  1. But, that footage wasn't a draw in the first place. (Well not much of a draw) so why does it become more valuable, especially since it is already readily available in multiple formats already? Not to mention, no one is really watching it now. In regards to matches, WWE already either has nearly all a wrestlers body of work (sting), or they a relationship with another company that would have similar or better footage (joe). It's not like that Sting DVD didn't sell because it lacked TNA footage. I just think the footage as a whole is worth almost next to nothing. With there being only one buyer, the lowballing will likely be extreme and whoever would try and unload it to the WWE is going to get very disappointed in their offer.
  2. I've mentioned this elsewhere, but isn't the value of that footage practically nothing? Outside of WWE no one has interest and all the footage they have, WWE has better footage of for the most part. Given how much footage the WWE has, I can't see much reason they'd be interested in this stuff.
  3. So I'm now two for two on falling asleep during wwe ppvs. Good job WWE.
  4. Sorry board hates my phone. Anyone else really wish they'd have taken the baby just so we'd have gotten Broken Matt freak out promos over it.
  5. If you had personally cost me millions of dollars just because of your ego, I wouldn't piss on you if you were on fire. Gotta a feeling Punk feels a bit like that about Hunter and he's not wrong in his case.
  6. I know you are being sarcastic but UFC has probably been paying him decent enough without a fight even under his belt. He hasn't complained about it so far so it can't be too bad. Someone mentioned Punk's legacy and as an admitted mark for the guy....what legacy in the WWE? He had moments but he's nothing to them in the grand scheme of things.
  7. Care to wager on it? WWE wants/needs him. He doesn't need or want them. Punk, unlike a lot of wrestlers, seems to have not pissed away the money he made so he's probably able to stick to his convictions for as long as he wants with all the other cheese he's making.
  8. Seriously doubt Punk is ever coming back. He hates the guy taking over and he's not exactly a fan of the wife either.
  9. Why? TMZ has been pretty legit throughout the years and Hall being a guy with problems is old news at this point.
  10. I'm sorry, but Meltzer talking about not violating USDA rules over his recent photos is hilarious.
  11. Well that sounds hopeful. I was worried with how GLOW was, it was taking on something similar.
  12. Has there been any info about the tone of the GLOW show? Are we talking Mad Men, Beyond the Ropes, Hee Haw?
  13. So the quote thing isn't working for some reason.... Russo isn't making a living on wrestling anymore. There is no way a podcast is keeping him afloat. Which is why it's all so much more baffling. A lot of people aren't aren't really saying his name, they are talking about the stupid shit he said. No one is really praising him. It's not drawing money. It's just a guy screaming into the darkness of night which a few people hear and then tell their friends about this crazy guy screaming in the middle of the night and it's annoying.
  14. Someone explain to me why Russo gives a shit about wrestling. He says it ruined his life. It's gotten a guy so mad at him he's going to kill him. He's bares some responsibility for helping hurt two wrestling companies. Fans didn't buy his book and his podcast can't be paying equal to writing another tv. Plus a bunch of 40 somethings hate his guts because of what he's done in wrestling. Why would you keep hanging around something that clearly doesn't care for you to be around?
  15. I doubt all the advertising in the world would really help them at this point. Given how this type of story has played out throughout the course of wrestling history, I suspect Cornette is going to end up looking like a genius again for pointing out it would have cost Corgan less to simply start a small wrestling organization and grow it. Then again, didn't he already fuck up doing that?
  16. Fair point. I guess I don't consider 3 months to be long enough. Did they talk about him every week on tv? Things have to pass him by so he's not relevant when he comes back I guess. He needs to be forgotten for a while. As long as he's still fresh in the fans minds that stink is going to stick.
  17. Really...there's Brock, Cena, and then pretty much everyone else. They are trying to change things but that is what they have created. No crap they won't let guys wrestle elsewhere, but any notion that everyone but those two being important is ridiculous.
  18. You are right, Cena isn't going anywhere. Except that part where he's slowly trying to leave like the Rock.
  19. Or you just pointed out how shitty and terrible their writing is considering how much talent they have on deck and waiting in the wings. If Roman was pushing numbers higher I'd agree that he's needed, but since he ain't, i don't. Let him go away. For fucks sake, has there by anyone else who got his level of push by wrestling in only one other company their entire career? David Arquette springs to mind. What about Lashley in WWE? Wrestling needs another Daffy Duck. Kurt Angle had it and it was glorious. We need that again.
  20. You could send him away to come back fresh. I'm not in the know, but i have a feeling a Japanese or Mexican promotion would pay top dollar for Roman for 2-3 months. And don't y'all dare act like the WWE just needs Roman around.
  21. Ya know seeing that photo of Owens and his kid enjoying his success in wrestling is just so much better than what guys like the Rhodes brothers and Jake Roberts went through.
  22. Now that it's a universal title, when do we get our first intergalactic challenger?
  23. Gotta love HHH putting over all that young talent.
