So this Saturday, Syuri has the opportunity to win her 4th concurrent title. She currently is the WNC Women's Champion, the Reina World Champion, and the CMLL-Reina International Champion. She has also made it to the finals of the tournament to crown the first champion for the Krush kickboxing promotion (where she's currently undefeated at 7-0).
I find it odd that Syuri has accomplished what she has and yet can't seem to get any traction when she goes to places like WAVE. It seems like she's always stuck in the upper-midcard for anyplace that isn't WNC or Reina.
EDIT: And my streak of posts being at the top of the page is alive at 3

Time's running out and there's still 2 spots open!
-
Aw, that sucks!
Hopefully something else will come in to fill the void before long.

Are there still spots left? The defending DVDVRMB champ wants in!
PM me your email and I'll send you an invite

Shame on all of you for not mentioning Ricardo on Spanish commentary motioning towards Cole, JBL & Lawler's table during the Rollins spot, saying "Why not theirs?!"
I totally caught that, and lol'ed pretty loudly at that. Glad I'm not the only one.
I really thought that the Del Rio beating Batista with a crutch thing was the perfect way to get Batista out of the WM main. You have Alberto wail on Big Dave until the damn crutch breaks, have the doctor come out to check on Dave and then call the match off. Del Rio walks away all smug and shit and then BAM! Brock Lesnar's music hits. He and Heyman march down, scare off all the officials, Brock F5's Batista and puts him in the Kimura Lock, breaking his arm. Done. No more Batista at WM, plus you set up a Brock/Batista feud down the road.
I also thought the Divas match was a missed opportunity to debut somebody new. Hearing AJ go on about how there's no competition for her and she's beaten everybody in the back. If Sara Del Rey or Kong or someone like that had come out in response, that would have been tremendous. Oh, well.
Other than those quibbles, this was a great show.

Okay, since Craig and Dank both had trouble signing up, here's what we're going to do: If you want in, PM me with your email address, and I'll send you and invite. Also, I'll be keeping track of who's in on the first post, so you guys can tell how many spots are left.
I knew I'd forget to mention something. There is an inning limit, but it's 1500 innings, so I guess that kind of makes it no limit for all intents and purposes.

That ref's reaction to Okada's dropkick is outstanding.

Okay, so I just got the fantasy league I was talking about in the Offseason Thread started up, so I figured I'd start this thread as a catch-all for everybody to discuss trades, ask for advice, etc.
My league has 12 spots. I've already given spots to Craig, Kuetsar, and Dank, as well as 3 of my friends in real life. So, including me, that's 7 spots, which means there's 5 left. The league is a points league and the stats are as follows:
Batting: HR, RBI, R, SB, AVG, OPS
Pitching: W, SO, ERA, WHIP, SV, K/BB Ratio
Rosters are C, 1B, 2B, SS, 3B, OF, OF, OF, Util., SP, SP, RP, RP, P, P, P, P, 6 Bench spots, and 2 DL spots
I think that's all the relevant info, but if I left something out, just ask. The spots are going to be first come, first served.
So, who wants in?
As of right now (March 3), here are the guys who are in:
Me
My brother-in-law
Dank
Craig
Kuetsar
cubbymark
Kevin Wilson
Rippa
PaulS
Ed
SirFozzie
In addition, invites have been sent to two of my IRL friends, but one isn't doing fantasy baseball this year and the other one intends to, but he hasn't yet because he's a lazy bastard. So that locks this up. Good luck, eerybody!

Is Eddie the only Guerrero in the Hall?
EDIT: An argument could be made for Muta, too, if he isn't already inducted.

RIP, the original child star (or would that be Our Gang?).

I wonder what would've happened if Mick Foley had died in Hell in a Cell. By his own accounts, the chokeslam through the roof was the far more dangerous of the two bumps, and the chair was just inches from coming down right on Mick's head. A little variance, and I think Mick could've been gone.
To answer my own question; At the very least, I think Owen Hart would be alive today, as I can't imagine Vince greenlighting anything like what killed Owen if Foley had died.

Just thought of this.
Will Vince induct himself? Will it have to be posthumously?
I'm pretty sure I know the answer, but I can't be arsed to look it up; Has Vince Sr. been inducted, or Jess? They'd have to have been, right?

Ever go to bed thinking "Maybe, if I'm lucky, I won't wake up tomorrow"?
So, yeah, fuck depression.

I found this board after someone at Scotsman's site recommended it because I was looking for themes. I want to say this was 2003-ish. I didn't start posting semi-regularly until, IIRC 2005.
Oh, and to answer a question from earlier in this thread, Resident Evil did sadly delete his entire meltdown. I wish it was still here, because it was the biggest "WTF?" moment I have experienced here.
Yeah. I don't remember what he said anymore, but it was seriously nuts. Not internet message board nuts, but seriously, seek mental health nuts.
Yeah, if I remember correctly, you even said "seek help" or something like that to the guy...

That's really cool, BMaB! Congratulations!

Wow. I mean, I like Bronson and everything, but at this stage of his career...fuck, man.
Was Bronson ever worth 2/23?

FWIW, I think I found my way here back in the day from the nCo site.
Same here, I remember liking Dean and Lorefice and all of them from RSPW, and I subsequently found the nCo website, and have been following them since. Back then I was even more of a lurker than I am now, as I've never really liked to post unless I had something worth adding to the conversation. Man, I'm getting old...
I always enjoyed Sven's and David Smith's posts, as well as Winnipagan and Devin. Naimark was the bee's knees and Grimmas was always entertaining. Miss those guys...

Even though I'm kind of showing my ass in the basketball league I'd like to get involved in a second fantasy baseball league I actually care about. Is there something existing? I wouldn't mind going 16 teams if there is the interest.
Yeah, I'll be putting the call out in a week or two. I save a spot for you, Dank.

I personally liked both Triple H's and Undertaker's from WM 27. Like mco said, Hunter's "For Whom the Bell Tolls" entrance was the perfect entrance for someone who's facing the Undertaker. And I just liked the simplicity of Taker coming out to "Ain't No Grave".

would it get over if they announced monetary bonuses pre-match for the winner of the next match? or would they have problems establishing a believable total of prize money to a match?
I remember back in the day, Gorilla and Jesse went on about "the winner's/loser's share of the purse" all the time.
