So how are the All NBA teams picked? I've never heard of awards affecting contracts in a way that is centrally mandated, for example from a CBA. Seems like there's potential for... Shall we say unseemlyness?

Writers from around the league vote on three teams of five players based on the typical basketball positions, ie each team has point guard, shooting guard, small forward, power forward, and center. Take into account this rule is built off the Rose rule where being an All-Star starter (voted on by the fans) and or MVP (voted on by the writers) could effect contracts.

Why isn't Ohno on the card? Seems like a weird omission.

Doesn't that fallow a pretty standard pattern...I mean Ohno will likely work a dark match that night or be heavy on any shows they tape on or around it. Didnt the same happen to Crews when he first came in

...just purchased "The Show 17" yesterday and I'll be uploading my Create-A-Player into this years game via the Year to Year Saves(this is first time Ive used this Awesome option...in other words you could quite literally play the ENTIRE CAREER of your Created Player).  So Im sure Ill be spending alot of time on this game...word is from developers they've added thousands of new animations from fielding to batting and everything in between.    Let's PLAY BALL!

How 2k and EA haven't figured out how to do that with there games is beyond me.

Not sure what to root for more.

8th seed Pelicans or Pelicans missing out and Boogie ending up at another nowhere near it franchise next season.

Pelicans 8th seed losing to the Warriors and Boogie ends up nowhere near the franchise next season.

6 or 7 Patriots (so far) have said they're not going to the White House when the team visits later this year.

Hot takes incoming.  Please find shelter.

And would anyone be so kind as to check what those same peoples hot takes were when players said they wouldn't go to Obama's white house?

Humble Monthly seems to be swinging heavily into "Have a discount on like one third of a game that has $50+ in DLC if you want to actually play it", but that's as much to do with how broken the current model for AAA games is than anything.

I can only complain so much, I endorsed Crusader Kings II, I am part of the problem.

But at least they arn't releasing Crusader Kings ever year or two. And the DLC for it generally implants major changes. Its not like there just adding cars you can drive.

This too. To me some of the best players managed to make shitty teams overachieve. The Knicks with Melo have constantly underachieved unless he's NOT playing. Like Linsanity. Or even last night when he was benched in the 4th and they won. He just seems like a team chemistry killer to me. And maybe that's unfair. Maybe that's partly on shit office putting dumb pieces together and awful coaching. But you can look at these trade scenarios and no one wants to give up their core. They'll only take him for scrubs. Because if he disrupts things they can just sit his ass down and let the people who like playing together keep playing together.

That's part of why I cant figure out how the Knicks havent been able to convince the Clippers to be part of a three team deal with the Cavs. Love to the Knicks, Melo to the Clippers, and Cavs get there pick of a pg/sg that James wants.

Carmelo Anthony's biggest issue is that he's not good enough to be the best player on a championship team, but too good to be the second best player on his own team.  His Olympic experience shows that he is extremely valuable when playing with players at his level, but his NBA experience shows that he isn't nearly as valuable when playing with players worse than him.

And that hes done everything in his career to prevent the teams hes played for (minus Denver) from being able to fill out a roster with those type of players.

  9. Agree it was good...but I'm not sure if there was any new information in it. Other then Vince admitting he was wrong about something at the end.
