  1. Dragon Gate used to work with a lot of groups, but I guess they've progressively gotten more isolationist since splitting with Ultimo years back.

When the company switched hands and changed name in 2004 they seemed to open up more and work with other promotions. At the start of Toryumon they worked a lot with Mpro but then around the end of 2001 until the change they didn't work with anyone that much. Ultimo Dragon and Yoshino entered the Differ Cup, they sent a 6man to an All Japan PPV and an outsider would come in to face Stalker Ichikawa but not much else.

After the change they've worked with most companies

So I'm curious about the birth of the 'Strong BJ'  element of Big Japan.  Was this something that was always part of the company and just over-shadowed by the death match wrestling or was it guys like Sekimoto who gave birth to the whole thing?

It's definitely a new thing. Back in the day BJW's secondary focus was on juniors wrestling -- Tajiri is their claim to fame in that respect.

The junior division has been dead for years, i think Tajiri left in 98-99 and the title's not been used since 2002 (Homicide's still the champ isn't he?). the juniors now and for all the time i've been watching BJW is pretty much just indy boys chucked together for Mens Teioh to play with. They had some really fun matches between 07-09 and for me should have resurrected the title then.

They started calling it Strong BJ in 2009 when more of Sekimoto's trainees started to get to a decent level and Yoshihito Sasaki had signed the year before and the title was created in mid 2012. Before that it was Sekimoto vs the outsider, teams fighting over the tag belts or as the juniors are just a bunch of matches. They did have a Heavyweight title between 01-05 but it was pretty worthless.

Honestly I don't know who's in this pic, but I love this spot.

Thats got to be daisuke sekimoto as the big spoon right?

And the little spoon is the Naomichi Marufugi?

Yep and Takaiwa's the meat in the sandwich. It's from a Real Japan show last year Tiger Mask/Marufuji vs Sekimoto/Takaiwa

    One of Sekimoto's trademark spots.

Irreversible - Holy cow, this was awful. That's 3-1/2 hours of my life I'll never get back. What do you mean, it's only 97 minutes long? It sure felt like 3-1/2 hours! This is a movie that's in love with itself, trying to be all artistic and stuff. This is a movie with the thinnest of plots - a rape and revenge - and uses the gimmick, a la Memento , of playing out in reverse chronological order. The gimmick is useless and serves no purpose. Many of the scenes are painfully overlong. The infamous rape scene is incredibly well done, brutal, violent, really realistic and nasty. The revenge scene is really violent but lost in a mess of "artistic" nonsense. You do get about ten minutes of incredibly gorgeous Monica Bellucci naked to end the movie but even that isn't enough to save this dog. 1/10 - one of the worst movies I've ever seen.

I warned you last year about this movie, Tabe.

If you really want your senibilities shaken to the core, check out Baise-Moi.

    then Salo

Personally i've never seen the rape scene as realistic. It's too beautifully shot to me.

  4. And awesomely, some United fans have already hit the panic button.

It's a twitter campaign, so it's probably 25% real 25% people defending Moyes and the other 50% asking "who's moyesout".

    Worthless gloryhunting idiots

Feillaini deal is apparently £27.5m. Which is more than his buyout clause was a few weeks ago.

Not exactly been smooth operators these past few weeks.

The deal didn't cost United £27.5m. United paid £23.5m for him, the deal is worth £27.5m to Everton due to Fellaini putting in a transfer request which cost him £4m in Loyalty bonus's
