Reading Backlund's book. He describes a match against Dusty in New Japan. The subject of Dusty in Japan is one I've pondered before.
Anyhow, the exact specific details of the description of the match in the book would lead me to believe it was taped. Yes/No?

Love it. Watching this and the Abdullah tags, Terry Funk could take punishment like no one else. It is different that Japan doesn't require (allow) the sympathetic babyface to make a comeback. Haven't seen Terry make a comeback yet.

If I read wrestlingdata correctly, this match on 1/15/1982 is Hansen's first AJPW match. He debuted the previous month in very memorable fashion . . .

Dusty was the man, but he had half the style of a Antonio Fargas. However, I never saw Antonio Fargas do a bionic elbow.

Cool. Yeah, I have that. With that one, you can't download the videos that are protected, and at some sizes, the videos are watermarked. Freemake Video Downloader WILL download those files, but they come out with stutters sometimes or won't finish downloading.

Attempting an internet wrestling show again: first time in years. First episode (which "aired" today), is the Big West 2015 Match of the Year. Not happy with the video quality so I did upgrade to new cameras for 2016...
Pretty good! Your commentary is excellent too. Also, I'm a big fan of kids in the audience (they don't do dumb chants.)

Right. That's what I figured. But how did Ernie Ladd headline in IWA (which I assume was non NWA, right?) and then move to other places without issue? Mil Mascaras was another IWA guy.
Also, is it true that Mil Mascaras has been holding on to and defending (?) the IWA title for the last 40 years????

Were there penalties in the 70s for wrestlers who worked renegade territories? Were such wrestlers still able to get NWA bookings without difficulty?

This is nine minutes of awesome. In my opinion, the Road Warriors sell enough. Crap ending, naturally, when Wahoo smacks the ref. I can't be disappointed. That fantastic Mid Atlantic crowd that would be gone within five years.
