  1. Brock is Hogan in WCW circa 94 pretty much right? He probably has no desire to put anyone over and he knows Vince would probably offer him double to do a job. Isn't Orton supposed to be out on concussion issues?
  2. I suspect a few former wives were happy he had some income they could take.
  3. Didn't he already send that message out multiple times? Hogan, Flair, Dusty, every other promotion that opposed him being dead, etc.
  4. I don't know...his hypocrisy and 20+ years of complaining have gotten to the point where I'm sure even his kids and wife wouldn't mind if he just stfu about wrestling. Little Annie an VJ must hate women crush wednesdays on twitter.
  5. I think we can all agree the world would have been better off if Benoit had taken his frustrations out on Russo.
  6. Throw a hot dog down a hall way and then cover it in stds. Same experience.
  7. Maybe I heard Dave wrong...but did he say Corgan paid more for 30% of TNA than most buyers are offering for the entire company? Holy fuck is Corgan a moron if that's true.
  8. Could Bryan be a ringside manager? I could see him taking Ziggler under his wing and trying to turn his career around.
  9. I took it another way. It sounded like he knew something he shouldn't and knowing how well Dave is connected, it wouldn't have been a total surprise, but holy crap that would be one helluva lawsuit. Aren't doctors not supposed to talk to people about other patients? Without Dave mentioning specifics, it's really hard to say what he knows, or even if he should know what he knows.
  10. To make people think the fake shit is real. It is a very dumb thing.
  11. That's what Dave was disputing and while I respect Dave, I'm suspect how he thinks he knows about Bryan's medical records to dispute them. Now Bryan could be telling a lie but it wouldn't make much sense. Y'all really need to read Lesnar's book. He talks about how the WWE turns guys into such marks for the business and the company that it ruins their lives. That's really apparent with Bryan and it's kinda sad.
  12. No seriously. If someone feed Dave's Bryan's medical information isn't that a violation of laws?
  13. How does Dave Meltzer have information about Bryan Danielson's health to dispute what Danielson said in the AP interview?
  14. Has there ever been a discussion about what shows Vince does/did actually watch? I know he's very busy and very unaware of culture but there had to be something he enjoyed in the last 40 years.
  15. Why did Sons of Anarchy only influence the smaller wrestling federations....
  16. I was thinking in syndication, not origial run as a comparison point to being on the network where it wouldn't be original material. I don't think TNA will create new fans once exposed to more people unlike Trek, who time has been very kind to. My distaste for TNA has nothing to do with their ratings dwindling to smaller and smaller numbers after failing to break a 2.0 rating.
  17. Seeing all this talk of women wrestling leads me to ask....how many 4*+ women's matches have involved women from the WWE? I can only recall one off the top of my head.
  18. But Trek is a more valuable property. It appeals to a larger audience. Outside of Rhoode, TNA didn't exactly make those guys. WWE might steal something from TNA but it's not like this Royal Rumble vs War Games stuff here in comparison. The Austin comparison might be alright if it looked liked TNA had someone like that, but really doesn't look like they did. Austin was already great before he got to ECW. It was a spot of coffee and gone. Pick three letters and put them together, AJ Styles probably had a ***+ match in that federation too long before being in TNA. It's not like TNA was making their roster into bigger stars. AJ was pushed in TNA but does anyone think that really helped his career more than his work in Japan and ROH? Yeah it's really all just content. But some 4 odd million people were WCW fans who just stopped watching wrestling. When they had a chance to relive that magic they bought dvds and network subscriptions. TNAs fan base is no where close in size to that.
  19. Difference being they made WWE lots of money. Paige can probably come back but without a spoonful of crow and humility in her, it's not like she was that special.
  20. Those other companies all were fighting to beat Vince and he drew from them to do better for himself. No one from TNA is likely going to become the next Hogan. It could happen but... If ratings don't matter for value then why was that the determining factor for reselling content for decades? Star Trek comanded more than Andy Griffith because more people would watch Trek. If more people aren't going to buy the network for the additional content, then what is it truly worth? Why will they start once it's on the network? No other company is or did better under the WWE banner so how do you expect TNA to be different? They certainly have been helpful in making WWE more money, but no one is clamoring for Stampede to return. I agree they could and probably will buy it, but the notion its worth much I just can't grasp given the metrics that are available to look at. Are the WWE paying money for appearances on the network? They would probably not buy it then just to never give Jarrett another dime outta spite. How many more checks would they need to start writing then....that has to be a huge headache.
  21. You are valuing things from the wrong perspective. As a fan, yeah that stuff is cool, but as a business, if I want to determine what value this product has, you have to look at the money it has been able to make. That is not very much. Their ratings constantly went down. People were clearly not interested. Why would a business pay a lot for something that has demonstrated it has a low value? You really think TNA is worth more than WCW? Didn't WWE only pay like 1.5 million for something like 30 years of footage? WCW ECW NWA you could all point to how they tie into the WWE. You can't do that with TNA. All they did was aquire guys WWE got rid of for one reason or another. TNA happened as a reaction to WWE, but it really doesn't tie into the WWE narrative. They are just an outside wrestling company who had a bigger stage to fail on than most post WWE winning their little wrestling war.
  22. He's already running GWF. It's content that didn't draw for a crap and has no real tie to the WWE - while I agree it would be great on the network, the value of it as a whole has to be extremely limited. Wasn't TNA's highest rating darn close to equal with the WWE network subscribers numbers...I gotta feeling the only people who were ever going to watch that stuff already did and given TNA's ratings plunging decline, I am very doubtful anyone is interested in a second viewing. Especially if they had to pay for it the second time around.
  23. Given the shitty lifestyle that the WWE requires, and the nature of the job, wouldn't adderall be almost a requirement? Brock vs Necro would be a one hit fight. Necro hits Brock with a chair. Brock shrugs. Necro runs.
  24. I don't think (insert WWE creative idea) was meant to crap on (insert WWE Superstar) but it did.
  25. I'll give you Braden but they already have years of Jeff footage to do that with.
