My opponent started Dwayne Bowe and CJ Spiller. He is losing to me by almost 20 points before the Monday Night game. I have Welker and Decker while he has Julius Thomas.
Hey, same here! My opponent also had Phil Dawson and San Fran's defense. Pretty lucky for me as I had Vernon Davis (Didn't know he wasn't playing until it was too late), James Starks, Randall Cobb, and Marshawn Lynch. I still managed to squeak out a win, thanks to Joique Bell. You know what they say; an ugly win is still a win.

Fuck you to life. My wife just found out this morning that she no longer has a job. This, in turn, means that we have to take our house (that we can't afford to hang onto) off the market, because who the fuck is going to give us financing now??!? We have no idea what we're going to do. Just complete devastation.

I am sitting on the tight end quandary of Jared Cook (who I hope rebounds to star status like week 1) or Jordan Cameron (The best thing going for Cleveland right now)? Cameron has consistency but Cook has that possible breakout potential
I'd go with Cook. I really can't see any justifiable reason to start any Browns player at this point. Yeah, their receiving corps is improved slightly with Josh Gordon back now, but it's still going to be Hoyer throwing to them, so yeah...no.
I am so sorry...

I'd go with Starks. We know Starks will get the bulk of the carries for GB, and while that's true of Ridley as well, I think it's a tougher matchup. Plus, Ridley has done fuck-all so far this year.

What other figures of the wrestling world, if they said they had cancer, would also have people saying that "X claims to have cancer" rather than "X has cancer"?
Shit, I don't know...Fritz Von Erich? Yeah, I got nothin' after that...

Sooooo....Not to be a noodge or anything, but are we getting the Week 2 results anytime soon?

Satomura & gang actually did make a couple of US appearances in CHIKARA in 2012. Over the Anniversario weekend, they did Meiko/Kagetsu vs Chisako/Sachiko and then Kagetsu vs Saturyne (not much of a match), Chisako/Sachiko vs Bravado Brothers (hilarious), and Meiko vs Sara Del Ray. Then for King of Trios, Meiko/Chisako/Sachiko had 3 matches, including a great trios with the Young Bucks/Mike Bennett with Maria ringside (Maria knew enough not to screw around with Satomura).
I saw that Trios match, which is why I think the sisters would be great in SHIMMER.

Okay, um...so, now that Trent Richardson is a Colt, do I dare still start him this week, being that the Colts are playing the 49ers?
Long-term, this definitely improves Richardson's prospects, IMO.
Who are your other RBs that you would start over Trent?
Pretty much the ones I was talking about earlier; James Starks, Joique Bell, and Giovani Bernard.

Yeah, what little I've seen of Shida, I've liked. Wonder who they'll put her up against.
And @James: I would've said Io as well, as I actually like her better than Mio, but with her holding STARDOM's top belt, I don't think she's really available. Plus, after what happened last year, I wouldn't be surprised if she were a little gunshy about leaving the country again.
EDIT: I just thought of another one; I think the Sendai Sisters might be fun to see stateside. Plus, in that instance, I'd be willing to bet that Meiko Satomura would want to come along to play chaperon, so bonus!

Well, unless something freaky happens, I don't think Pittsburgh will be reclaiming first place. Pitt has this 2-game series against San Diego, and then 6 games vs. Cincinnati and a three-game series against the Cubs. The Cards have 2 more games against Colorado, and then they face Milwaukee, the Nationals, and the Cubs. I'd say that the Pirates keep pace with the Cards, but right now, that still means they finish a game back. Should be a fun postseason, though...

In one league I'm starting Peyton at home against OAK, and sitting Vick vs. KC. Vick blew up huge last week, but its unlikely he'll reach the same heights. Peyton should shred OAK (same reason I'm starting Julius Thomas instead of Greg Olsen vs. G-men).
My other league is less clear - Brady vs. TB hoping for a break-out game, or RG3 vs. DET probably playing from behind all 4 quarters in the air? I've got RG3 in now.
Also, Julio Jones @ MIA, Julian Edelman vs. TB, Tavon Austin @ DAL, Reggie Wayne @ SF - Pick 3.
I would start Brady, then Jones, Edelman (Because of Brady), and Austin.

James is reading my mind. Aja Kong would be great and could be used in a number of ways (Double Kongs reunion?). I'd also be on board for Mio Shirai, Makoto, Syuri, and/or Kyoko Kimura as well.

I know that if Gronk starts, he's going into my flex spot. But if he doesn't, who should I go with? I've got:
Joique Bell (vs.WAS)
James Starks (vs. CIN)
Giovani Bernard (vs. GB)
I'm leaning towards starting Bell, because lolredskins, but I think a case can be made for any of them.

Well, SHIMMER is certainly presenting Kana as a top star. Her matches have been at or near the top of the card each time she's done shows for them, IIRC. I could see her holding the championship for a short stint, or even winning the tag titles with LuFisto. Tomoka Nakagawa and Kellie Skater as tag champs has been fun, and it really seems that Skater's stepped up her game. Ayako Hamada, I feel, is there to have good-to-great matches with the other top of the card talent, kind of like a Chris Benoit in that respect.
All in all, I'd say the Joshi stars that come to SHIMMER are being booked to their strengths. It'll be interesting to see who they bring in next that hasn't been there before.

I had the Biggest Blowout for the second week in a row in my league. Week 1 I came from behind to win 126.66 to 100.46, and I won this week 160.09 to 83.78.
So, yeah...Lynch + Vick + DeSean Jackson + Cobb = Good times.

I thought the show was pretty good, not great. I enjoyed the headline matches (DB/Orton and Punk vs. Heyman/Axel). Did not see Ryback as a Paul Heyman Guy coming, although I did call Punk going through the table. I just thought it was going to be Brock. The divas (ugh) match was better than I'd expected it to be, and I definitely dug the double Sharpshooter. I thought the finish came a bit out of nowhere, though. The WHC match was about as good as you could expect an RVD match to be at this stage in his career. Miz/Fandango and Dolph/Ambrose were inoffensive enough. Actually, I thought that was Miz's best match in some time. I thought that not putting the tag titles on PTP was a missed opportunity, although I could see them feuding with the Real Americans first. Has Titus O' Neal always been this good?
Like I said, good but not great.

Yeah, that's pretty surprising to see Philadelphia this low (says the guy who didn't even have it on his own ballot). I wonder why it got only 2 votes this time, as opposed to the 7 it got the first time around?

That Vick-to-Jackson TD probably just saved my fantasy team this week...

Todd Helton is finally retiring at the end of the season.
I also saw that Vladimir Guerrero has finally taken the hint and called it a career as well. I looked up their (Vlad and Helton) career numbers, and I was a bit surprised to find that, aside from power numbers, which Vlad has the clear edge, their offensive numbers are very similar. I think both are borderline Hall of Famers, with me leaning in the direction of "should be".

So Kana was successful in her first JWP Openweight Championship defense, against Manami Katsu. Not a big shocker, as this has the feel of a long-term angle, and even if it weren't, Kana isn't going to win JWP's top title, only to drop it in her first defense, especially to an, albeit skilled, 18-year old girl who's only been in the business for 2 years.
In other news, Syuri now has 2 titles, having defeated Serena Deeb to win her second WNC Divas Title, she also defeated Zeuxis to win Reina's world title.
