Personally, I'm more interested in Goldberg and Roman throwing bombs at each other for 7-8 minutes in the middle of Mania than I am watching Roman have to spam Spears on Bray until he decides to sell one.

That's the same reason I loved Lensar/Rollins at last year's Mania. It was quick, the whole crowd was into it (I was there) and felt like you were watching a Street Fighter 2 matchup come to life.

If there's anything I want AEW to borrow from NJPW, it's their well-defined factions. It seems like AEW is trying to do this, but I'd like for there to be wrestlers under the Elite Banner, some who are Inner Circle, some who are Dark Order, and then unaffiliated wrestlers. Give these groups logos and banners and shit, when wrestlers from those groups come out show which group they belong to, etc.

This would help a lot. At times it feels like there are just a ton of guys running around for no reason.

Side note since it quickly got buried with the Twitter feuding

Meltzer said that Cody did indeed get a bunch of those trademarks he was looking for (obviously including Bash at the Beach).

The most interesting one however is apparently he got the trademark over the name "Dusty Rhodes"

    He's also got Bunkhouse Brawl.

I'n right on the cusp; I'll be 39 on Thanksgiving. I definitely identify more with Gen X than I do millennials or Gen Y or whatever the hell else it's called. Now, if you'll excuse me, I'm off to go play street hockey and then watch Clerks while enjoying grape Gatorade.

I'm right there with you. I'm a year younger than you, and I don't identify with the younger part of people born in the 1980s at all.

Any summary of what important things were said there? Not really in a mood to listen to Bauer for an hour.

You are in luck, I listened to it while stuck in traffic last night. There wasn't anything of note, but this is all I remember.

    • Said that working with AEW in regards to their shared talent worked out well.
    • Cornette is done with MLW.
    • Talked about how they've had options to co-run shows with NOAH but really haven't wanted to at this point.
    • Salina de La Renta is legit involved in the production of the show.

A lot of the questions were really bad.

I'm pretty sure Cracker Barrel knows what they're getting into. The last time they had some product placement, the winner of the match got confronted by a group of penis druids.

    I completely forgot about that!
