashes in here.

The idea is that Lesnar will meet whoever wins the Rumble.

It is a bit ridiculous that noone has asked about where the fuck Lesnar is on RAW. I mean, a champ just needs not to show up now to avoid defending their title. I understand that Lesnar kinda has them held to ransom, but they could at least explain this on TV.

  5. It's still difficult to access the actual AoW site, though I see the itunes list (I refuse to actually install itunes though) - can anyone recommend any of the recent podcasts, other than the Punk one obv?

Although Colt has obviously decided it was worth the risk, there is a question over how much heat he has with WWE - is anyone hoping for a development deal now going to avoid his show? I hope he's got a good line up of follow-up guests so that he can capitalise on the attention.

  6.

I'm probably one of the few people who wouldn't mind another Miz WWE Championship run. If you book him like the Honky Tonk Man, it would probably work very well.

Or they could just give him in the IC Title and give him a Honky Tonk Man style run there. That belt needs SOMETHING to rejuvenate it. A year of people chasing a guy and failing to beat him might do the trick.

I think a simple thing WWE or any promotion with tv could do is put up a graphic when a champion wrestles stating how long they've held the belt, maybe number of successful defenses, win/loss record against their opponent, etc.

People are so into fantasy sports and statistics these days that quantifying wrestling seems like a natural fit.

  7. A little bit peripheral, but Alexei Sayle (Old British Alt-comedian, you may remember his recurring appearances on The Young Ones) wrote a piece on why ballroom dancing blows - I thought it was quite amusing, partly because it's kind of a parallel with the Fandango gimmick shift:

    http://www.theguardian.com/tv-and-radio/2014/nov/29/alexei-sayle-marxist-demolition-of-strictly-come-dancing

If you see a couple performing a proper Argentine tango, you are watching a dance created in the brothels of Buenos Aires that reeks of melancholy and sex and is accompanied by complex music that has grown alongside the dance and is inseparable from it. Then you watch the ballroom version, all gurning faces and robotic, angular, hideous movement, which on the show is generally accompanied by awful music that has absolutely nothing to do with the dance; you are seeing a great popular art reduced to a terrible travesty. An Argentinian friend of mine said: “When I see ballroom dancing what I always think of is impotence.” And he is right, a dance between men and women is always to some degree about sex but there is nothing more sterile and uncarnal than ballroom.

'gurning faces' - I think he's actually seen Summer Rae!

  8. It took him about three years to reconstruct himself to the spot where he probably should have been all along.

Yes. I think his overpush kinda hurt him more than helped him......though he's probably found a way to live with main-eventing Wrestlemania and being the only heel other than HHH to walk in and out with the WWE Title.

I was thinking about this today....The Miz kicked out of a second AA against John Cena. To me that was so incongruous that it should have become part of his gimmick i.e. nugget that won't flush. Felt like a missed opportunity, and at least a face-turn would have been based on something.

  9.

I'm guessing Cody didn't take a shot at Colt for no reason. Colt probably made a comment in the past, about 2nd gen wrestlers getting signed, not having paid any dues. Colt is kinda a bitter guy.

Colt made a comment about a 2nd generation wrestler not being seriously punished in FCW after nearly killing someone in a drunk driving accident. He was talking about Ted Dibiase Jr and all news articles said the other individual in the accident was not seriously hurt.

Well played sir. According to this, http://www.mc.edu/beacon/spring-2014/features/wrestling-calling DiBiase fell asleep at the wheel so Colt's comment is pretty fair comment I'd say - assuming that's what he was talking about.

  10. I doubt Vince says much on Austin's podcast. I wonder if Austin even brings it up.

Austin looks like shit if he doesn't, and Vince too probably. Vince is probably better off saying that he doesn't want to turn this already planned interview into a response to CM Punk's near 2 hour podcast; he'd take issue with some of the things Punk said, and there are other sides to this story, but broadly speaking he is entitled to his opinion and there are always things WWE can do to improve.
